Addario's Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electrical

Well, I guess I’ll add to the chorus of people who have had recent terrible experiences with Addario’s: (1) While they were installing, they took zero care of ensuring they weren’t disturbing my family, including by waltzing into my sleeping infants’ room without notifying the parents and terrifying my kids. (2) They did an atrocious job cleaning up after themselves and we had piles of cleanup to do. (3) They left some of their equipment here and we tried multiple times call them to return it and they never came to pick it up. Well, I guess it’s ours now. (4) They promised to do a check in after one year and when they didn’t, we called them. When we tried to VERY KINDLY state that we had some concerns, they LITERALLY HUNG UP ON US. (5) Their installation was subpar and we’ve had issues with the ants getting in ever since they did the installation. DO NOT USE.

SCAM! Stay away! If I could give 0 stars I would. Called to make an appt for my central air which was not working. Was told on the phone by Erica that it's $149 for a consultation fee for a technician to come out and diagnose the issue and that this fee would be waived if I had Addarios complete the work and if I did not use them I'd be responsible to pay $149. This sounded completely reasonable so I agreed to the appt. The technician shows up and hands me an iPad once we are in my basement. He said the "troubleshooting fee" is $370.65. I was so confused and asked what the $149 is for. He said that is just to get him to the door but the troubleshooting fee is to diagnose the issue and if I decide to move forward the $149 is waived but regardless I am responsible for the $370.65. I was so confused and outraged and felt like i was completely duped on the phone. Had I known I would've shopped around. This is clearly a "hidden fee" that they intentionally did not mention. I called Addarios and was transferred to Erica who claims she is not a technician and would not know there is a "troubleshooting fee" which is complete BS as the technician told me a level one troubleshoot is $370.65 for non-members and $315 for members. This sounds pretty standard to me and anyone working there should be aware of this and has the duty to tell potential clients on the phone before sending anyone out. I am a petite female and at the time my husband was at work and I was home with my newborn. I felt intimidated to say the least...this is a dishonest company and I regret not checking these reviews before calling them. It seems I am not the only person who has experienced this. This behavior seems to be common practice and I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Addario's Plumbing blew me away and surpassed all my expectations with their exceptionally fast and friendly service. In these days, it sometimes feels impossible to find just one good trade-person! Not so at Addario's Plumbing, they have a team of unmatched professionals, who arrive promptly and are efficient in tackling any plumbing issue. Their attention to detail and expertise left me thoroughly impressed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Addario's Plumbing for any plumbing needs; they are undoubtedly the best in the business!

It was good and fixed the leak. They're flexible with the time and kept up to date on when they will come and contact her when to do the project.

Their customer service pledge states: “If you’re not 100% satisfied with our work, send us your feedback. We’ll jump on it pronto to make things right!” Do not believe this. The gas boiler they installed was woefully underperforming. We could not get the house any hotter than the low 60’s. They sent a “plumber” over to investigate, he had zero understanding of how the system worked, and chewed our ear off for an hour with a million reasons why we should not expect the $20,000 system to work any better than it did. We continued to communicate through email and text with the owner Joe Addario about the performance issues, and he ignored our messages. 3 weeks went by with some very cold days when they finally sent over another plumber, Raul, and he discovered that the boiler had been left with a factory setting of a maximum water temperative of 130 degrees Fahrenheit. For the size of our house, that figure needed to be adjusted to 170. Boom! Problem solved. Heating works great now. We did not appreciate being gaslighted and then ignored for the 20 coldest days of winter while wearing down jackets and wool hats at the kitchen table. I strongly advise against ever hiring this company.

Went online Monday February15, looking for plumber to change gasket on bathroom sink. You provide an invitation and I reached out to Addario’s They said I was on a recorded line after explaining what was wrong they said price would be $119 plus parts. After making appointment they called back twice changed time and was still over an hour late. I had a 10% off coupon, Tech said he was giving me senior discount instead. Not only did I not get discount they charged me $238 plus the $119 claiming that was a consultation fee. I called company asked what they consulted on I told them exactly what was wrong. It turns out I was right and I provided the parts. Company was only willing to deduct $49. after listening to recorded line. Had to send tech back - shut off now leaking, only changed one faucet and he moved water spout so it wasn’t in center of drain and spraying all over sink. When tech arrived second day he said he was only going to fix leak on shut off. Second faucet was not part of original job. I called company back again they had service manager call me he agreed both faucets should have been changed and asked what would it take to make me happy. First of all, any company I ever dealt with, if they charged a fee and if I hired them they deducted that fee. If I didn’t hire them then I was responsible for it. Based on that, I felt the $119 fee should be deducted. It ended up costing me $308 to put a part in, which I provided, it took three different appointments and as of today the shut offs are still leaking.

I requested someone to take a look and troubleshooting the system. The guy showed up and just trying to sell a $18000 new heating system. This is very dishonest to take advantage of the situation. Basically I paid $150 for a sales pitch.

Was solicited for business. Had Addario rep come out for walk thru. Was told they could do the scope of walk and would deliver an estimate within two days. Two days became two weeks which become a month and so on. I’d follow up from time to time and receive the same response that it’s on its way. If the company is unable and/or unwilling to perform the work they should have said so from the very beginning. Moreover, they should have more respect for ppl during these unprecedented times rather come in to someone’s home potentially putting them at risk.

The plumbing work is top notch. Addarios provided us with a temporary water heater while we awaited the work to be completed. We had our heat and hot water back after three days of work and what was once a 10x10 room filled with pipes and blasting heat, is now a space we can actually use for laundry appliances with a very neat configuration of pipes, valves, and a box on the wall. We requested they put down flooring protection, which they did when removing the old equipment, but took up before the job was complete. We had just had new floors put in, as well as all them stairs. The lead installer kept us informed at every step of the process. The rebate and loan application was a little wonky, but Addarios has folks dedicated to handling those details. The main problem in getting timely information was that one of the responsible ppl was only working part time.

Hired them to install a double vanity sink and a shower insert. so awful that i had to keep notes on everything they did wrong just to make sure i didn't miss anything (and to make sure i left a review to warn everyone...). here is a list of things they did correct and incorrect: 1. nearly every time they scheduled to come by, they were late (i.e., showed up 2 HOURS after the 2 hour window they gave me). 2. several times rescheduled without telling me, causing me to take more time off of work than necessary 3. We have a vapor barrier against our foundation to prevent stray water from coming in from outside. I specifically told them three times, and even wrote on the vapor barrier in permanent marker to NOT puncture it. Came home to find they drilled roughly 20 holes in it. 4. ordered the wrong shower base twice. 5. Lied about it taking only 1 or 2 days (ended up taking 8 weeks). 6. any time i called for any reason, i was either on hold for 30 minutes or they got back to me 24 hours later. 7. when asking to talk to a manager, nobody ever got back to me. 8. Extremely aggressive and rude when collecting the remaining balance Eventually I marched down to the office and they seemed to take my complaint seriously, but even after that the same problems persisted. what they did correct: 1. finished the job...eventually... the work itself was fine in the end, but definitely not worth the headache and anxiety that they caused. you've been warned...

VERY BADLY. I was charged around $9K for around $2K of parts and $3K of labor. Half the house is not working and having promised to do the whole job, I was told later they were waiting for parts. A call today supposedly arriving from 10-12:00 pm did not arrive until 3:00 pm and still nothing has been done. These people should not be on Angies list

They quoted me a water heater with installation at $2,600. A comparable model from Lowe's is $1,300 with installation. I'm not even convinced I needed a new water heater: the gas company had replaced my gas meter and when they tried to relight the water heater's pilot, they weren't able to. They said the gas vents needed cleaning. But Addario said I either needed a new gas valve for $1,600 (!!) or a new water heater for $2,600. Obviously, when your water heater fails, you just want it replaced fast. It looks to me like Addario's tries to take unfair advantage of people in that situation. I ended up getting a new WH from Lowes. But I still wonder if I could've found someone to replace the pilot assembly for a couple of hundred dollars.

Little surprised why they are here on Angie's List at all! Anything and everything they did was to just 'con' the customer. The ultimate deception was that they used my signature on the invoice with the price which was not agreed upon! They just used my signature from the original estimate to what they wanted to charge me! There were some missing links between the salesperson who induced us to sign the contract and actual work. Work was just okay - however, after completing the work, when a faucet had a leak, I was told that the this will not be taken care of until we make the payment of the charges on the invoice that was digitally doctored (fabricated!) Please do not trust them!

They cancelled my appointment at the last minute. I left work early to meet with them. I could have guessed it because they called 2 days before asking for more information when I had already given them all the information they requested. I now see the bad review and understand why. I'm probably lucky they actually did canceled!

They responded to the email I sent via home advisor (couldn’t find them on Angie’s list app) by calling me. They had great reviews on Home advisor, mixed reviews here which I saw after the fact. I explained over the phone that o thought based on the error code what the problem was. They said they could have someone come out between 10am and 12pm. They initially said by 10 but the office called and kept me updated which was nice and he showed at 11:20am. $139 just to come out and assess...I had done my research and looked up both parts that might be needed (retail price of course, not the discounted rate that contractors get). Flame sensor was listed at $45 at parts place close by, $11 via internet. The service guy came and was very nice. He took a look at my system and told me that he would test the flame sensor first. Removed it (took all of 30 seconds), said it was dirty and he would clean it. Took a piece of scrap paper from his bag and literally scraped it for 7 seconds. Then put back in. My heat was fixed! While doing so he said they should be replaced every 3 years and when I asked how much it would be he said $485! I told him the part costs like $20. He said “that’s our price.” I said it looks like I could do that myself! He said, “you can.” Told me I should purchase online for less and when I clarified how to put it in, he showed me. He was very nice. I asked him how much the total was and he initially told me it would be $139 + $165 (I think)... I shared that it it seemed very high considering it took him all of 2 minutes to clean and replace. Ultimately he lowered the price to $119 for the cleaning and info shared. I guess way better than what it could have been but I feel really sorry for the person that doesn’t do their research at all. He could have easily said it needed replacing. Crazy!!!!! So expensive! He spent more time documenting his work with picture taking on his iPad than it did to diagnose the problem. He did say that if they came back out again. To service my system that I wouldn’t have to pay the $139 again. Oh and if they had come the night before at 2am it would have been $195 to come out. I’m happy he gave me the info he did but to me the cost was outrageous. Maybe I’m a little unrealistic but... wow. Granted I do have to say I liked the guy. I realize it’s the company that sets their prices.

Hi All, This people are horrible. Avoid dealing with them at all cost. Here is my sad story with adarios Inc. In December 2017 we signed contract with Adarios for bathroom remodeling typically in 6 days and paid 40% of the total amount as a deposit. On 02/22/18 contractors from Adarios inc. have spent whole day demolishing old contents the bathroom. After demolishing they demanded second portion of 40% of total amount as a deposit or they would not continue work. 02/26/18 Contractors from Adarios Inc. have spent all day doing plumbing - 2 pipes have been replaced. 02/27/18 Electrician stayed all day at our house and installed a bath fan and made a hole in the ceiling while he was doing it. He also removed all old electrical switches and lights. 02/28/18 Plumber was supposed to install a bath tab but nobody has shown up. 03/03/18 Plumber has shown up and stayed all day doing nothing. Nothing was changed in the bathroom on that day. 03/08/18 Another plubmer has shown up and redid 2 pipes from 02/26/18. He told us that piping has been done incorrectly. 03/10/18 After multiple calls to the office we have scheduled another plumber but nobody has shown up. 03/12/18. Joe, Vice President of Adarios Inc., called and told me that a shower panel was wrong and new one needed to be reordered. We got approval on everything that we were going to buy from the salesperson before signing the contract, so it was a real surprise to us that we had to buy something else. 03/16/18 Installation of a bath tab was scheduled but nobody has shown up. 03/17/18 Installation of a bath tab was scheduled. Plumber came at 12 pm and spent 2 hours at our house. At 2 pm he told me that he could not do anything today since there was a wire in his way. This wire must be moved before installation could proceed. In a couple of hours electrician has shown up and told me that he needed a few hours to figure out where wire was connecting and that his office told him that I should pay additional 700 dollars for moving a wire. Nothing was done that day. We figured out on our own where wire was connecting to and told Joe, Vice President Adarios Inc. 03/19/18 Plumbers and electrician have shown up and finally placed tub into bathroom. After 1 month we got bath tub and a fan in our bathroom. Everything else looks completely demolished. 04/10/18 - 04/12/18 Carpenters installed a cardboard for tiles. We called office another 3 days without any luck to setup a tile installation. 04/20/18 My husband called them, and they still told him that they could not schedule anyone in near future. My husband has threatened them with a call to a lawyer. 04/23/18 Tile installation has been sheduled, but nobody has shown up. 04/30/18 Tile contractor has come and told us that we needed to buy a cement and a tile trim and he could not start this job without us buying it. In our contract we were required to buy only tiles and a grout, however we have also bought cement and a tile trim. For another week after that we could not schedule any other tile installation since nobody was replying to our emails. Vice President was not taking our calls, and we could not leave any voicemails since his voicemail box was full. 05/07/18 Vice President called us and scheduled a tile installation on 05/08/18 however nobody showed up on that day. 05/09/18 - Tile contractor showed up and told us to buy more tiles even we already had more than it was written in the contract. We bought more tiles. 05/11/18 - 05/19/18 Tile contractor has installed tiles in our bathroom. 05/20/18 Plaster contractor come to fill holes in the ceiling created by electrical contractor when he installed bath fan. 05/22/18 - Scheduled plumber has not shown up. Joe, Vice President of Adarios Inc., called me and told me that we should paint our bathroom ourselves and hire movers to bring vanity into the bathroom otherwise Adarios Inc. may damage the vanity and would not be responsible for it. I told him that in our contract we have it that Adarios Inc. was supposed to paint the bathroom and that Adarios agreed to install the vanity which included moving it. 05/23/18 Carpenter came to paint bathroom and stayed in the house for 2 hours doing nothing. Very poorly. I was told it would be $89.99 to send someone out during normal business hours and they had someone nearby but that the $89.99 fee would be waived if we agreed to have them do the repairs. What she repeatedly failed to mention when I asked about the charge on the phone was that it would actually cost $293 to find out what was wrong with the furnace just to get an estimate for the repairs (not actually repair anything). Thats a deceptive bait and switch practice. There was no mention on the phone of an additional fee to get a repair quote. It wasn't mentioned until the technician was here in person and we would've already been out $89.99 for NO help with the furnace if we declined the $293 troubleshooting fee and lost an afternoon of business hours to find someone else to do the work. I don't fault the person that showed up to do the estimate, but I do fault the dishonest representation by the company and did not find the explanation by the sales manager to be suitable. Addario's called me after I filled out an Angies List form describing our furnace issue looking for my business. I would not have accepted their business if they had been upfront about the $293 charge just to get an estimate. We have used other plumbing and heating services in the past and never been met with such a surprise charges just to get an estimate of repairs. I am very dissapointed with Addario's. In the end, we ate the $290 charge and didn't get a definitive diagnosis but received 6 estimates that included some combination of replacing the blower motor, cleaning the A.C. coils ($314) and joining their "Family Club". To replace the blower motor and clean the A.C. coils would've been $1155. I found another plumbing and heating company who came off hours that evening to diagnose the problem at no charge and will replace the blower motor for $675.

The main office is very dysfunctional. I had to schedule my appointments three times and still had difficulty getting someone here.

Exactly how I hoped. The woman I initially spoke too was knowledge and friendly. She explained everything to me in simple form, allowing me to understand what was needed. Price was comparable to the other 2 quotes I received. Work was done

I am a property flipper and also handle maintanance for the properties we keep. Addario's has always been there when we needed them. Priced right and on time.

It went extremely well. I would recommend Addario's to anyone for any type of plumbing needs.

They were fast and very neat, cleaned up after each visit.. everything came out awesome.

Unresolved, Addarios no longer working issue. Manufacturer direct. Disclaimer: this is not a product installation/ service review per se but a review of their Company. We did have a defective unit. Absolutely would not recommend- Price gouging Misrepresentation of abilities and certification when asked Never, ever came on time even though we paid for a contract stating they had specific SLA Lied about availability /arrival of parts from manufacturers -said parts did not arrive and we would have to wait another day until it came but we had tracking info from the manufacturer Never provided service we contracted for regarding maintenance until technician came 3rd time, didn't have time because he was so late, still did not Price gouging was so high, the manufacturer of our system sent us the names of 3 other dealers at which time we found out that Addarios was no longer recommended by the manufacturer. Addarios didn't inform us while still charging premium pricing way over standard rates. Rude, untrustworthy owners Would give a negative star rating if I could. Do not use this company unless they are a last resort and you have deep pockets.
