+ 0 moreHorrible- They used old fixtures on all of my pipes, which allowed air pressure to come into my pipes. I had to hire a new contractor to fix all of their mistakes, costing me double. One of the techs even put a dent in my dryer. I feel they took the easy way out and did not provide quality work. I recommend to stay away from them.

+ -1 moreCharlie was AMAZING. He came to my house on a Saturday to get me out of a bind. My previous plumber that I had been working with for over 6 years bailed on me last minute. I was without any use of my kitchen. Charlie followed up with me on Friday after I spoke with him mid afternoon and agreed to come by Saturday morning. He was able to install the sink and the dishwasher in 2 hrs and was extremely nice. He knew what he was doing and was a pleasure to do business with. I will definitely be calling him again in the future!

+ 1 moreCharlie of AJ Black was on time and very meticulous in working on the clog in my kitchen sink. He snaked the line and changed a broken pipe to a PVC one and put in a new faucet.Very easy to deal with and an excellent plumber.
Description of Work: Charlie cleared a clogged pipe and changed pipes under sink and replaced faucet.

Despite seeing immediately the installers were wrong, he still doubled checked everything ... even examining the "bulges" to make sure it would it. His thoroughness gave me the confidence needed to re-confront the installing company. the first group never tried to lift the appliance, just jumped to their conclusion by observation. The second installers actually lifted the washer and put it in the pan. As the plumber said ... it fit..
Description of Work: Bgt a new Washer Dryer. Having been told by the Home Depot installers we needed a plumber to relocate the drain pipe & enlarge the safety pan, I call A J Black Inc. Thankfully the plumber agreed to come over on a Sat. After a examining the appliance & the pipe/pan, he said the installers were wrong. What we have would work. He showed me the measurement. I called the installer company, then came out again & the plumber was right. It fit right in.

The service was up to expectations, they are always on time, and they are easy to reach in Emergency. I have had a couple of emergencies over the years and they have been very good at responding.

Came the same day, right on time, finished the job in about 40 min. Everything works after that. The bill was clear and the price was fair. (I DID shop around) Over all good experience.Will use their service again.

+ -1 moreIt worked out beautifully. They did a very good job and the furnace is very high quality. The furnace was ordered through a separate company but he installed it and did all of the plumbing on it and did a fantastic job. They were very efficient and professional.
Description of Work: He's been my plumber for 5-6 years and I have used him for several different jobs, the most recent of which was they converted the plumbing in my home from oil to gas.

Description of Work: They changed a gas line from flexible to a standard rigid type of gas line. They reconfigured the gas and water lines to accommodate the installation of 2 washer machine and 2 dryers which are both gas. They also removed 2 very heavy sinks.

Description of Work: Renovated my bathroom from 50's sink, toilet, and faucets. It turned out better than I expected. There were a few problems encountered during the installation which could be expected with old pipes, but they were resolved quickly.

+ -1 moreIt was an excellent experience, especially since I had gone thru three plumbers already who had not found the problem, and would not return my calls after one visit. They also made some good suggestions for my next bathroom remodeling effort, and I will definitely use them again for next plumbing projects.
Description of Work: After three other plumbers who never 'came back', and 18 years of living with this problem, Charlie's team finally fixed my Shower pressure problem. The hot water in the shower has had extremely low pressure since we moved in 18 years ago. All other water pressure in the house was fine. Charlie came in and did an anlysis of the problem, determined what and where the problem should be, and gave me a rough estimate for work. Two days later, his team of two mean came in and within 2 hours, they located the totally 'rusted' copper pipe, and replaced it. I now have high volume hot water pressure.

He made great suggestions, made excellent notes, and was very responsive. I have a beautiful laundry room now.
Description of Work: He installed two new dryers, he installed one new washer, and he re routed and moved an existing washing machine. He did the gas fittings and re piping for the work and also did it for replacing two sinks with just one.

+ -1 moreThey were just wonderful. They set up an appointment with you within a day, they do a good job and they don't mess around. They charge a flat per hour fee and don't tack on other fees. Even if you call the office, the receptionist contacts the guys and they call you right back. I have never had to wait more than a day to hear back from them. If I had to hire a plumber again I would definitely use A.J. Black.
Description of Work: They did three jobs for me: they repaired a toilet, repaired a kitchen faucet and they also installed a garbage disposal.

WITHIN AN HOUR, HE CALLED AND WE SET A TIME FOR SOMEONE TO LOOK AT IT. THEY ARRIVED RIGHT ON TIME AND IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM AS A LEAK AT THE FLANGE. SINCE HE DIDN'T HAVE ONE IN HIS VAN, HE HAD TO GO AND GET THE PART. WITHIN 2 HOURS THE JOB WAS FINISHED. PLUMBER WAS COURTEOUS, EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS DOING, AND WAS REASONABLY NEAT, ALTHOUGH I DID NEED TO DO SOME CLEANING AFTERWARDS. FOR TWO HOURS OF LABOR AND A $40 PART THE PRICE WAS ABOUT WHAT I EXPECTED.
Description of Work: THE TOILET WAS LEAKING SLOWLY. THE FLOOR FLANGE WAS REPLACED.
