Michael Crombie the owner assured me several times that he has worked with previous customers in helping them apply through mass save for a heating loan and rebate for a more efficient heater. He was quick to rip out my old heater in September and made me wait an entire month without heat before installing the wrong heater. I had a deadline of 10/31 to have a 95% efficient heater with an ECM installed to apply for a $1000 rebate. After harassing him multiple times and him not returning phone calls he finally had his men install the heater however it did not have this ECM motor which was a requirement through mass save for their loan and rebate. Before hiring him he assured my brother and I he new what he was doing and has done this multiple times. He should have been aware of the requirements as they were put in place for many years as I did my research and contacted mass save after finding out that I was receiving neither the rebate nor the loan. When trying to contact him about this issue he avoids phone calls and says he will get back to you. Buyers beware this is a shady business man there are other more qualified plumbers in the area.

Great! Michael was very responsive and professional. We had an inspection on our house and learned that our water heater was about to fall apart, so the inspector recommended we call Crombie. They came within an hour and brought a new water heater with them. When we discovered that the closet had been built around the water heater (instead of the water heater put into the closet), they got out their tools and carefully removed all the molding around the closet so we could get the water heater out. They installed the new water heater, replaced the moldings, and cleaned up the mess. They were very friendly and pleasant to work with.
Description of Work: Replaced 80 gallon electric water heater. Required removing door and molding to get water heater out of closet.

Good until 1 year later when the hot water heater stopped working and learned the plumber never did a proper inspection to see if the tankless hot water heater would work. Now I am out 2,500 and need to replace the hot water heater. Called 6 months in and they wouldn't call me back. Just terrible.

The water n the shower was hot but the fixture is not in the same position that it had been originally. He couldn't get it back to where it was. I let it go because I did have hot water and he was taking too long. Overall it''s not done properly. He also wasn't too sure about the faucet, so I'm hoping it's OK. The worker was very nice but young and was not experienced enough for this job. He was here for 1 hour and 15 min. The job should have not taken more than 45 min.. I was charged $375.00 for this.
Description of Work: replaced a valve in my shower temp. control, already had the part. wasn't sure of how to get the hot water back and was guessing about how to go about doing the repair, which would involve a lot of extra work and parts. I made a suggestion based on something that the building maintenance man did on a previous visit, that worked. He also removed a part from my kitchen faucet so that I would have better water pressure. This I could have done myself but since he was here I asked him to do it.
