Antoniel Painting & Finish

This is the second time I have used Antionel. They do a nice job. Nice professional team who showed up on time and were responsive to my needs. The only trouble I had was in communication with their office, sometimes waiting weeks for a response. When I get through, they are very pleasant. The service is well worth the wait.

Arrived late. Teenage son and my son did most of the work. Not much got done. I have hesitated to post this rating, but upon reflection thought it might be useful to others.

I purchased an Angies List offer for 8 hours of wallpaper removal and painting services for $199 hoping to get our 1/2 bath wallpaper removed and painted. I thought it might be done in the 8 hours, however, if you read the fine print, it is 8 hours for 1 person, and 4 hours each for 2 people. Little did I know that the guy was going to bring his 17 year old son who didn't seem to know what he was doing nor did he speak English. After reading other reviews, I was not too surprised when the guy was ready to bolt after 3 hours because he had finished the wallpaper in the bathroom. I wanted to make sure that I got the full value, so I asked him to get started on the wallpaper in the bedroom for the last hour. I thought he was a professional but instead after he left, I noticed that either him (or his son) gauged out the drywall and removed only 2 strips of wallpaper in that hour. Since he was done with the wallpaper in the 1/2 bath and we really needed it to be done, and he was not even able to skim coat the wall, I paid extra money for him to come back and finish the job. I had to come back in and routinely check on it because it seemed he was actually quite careless. He finished the job, but if I look close enough in the 1/2 bath, I can definitely see some imperfections from his skimcoating and not sanding smoothly. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably try to find someone else.

Great workers! Painted most of house, removed old front porch railings, replaced posts, assembled and installed new vintage porch rail system that I supplied. They came when promised, were always pleasant and addressed any concerns brought up. Would call them again.

Excellent! Friendly, professional, prompt, great communication! You'd think they're brand new ceilings and walls now! Took advantage of the coupon deal and got 8 full hours of work for under 300 dollars! Came promptly and left the work area clean! Excellent work! Would hire again!

It went well. The only comment I want to make here is that it told him longer than I had expected.

They don't return phone calls!! They stole my money!! Do Not Use!!!

Used the special for master carpentry to do crown moulding in an upstairs hallway. 2 people came. Very nice and professional. They put up 4 or 5 boards in 5 hours. Stopped less than half way. My husband took it all down a few days later. It was not installed well. wasted a lot of expensive wood. Disappointed. They did offer to come back and finish for no extra charge but we took a pass as the craftsmanship wasn’t there and the waste from failed cutting attempts was too high.

They never showed up and I am out $89 that I paid to Angie’s List. I email about this last week and no one’s responded! I am not impressed with your service.

Wonderful job. I had done my own design. The carpenter implemented my design with two exceptions, where he had better ideas. From my point of view, that is a perfect performance - polite, efficient, doing it my way, telling me when there was a better way. The amount of work accomplished in six hours was impressive! The low price is because I took advantage of an Angie's List special offer.

In the case of both jobs, we couldn't be happier with the results. We regularly get compliments on our hallway, how elegant it looks. And when people come into our kitchen, they really notice a difference because of the woodwork details Antonio added. In the kitchen, they copied the style of the already existent IKEA cabinets exactly. It all looks like it was installed together, and it looks really polished. Antonio and his team are experts. And they are patient. I am very picky and they listened to me and understood what I was asking for before they began the work. And as they worked, if I had questions, or wanted to tweak the design a bit, we talked it through and they made adjustments, and also recommendations. Antonio's customer service is first rate. I called in mid-December and said that ideally I'd like to have the work in the kitchen done before New Years so it would look beautiful for our New Years Day party. Carla, his wife, who does his scheduling, made that happen. Again, this is a VERY customer service oriented company. Throughout both jobs, Antonio was responsive, reliable, and invested in giving me the results I was looking for. I give him and his team my highest recommendation.

It was very easy to set up the appointment - I had to wait a few weeks to get on the schedule, but it was worth it! Antonio came and looked at the job, and then the carpenter, Raiden, completed the work. He did an amazing job! Both new wood doors are expertly hung with new hardware I provided. In addition, another door that did not close properly is now working perfectly. Finally, he sanded risers on a set of stairs - I had patched them but I didn't have the tools or elbow grease to finish the job. Now I can finally paint! Antonio also gave me a price to paint my house and I'm looking forward to getting the old paint scraped and updating the color in the spring.

He accomplished all the tasks I needed done in the 4 hours. Everything looked great and they cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely hire him again.

The painter was professional, friendly and did great work!

The owner, Antonio, arrived exactly when he said he would, however he forgot to bring the necessary tools to complete the job, specifically a saw. That being said, he forged on. 4 hours later, just one of the pieces of crown molding was lightly tacked to the wall. It seemed that he did not have the skillset to install crown molding, which is the only reason I hired them. I called the office to explain my concern, and the receptionist told me that I had the owner at my house, and he has installed thousands of jobs of crown molding. After 4 hours of struggling with one piece of the trim, he left, but told me that he would come back. I have since hired another carpenter and he installed the trim for $200, in 4 hours. I have tried a few times to get a credit for what I paid, but I have not heard back from the company.

They did an outstanding job, the service was excellent and they delivered on everything they promised to do.

They did a great job. Punctual and cleaned up after themselves.

He arrived on time and did as much as could be done before the temperature got too cold and it got dark. November is not the best time of year to do outdoor painting, but he completed the work and cleaned up afterwards. No complaints!

We had to reschedule the first time because, according to office, Antoniel had trouble with his truck that morning. Second time, Antoniel arrived right around 9AM as I was told. And his crew member arrived shortly after. It is his crew who actually does the job. In 8 hours (minus lunch break), he replaced 4 pieces of sidings, which are located high up roof and need access via tall ladder, 1 piece of trim under roof line, 2 pieces of deck wood, and 2 trim around doors. The man is very courteous and communicated well. He missed an rotten area right below where he made the cut on a siding. He admitted and apologized profoundly. I did not make him redo the work because not enough material left and that will take extra time. In general, I think his skill is good enough to handle most external wood works.

They allowed the proper time between steps to ensure a good result. It all came out beautifully. Have already hired them again for the exterior!

Antoniel did an excellent job painting the exterior of my home. He also skim coated the cracked ceiling in my house and painted it. Both came out great.

Initially, took a few times to get a hold of them: but after that: 1) Showed up when they said they were going to show up: date/time, 2) Very professional/nice/respectful, 3) Knowledgeable, 4) Did exactly what I asked (in terms of what I needed done), 5) Door/Handrails/Trim all turned out great (Haiden/Raiden did the custom cuts for the trim - excellent job), and 6) Cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't have asked for a better job! Thank you!
