We decided to go with her after watching how well she represented a neighbor. As a Sellers agent, she did a phenomenal job to help prepare and stage our home and overall, marketed it extremely well. She spent a lot of time with this process and we felt that Katherine went far above and beyond what the majority of agents would normally do for an average priced home in our town. This was certainly a factor in the foot traffic at our open houses and ultimately, helped us get an excellent sale price.

On the buyers side, Katherine's aggressive and somewhat unique approach to presenting our offer is probably was what helped us beat out several other competitive offers. Overall, her communication skills are top notch and it seemed as if she was available to us 24/7 from the moment we first met until beyond the closing of both transactions. She was a good buyers agent for us but an exceptional sellers agent-well worth the commission.

During the time we spent with Katherine looking for our current home, we were consistently amazed by Katherine’s command of the real estate industry; her stamina and patience; and most of all her sense of humor. There were also several things about working with Katherine that made all the difference to us: right from the start she wanted to understand our needs; she made the home-buying and loan processes completely transparent to us, educating at every step; and she looked at every “not this one” as an opportunity to learn more about what would work for us eventually. Further, she wanted us to be happy (it was never about getting the sale), and even though she was our buyer’s agent, she wanted all parties to be happy with the transaction and to know as much about each other as possible. When we finally made our offer, she requested that we write a letter to the seller, explaining why we wanted to live in their home. There’s nothing like putting things down on paper to clear your thoughts! When the inevitable complications came up, I was able to think about how I felt when I wrote that letter, and the reasons we wanted to buy our home in the first place, and it helped keep things in perspective. Today we are delighted to live in Arlington Heights and still rely on Katherine – and her vast network of contacts -- for advice on all things home ownership. Katherine was fantastic! It was an emotional move for us because we loved where we lived but felt we needed to find a community with better schools for our two young children. Not only was Katherine sensitive to our emotions but she also understood the ups and downs of the process.
