Go Green Waste Services

We've been using GoGreen for almost four years at approx. $525/year, and are on the verge of cancelling our contract with them. Like one of the other reviewers here, our experience was generally positive for the first few months, when the business was new, but since then its rapidly gone downhill. The main issue is that they either don't show up on their scheduled day, or they don't show up at all. We've had several times where there hasn't been a pickup at all, and our garbage sits out for weeks at a time. Its anyone's guess as to what day they will decide to show up. One time it was out so long that when I finally resolved to dispose of it myself I found a colony of maggots in the can. Nice. Its also basically a one-man show, so calling or emailing is pretty much a joke as they will never, ever get back to you. The other issue we ran into, though it seems resolved for now, is billing. Its a weekly fee, so we do monthly auto payments from our online banking system. However, we had two incidents where they sent us a HUGE backlog of invoices in the mail saying we hadn't paid, when our bank showed otherwise. I tried to contact them by phone and email to explain about the automated payments for the last year, and to make sure they were receiving the checks. I got no response. They also stopped collecting the recylcables and garbage in two trucks, as they had initially done, and instead collect everything in the same truck. Are they actually recycling stuff? Are there two separate spots in the truck? Who knows? It doesn't really look like it. I'm guessing everything is going in the garbage. The thing is, Anthony is a really nice guy who lives locally, and we very much want to support a local business, but I suspect with the increase in business they're just in over their head at this point. The other reviewer mentioned that they have a lot of other commercial contracts which take priority over the smaller residential ones like ours, and I get that. If that's the case then they probably shouldn't offer a residential service. Unfortunately because we live in a town with no municipal pickup and we only own a small sedan for transporting garbage, our options are limited. But at this point we're ready to start either smelling up our car or finding a more reliable service. Sorry GoGreen, I want to like you, really I do. But you've got to get your act together.

I received services from Go Green for a little over 1 year. Initially, they were pretty responsive and hauled away my trash and recyclables in a timely manner. A few months into the service, however, things began to change. We needed a bulk trash pickup once and I placed several calls over a 2-3 week period trying to get Go Green to come out and haul my stuff away. Each time I called, I got their voicemail and would not receive a call back. After a few weeks of my bulk items sitting out on the curb, Anthony of Go Green finally got back to me. He charged me an exhorbitant fee to come and pick the items up and wasn't apologetic about leaving me hanging for weeks. Fast forward to a few months ago and I start noticing that the trucks are arriving very late at night to haul my trash and recycling away. I'm talking 9pm on the trash collection day. Also, Go Green was no longer collecting my trash and recycling with different trucks. Instead, they were combining everything into one truck. Unfortunately, the situation continued to worsen. Our trash/recycling was now sitting out on the curb for 2+ days before Go Green would show up to haul it away. These last few weeks, they never showed to pick any of it up. I called and left messages to no avail. I received no response. My collection day was Thursday and, just this past Saturday, I had to hire a completely different company to come out and haul away 2 weeks' worth of our trash and recyclables. Several residents in my area have been having the same problems with Go Green. One of the residents finally managed to speak to Anthony in person and was told that Go Green had far too many large commercial contracts to care about a small $50/month residential contract. That resident also had to hire a different company to come out and haul away the trash/recyclables that Go Green never picked up. Go Green is, by far, the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their blatant disregard for their customers' satisfaction will be their ultimate downfall. I would not recommend Go Green to anyone I know and would most definitely never work with them again.

They were about 40 minutes late but when I called the owner he sent over another one of his workers to get things organized before the truck arrived. They are very fast and even swept out the garage when they were done. This is an excellent company. We will definitely use them again.

Anthony arrived at my house in Somerville promptly with the waste truck and quickly assessed the weight of material to be removed. Single-handedly, without the help of his crew, he soon had every last scrap of material picked up and dumped into the garbage truck, where he compacted it until it was gone--about 1 1/2 tons of ordinary household junk, demolished building materials from the basement, etc. Service was fast, friendly, honest, and inexpensive. In fact, he had given me the lowest quote by phone hours earlier. It was a relief to get the whole cleanup done in one day. I cannot imagine calling anyone else from now on! He easily earned my highest recommendation.

We use them on a regular basis, and they come out weekly. They provide us with barrels to dump garbage.
