Over charged my father for a backwater valve repair gave him an invoice with no specific breakdown on the job that was done. Had to request for a breakdown invoice Charged him $4k for a 4 hour job that was not done properly as the basement re flooded again. Gave me a run around for 3 weeks to get a breakdown on the invoice. As you can see from the screenshot.poor work Watch out for these guys. They don’t get the job done and they overcharge. We had to also pay for their the permits they were suppose to already have. And also pay for the rental truck and fuel! Second image is from the basement re flooded again after work was done

i was visiting my wife in boston and noticed she had a small leak under bathroom cabinet when i looked it was a plastic fitting on the drain line leaking i had no tools and was leaving the next day and didnt want to leave her with the problem i called super service and they were here the next day quoted me a price of 721.00 dollars i agreed not thinking they fixed the problem in 40 minutes after checking around it was less then 30 dollars in parts problem solved but i was ripped off could of done it myself with a hack saw and plumbers glue any handy man could of done it for around 100 dollars because no water shut offs had to be touch just a simple drain they are way over priced also asked how much to clean tub drain said 450 dollars wife fixed problem with coat hanger i wouldnt recommend them shop around there rip offs

We had a toilet that was running and requested service. C.J. called in advance to let me know he was on his way and arrived right on time. He noticed that in addition to the toilet running, it also had a small leak. It was very apparent once he pointed it out. He gave me two options with pricing. He did a GREAT job and we are very pleased with the results! While he was there, I asked him about my radiators. He examined all three and found that one had a problem that would prevent us from adjusting the temperature. I thought, we'd have to schedule another appointment but we got lucky that he had time to do that repair as well! We were very pleased with the service we received from C.J. and his patience explaining everything to us.

We called early afternoon to see if someone could come out to evaluate our water heater which water temperature was hot & cold over the weekend, someone was at the house in an hour, Tom Ripley was excellent had the problem solved and a new water heater installed within a few hours. Tom was pleasant and did everything he promised to do. Nice hot shower to look forward to.

Not so good...During the heavy rains in January our basement was flooded. This has never happen before. Apparently, the Sub Pump failed. SUPER SERVICE responded to my call and quoted the job $15800.00, almost 3 times higher than what other vendors quoted. I asked for a detailed break down and was denied. I then asked for a Supervisor to come and inspect the job. Upon arrival, the supervisor questioned the repair and installation. He informed that it was done wrong and still did not share a breakdown. When questioned about how it should have been installed and what it would take to repair their job, he said another $7000.00. I contacted another vendors to compare price for the repair and each came in at $3,500. SUPER SERVICE is not to be trusted. I was fooled. Stay away from them.

Long story short, we were charged $1,122.50 for a less than an hour work on a leaking pipe. There's an emergency dispatch fee of $150, which I wouldn't complain about. The work involved 'Cut in two emergency Ball Valves' in our basement.

I had a call because I've been having problems with my sink and plumbing that the Housing Authority is not skilled to perform. The representative was beyond fantastic and I recommend this company.

This review is hard because I have previously used this business several times over the past few months. However, I’m so profoundly disappointed in the service I received from Super Service Today last week that I feel compelled to share my experience. Two months ago, I told Super Service Today about a basement leak in the utility room. They charged me $180 diagnostic fee but couldn’t identify the source of the leak. I was assured that things looked as if they were in working order (i.e., water heater, piping, and boiler) and that I would get consideration for the $180 diagnostic fee I paid (without getting a diagnosis) if the leak were to recur. Well, the leak recurred in the basement utility room 2 months later. The "consideration" that I was promised went out of the window once they got their initial payment, and I was charged an additional $5000 for the replacement of a new water heater. To make matters worse, their plumber failed to ensure that the tenant’s hot water and heat were functioning after the water heater installation. The tenant understandably complained, so I reported this to Super Service Today. They inform me that their plumber never switched the valves back on, so they sent the same plumber the next day. Since the door was locked and I out of town, I had to pay $200 for a locksmith to unlock the basement. Super Service Today refused to pay for locksmith despite the fact that the need for the locksmith was a direct result of their mistake: leaving the valves off. After the plumbers comes, he then says that there must be an electrical problem with the relay box because the heat and hot water still won’t turn on. Despite the implausibility that the electrical wiring and/or relay box that were perfectly functioning with the bad water heater would suddenly malfunction with the installation of a new water heater, we have an electrician come over the next day for another $450. The electrician tells us the obvious: there is no electrical problem and all the systems are receiving the appropriate signals, that the boiler is hot, and that the issue is clearly plumbing. Additionally, the senior electrician (who has 20 years of HVAC experience) says that the proximate cause is that the plumber introduced an air bubble into the system during the installation of the water heater. I verbally share the summary of the electrical diagnostic information with Super Service Today at 11:43 am Eastern time on Friday, and finally after a second call, the plumber calls me back at 3pm who says he will share it with the office. I don’t get a call back (this is now the 3rd day for my tenant without heat or hot water), so I call back in 1.5 hours, later only to be told that addressing an air bubble in the boiler is out of scope despite the fact that it was introduced during their $5000 water heater installation. Furthermore, because it is now at the end of the day, they would have to charge me an emergency fee of >$150 (for nights/weekends) + $180/hour to diagnose their own incompetence. I passed, put my tenants in a hotel, and hired a trusted plumber who solved the multiple problems in a couple hours. Yes, that’s right, in addition to introducing an air bubble into my previously functioning system, my plumber documented that they erred in the installation of the water heater. It’s no wonder why there was no heat or hot water. I can deal with infrequent mistakes, as everyone is human. I can't suffer people who make mistakes and don't own them, blame other people (like the electrician), and want to charge you exorbitant amounts to fix their own blunders. That's unacceptable They were paid to leave everything in good and working order. Instead, they left me in a lurch, with large out of pocket costs, and very unhappy.

Working with Super Service Today was a breeeeeze. Super knowledgeable, super nice, super on time, just all around super....very fitting name. We had a weird issue with our drain in our apartment and they were able to come out, diagnose the issue, and get it resolved quickly AND affordably. Would definitely hire again and recommend to friends! Also! This company supports its local Community. They contributed a generous amount to Education Through Music - MA to support their work rebuilding music programs for under-resourced schools that don't have them in in the City of Boston. I am super grateful for the work they do and their support of important causes in the Boston community.

I had a scheduled appointment on Monday between 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. They called me to cancel that appointment. Set up another appointment for Tuesday between 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. I get a call that someone would arrive at 1:20 PM. It is now 2:20 PM and no one is here. I called them and they told me that the plumber could not make it today he is stuck at another job. I set up another appointment for Thursday between 7:00AM to 9:00 AM. I thought more about it and just canceled. I found another plumber and they were great. I would not use this company. Terrible service.

Super Service Today didn’t respond in a timely manner, over-quoted us by a thousand dollars, mis-diagnosed our problem in a way that could have proven catastrophic (if we hadn’t gotten a second opinion), and then tried to withhold the return of our deposit to try to get us to sign an “agreement” that we wouldn’t post a bad review. The order of events: 1. Response in a timely manner: Our toilet and two sinks overflowed, with water cascading down from that bathroom to the basement below. We went with Super Service Today because they were the first phone call to an emergency plumber to get through, and had reasonably good reviews online. The overflow stopped on its own, and the company said it wasn’t that much of an emergency, so they’d stop by between 8 and 10 the next morning. At 10am, I called them, as no one had shown up. They apologized and said someone would definitely be there by noon. At noon, I called them again, and told them we were going with another plumbing company. They said they’d sub-contract someone else, in order to keep control of the situation. The company they sent found the blockage, snaked the pipe, and hit a blockage in the sewer leading to the street; they couldn’t investigate further, because they were only sub-contracted. 2. Over-quote and mis-diagnosis: Super Service Today sent one of their plumbers to take a video of the sewer line. This person hit the same blockage and diagnosed the problem as tree roots, then laid out escalating packages to fix it. The lowest level (and what this plumber recommended wholeheartedly) was hydro-jet, a high-powered water burst that can clear tree roots; this was quoted at $1600. The next level was replacement of that segment ($5000 or so) or replacement of the whole sewer ($25000 or so). He said the problem as urgent, and urged us to pick the jet. I hesitantly agreed and paid the deposit. Later that day, I got uncertain and curious and looked up what other companies charged for hydro-jet, and found it was between $300 and $500. At this point, we cancelled our hydro-jet service with Super Service Today and searched for another company. The company we chose took a new video of the line and showed us the truth: there was a mis-join in the line, rather than tree roots, so the two segments were partially offset from each other. They told us that if we’d chosen the (overpriced) hydro-jet, we’d have likely created an enormous sinkhole and done catastrophic damage to our sewer system. We went with them for the repair of that sewer segment, which went smoothly. 3. Withholding our deposit and the agreement: We wanted to conclude business with Super Service Today and get our deposit back. Super Service Today sent us a legal document to sign in order to get our deposit; it stated that we would be prohibited from posting a negative review. I consulted a lawyer friend who confirmed that we needed no “agreement” to get our deposit back, and that this was fraudulent. They tried to force the issue one more time and only relented when we said we’d submitted a challenge claim to our credit card company for the charge. Then, they were very apologetic on the phone as they returned our deposit, as well as an extra $100 refund for our trouble.

I spoke to the service rep and was informed that a friday afternoon visit would entail a $150 emergency charge. I then asked about the cost and was told whatever the service tech did then I would be charged. OK. Service tech came and tightened fitting in 10 minutes and leak stopped. Great. Got a bill for $330. I called and asked and was told there is a 1hr min charge of $180. I informed them that I asked about charges and was not informed about the minimum. The response is we did not know at the time what the min charge would be, only after we do the job. What ????? I think charging $180 for a 10 minute job is excessive ON TOP of the $150 after hrs fee.

Deceptive business practices. Dishonest. I had an irrigation pump that had some leaking fittings. The first thing they did was try to sell me on a $3000 replacement for the entire pump. They eventually gave me a pries of something like $600, which is exhorbitant in my opinion, to fix the unit. We get to the end of it, and guess what? They'd only quoted half the job. The technician somehow failed to spot one of the two fittings that was leaking and then, at the end of the job, told me that the quote only covered one of the fittings. I looked at the work order, and sure enough, it said "Fitting" not "Fittings." I consider this to be dishonest and deceptiive because the leaks from both fittings were obvious and he gave me some BS story about the system not being pressurized. Furthermore, so far beyond a reasonable charge that you can't even see 'ridiculous' from where I sit. I threw him out of my house.

Service was provided on time and technician left the place very clean. The price was very high, though and I am still waiting to receive the warranty paperwork. If you need emergency service, they are very good; but be prepared to pay the premium.

Outstanding. We were in an emergency situation, unable to use house water and toilets and Super Service Today certainly lived up to their name. After we contacted them they arrived at 7am the very next morning. Professional, efficient, effective -- they performed a great job. Had never had a problem like this before and we were really concerned. Thank goodness we had their expertise taking care of our problem. Cannot say enough good things about the Super Service they provided.

By far the best customer service I have received. Travis was timely, reliable and did a great job. He is a true asset to the Company. He went above and beyond to help and ensure that our plumbing issue was resolved and that there were no downstream issues (mold). He arrived same day and was able to identify and resolve an issue that 2 other plumbers were unable to fix. Overall, would never think about using another company. 10 out of 10!

Rob went above and beyond to respond to an emergency just before Christmas! When our oven was broken he came out to quickly help us get it swapped out! Our service window was 9AM-11AM and he showed up at 9:02! Super friendly, personable, and was able to work quickly. I would recommend his service to anyone who has any form of home trouble, and I will be sure to request him again if we have any other future issues. This services couldn't have gone better, and he has made us customers for life.

Technician arrived, charged us $58.00 just to come. Spent and hour in his truck writing up a bid. Wanted to charge us $2,300 to change a valve in the bathroom shower head. We could have replaced all our plumbing for that amount. Complete scam. Not sure if he thought we were idiots and going to fall for that? I would not recommend anyone calling this company. We will never call them again.
