Description of Work: My tenants supervised so I don't really have any idea but there were no complaints.

Description of Work: Checked outlets. Checked gfi. Fixed loss of power.

Description of Work: Switch out hanging chandelier for fixed light. Replace non working dimmer with new sliding dimmer. Replace the electrical box behind the dryer which was not attached to the wall, not grounded, and a big fire hazard. Removed and re installed 2 outlets that were loose in the wall. He noticed they had not been grounded and hooked them up correctly. I can now use them again.

Description of Work: Found Joe on Angie’s List. Had a kitchen outlet that had stopped working. Called him and explained the situation, he explained that he had a flight out that afternoon but since I was close to his location and came buy and determined that the outlet had stopped working. He replaced the outlet. While Joe was hear I had two other electric issues. The first being when I installed a ceiling fan in the dining room I had tied one of the wire in wrong, I wasn’t able to use the light switch on the wall. He set up a schedule time to come back and diagnose the issue. The second issue was that my bathroom exhaust fan was pulling air out. He look at this and said that I had two option. The first being to replace the whole unit or to save some money was to replace only the motor. Between Joe and myself we attempted to locate the motor with no luck. Joe was able to find that same brand and model number. I pick-up the unit and attempted to change out the old motor with the new one. Just was not the same type motor. When Joe came out to correct and install a new light switch on the ceiling fan I explained what was different on the two motors. I need to have the exhaust fan replaced. So I had schedule Joe to come back and replace the fan. It was nice to see someone that was willing to same someone money buy trying to do the job at a lesser cost

Description of Work: Joe ran a cable from outside the house to provide cable connections to 2 second level bedrooms plus added an electrical outlet for one bedroom and mounted a TV for that bedroom.

Description of Work: Upgraded wiring in bathroom and fuse box to accommodate heater and fan/vent. Checked all other wiring on bathroom circuits.

Description of Work: Found Joe through another site, great reviews. Fit the bill as a local electrician, I try to give my business to locals. No reviews yet on Angie's, I'm happy to be the 1st. Emailed Joe through A.L. On Sunday afternoon, said no rush. He called me within 2 hours. Problem resulted from me installing a proximity switch myself (I'm reasonably competent with electrical). Blew the circuit, no apparent breaker tripped. Knew it was beyond my skillset, needed a pro. To Joe's credit, he didn't sigh and roll his eyes because an amateur took on a small electrical repair and couldn't handle it. Reassured me sincerely that he often does other small Trades work himself to save a few bucks. Joe came the next morning and got the lights back on with a temporary fix. He let us know that the existing breaker box was overloaded with breakers exceeding its' rating. Whoever did the work for the previous owner had also doubled up wires on circuits (non-compliant and a major safety concern). While assuring us the short-term fix was safe, he told us that we'd need a whole new box & breakers. Got me a very reasonable price within a day, and scheduled the major job within a week. At my request, he even rescheduled another customer so that my wife and I wouldn't need to miss a day of work. On the day the work was scheduled, the breaker box delivery to Joe had been delayed. Rather than reschedule, he sent his assistant 15 miles to pick up the box while he started the work. In summary, I feel very fortunate to have chosen such a responsive, congenial, and reasonable electrician. He will be our electrician of choice going forward, I'm happy to recommend him.
