He was fantastic! I called just as he was finishing lunch, and he was at my place within 30 minutes. He and his partner waded through what was left of the water still in my basement, and went to repair my existing heater. After examining it, he told me that for the age of the heater, the better value was to replace it (since the repair costs would be comparable). They picked up the new heater, installed it, placed it up on additional bricks to help prevent this from happening again, and removed the old heater in about 3 hours time beginning to end.

Fernando was punctual, pleasant, worked hard at the obviously difficult job and seemed very professional. I was happy with his work and would hire him again.

On time for the estimate. He was not my first choice because I wanted to switch to gas from oil and have the gas furnace installed and he would only do the gas piping. But he found someone who installed the furnace. On time and finished early for piping. Worked with gas company to get the contractor to install the furnace. That person also was on time. Though he did half and the furnace contractor did the other half, the total price was the least of the 3 estimates I obtained. Altogether a very satisfying experience. Would use him again if I needed the same.

I discovered a leak from under my kitchen sink/dishwasher area through the floor into my basement. I called Mr. Gonzalez Thursday, 11/12/09. He answered the phone! He promised to visit me the next morning, arrived when he said he would, was cheerful, efficient and effective. Though it required a bit of detective work to figure out where my leak was coming from, he made a basic repair and the problem was solved. He then made recommendations on updating my heating system and put me in immediate contact with someone he works with to accomplish that.

Called for a leaky toilet. Sight unseen he said it would cost $800 as the whole toilet would need to be replaced. I politely declined. In the next week I got 5 junk mailings from plumbers. He'd obviously sold my name. I'd used him before with excellent results. Clearly I was disappointed that he didn't just decline the job. Instead, he checked if I'd bite on $800. I ended up replacing the flow valve myself for $30.

Fernando was extremely professional, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with. We would not hesitate using him again and we highly recommend his services.

Excellent experience. Responsive and came quickly. He actually did the work at night (around 7pm) after his other jobs to help us out because we did not have hot water. Highly recommend.

I had water damage in first floor bathroom ceiling and wall. Fernando was clear and honest with me about the need to open that ceiling to find the source of the leak. He returned my phone calls, arrived on time, and was right on the money about where the leak was - in the ceiling right where he first looked. He explained what he found and how he would fix it, did a neat job, and cleaned up all the mess as well.

This guy could very well be the 'best plumber in the world'. Came when he said he would, did what he said he would do, charged what he said it would cost. Punctual. Excellent workmanship. He was the third local plumber I tried to get to do this job and I'm glad the others did not show up. On top of all that - he is a perfect gentleman. I'd leave the house keys for him.

We call Gonzalez plumbing to get info on a tankless water heater and Fernando was well educated and experienced in what was required. He was able to explain to me the features and benefits and what was needed for the installation. He even came out and gave us a free estimate. In the end we went with a standard water heater and when Fernando realized our old water heater was about to go he came out the next day to install a new water heater. He was prompt and the work was done as promised for the exact amount of the estimate. You always hear how plumbers will rip you off but Fernando was so genuine that after speaking to him for a short time I really trusted him and his opinions. I would not hesitate using him again and I highly recommend his services.

Fernando took the time to review the basement plumbing situation and assess some work that will need to be done - nothing urgent but he gave us an estimate and I will have him back when we do the work.

Fernando is great from start to finish. He returns calls promptly, gives good, clear information about the hot water heaters he installs, and he did a good, thorough job of installing the new hot water heater as well as running additional pipes to the new location and venting the heater.

Called Fernando Gonzalez as an emergency. He was very prompt in answering the phone and came over to look at the problem. He suggested ways to re-route the baseboard piping so that this would not happen again. According to him, the pipes should have never been encased in concrete below the floor because, over time, concrete corrodes the copper pipes. He scheduled the job and came over in a couple of weeks, at our convenience. He showed up on time with one helper and promptly began work. They worked very efficiently, finished on time, and cleaned up after themselves. He advised us of what he was doing and asked our preferences if needed. For example, when he unexpectedly hit concrete instead of sheet rock in rerouting a section of the pipe, he told us right away that he would have to cut a bigger hole than expected. Because of this, there was no surprises when he finished. The work looked very good and professional.

Fernando helped us a lot with our research and decision making. He suggested that we get a Rinnai on-demand tankless system since he was trained in installing it & never had a reported problem. He said that, on the average, he installed 3 of these systems a month. He convinced us to get a mid-capacity instead of a large-capacity (and more expensive) model to fit our needs. We received an estimate in a timely manner, and he was very responsive in answering our many questions. We scheduled the installation two weeks out (to accommodate our vacation). On installation day, he showed up on time with two helpers and began work right away. The installation went very smoothly--These guys knew what they were doing. They started at 7:30AM and finished by 2PM. They did a great job cleaning up and the left no trash behind. He emailed me a receipt that I can use to get 1/3 of the cost back in the form of tax credit, in addition to $300 in National Grid energy efficiency rebate.

I liked the way Fernando explained everything in detail, in simple language, so that I knew exactly what was going on at all times.

It went just fine. The leak was identified and fixed. The shower valve was replaced. These guys are super polite and professional!

When I called him, I left a message and he called me right back. I told him my problem and he said he could be there within 24 hours. He showed up on time and took care of everything. I was impressed with his work style and he cleaned up after the job was done.

Even though we had to reschedule due to customer conflict and another emergency plumber's job, Fernando always returned calls promptly. He arrived exactly on schedule, and worked quickly yet efficiently. He seemed very personable; didn't mind my watching him work or asking questions. In addition, he gave me a very interesting history lesson on the development of indoor plumbing dating back to biblical times.

Originally called to re-seat toilet which inspecter found loose. On removing toilet, discovered rotted floor in bathroom. This was expected. He recommended competent carpenter to fix subfloor. He returned 2 weeks later to install toilet on repaired floor on a Saturday before I moved in. Found the soil pipe loose.Needed additional supplies not available on Saturday, so returned Monday and finished job. Repaired leaking gas line, checked all gas lines for leaks, checked water lines for leaks, found one in kitchen aucet plumbing which was previously done by hand by owner, not well. Installed new stove and dryer. Overall he was quite pleasant, explained and showed me all the issues, showed up on time, did what was expected and more. He was here a total of 4 times and was very thorough and professional. He returned one more time to install a to-code exhaust pipe for the new dryer without charge. Very happy with his services, and would recommend and used him again.

We used Fernando two months ago for a big job: re-water piping the basement for better water flow and installing a new hot water heater. He also redid the shower valve and redid the drain in the bathroom. We were very happy and of course wanted to use Fernando again. He answers his e-mail and cell promptly. For today's dishwasher and disposal install, he was ready to come over as soon as the electrician and carpenter has finished their work. He's always very cheerful. Fernando will give as much or as little information as I would like. For instance, my husband has lived through the trauma of a dishwasher flooding the kitchen and living room floors. Fernando told me why that wasn't going to happen with this install, because of the parts he was using and of course his experience and knowledge.

The tail fitting on our laundry tub was very old and had rotted out. We originally had planned to just get the fitting replaced, but since the tub was old and messy and we'd been planning to replace the faucets at some point, we decided to replace everything. We called Mr Gonzalez because of his rating on Angie's List and his location in our town. He responded quickly and said he'd come to look at the problem when he finished the job he was working on that day. If it were a quick job, he would have done it that day; but since we needed to get the sink he needed to come the next day. After checking with the customer he already had scheduled for the following day, he called us with a time. He arrived promptly and did excellent work. He was personable and friendly. We didn't ask for an estimate because we just wanted this done, but I felt the charges were reasonable, especially for such prompt service!

This guy is the consummate pro. Arrived on time. He was organized and actually talked to himself while planning out the job: "This widget should go here...no wait a thingamagigit would work better in this application." He then spent 20 minutes testing the work for leaks, etc.

We have a very difficult setup, so it took a lot of patience to figure out our problem. Fernando was very good to work with
