DPM Fence & Home Improvement

Dave installed a short wooden fence for me a few years ago. He gave me a 7 year warranty. About 4-5 years later, several posts became loose, including a gate post, which he installed without concrete. I later learned that it is an industry standard to use concrete at the base of gate posts to handle the added stress. I called, emailed, and texted Dave many, many times and got no response. Buyer beware!

We contacted the company, confirmed an appointment time. They never showed up and did not respond to either email or phone calls since.

I called Dave on a Friday. We scheduled a time to meet on Monday to look at the work to be done. He showed up on time. We discussed the work done and Dave understood exactly what I was looking for. He did not try and nickel and dime me or up sell me for items I need nor want. Later that day Dave emailed me a detailed quote with a plot drawing and type of materials he was going to use. The work started the following Monday and completed my Wednesday. Dave and his crew did exceptional work.

When the fence was installed, we left a gap to accommodate a large tree on the property line. The tree was later taken down which left the gap in the fence I contacted DPM and asked them to install the remaining fence. They told me they came down and measured the space and ordered the fence. They never came back and never filled in the gap. I called a few times and was told they were coming. Never came.

Top Notch from start to finish. This is our 2nd time using Dave as he installed the fencing at our first home as well. Our new development loved his work ( and price) that 4 of the 5 other homes used him as well. His crew is great, all hard workers and very communicative to ensure the work is done correctly and to your liking. I can't say enough good things about Dave and his crew. HIRE THEM!

DPM was very professional, and did an excellent job of repairing damage to our fence from a winter storm.

I called Dave one afternoon in May, and he not only answered the phone, but was willing to come out the next day to give me an estimate. He had some great ideas about the plan of the fence, his estimate was approximately $1000 less than his competitors. Shortly after he sent his estimate, we decided we wanted to change one piece of the plan, and he very quickly and graciously changed the estimate within a day. There was a little breakdown in communication about when the fence would actually be installed (it ended up being about a week after we thought it would), but I think this was largely due to a delay on the manufacturers part, and because of uncooperative weather. His two workers, who were very professional, had the fence completed in a little over three days, and there were no issues. My fence is now the envy of the neighborhood, and I often receive compliments on it.

Disappointing experience, started well with professional on time arrival but quickly deteriorated. If it wasn't his busy time the grade would be D instead of C. Started by saying I'd have the quote in 2 days, took almost a week, also told me the project would take 2 days and he could start in 2 weeks, but when I asked him to commit to completion in 3.5 weeks he refused to answer the question for ~4 days and ultimately refused to commit passing on the job. Never returns calls, seldom returns texts and when he does it's days later. Frustrating experience.

Dave did a great job. He arrived on time, was very professional and workmanlike. He worked quickly and, as noted above, did a great job. I'm very satisfied with the work done and feel I definitely got my money's worth.

The day after I called they came out and quoted. The price to steady up the existing fence was very fair. The work is completed and I am very happy with the service.

A tree fell across my chain link fence on Halloween, 2010. My older dogs never noticed, so I didn't repair it. After a year, I adopted a younger, more spry lab mix. We had a lot of snow that winter - the dog realized she could use the drifts as a springboard to vault the fence. Pretty soon she made paths to the road and to the house behind me. I got calls from neighbors I'd never met that Maggie was 'visiting.and quot; Happily, no one minded. I live on a busy street and was worried that Maggie might be hit or cause an accident. I contacted 2 fence repair companies - the first gave an outrageous quote - after the work had been done by DPM. I worked with DPM to chose a date for the estimate. Within 4 days of the initial email, the work was done! Maggie still looks at the fence wistfully and remembers her winter tour of the neighborhood! DPM was great - quick, reasonable, and thorough. The first task was to disassemble the and quot;Rube Goldbergand quot; repair I tried. I would not hesitate to contact DPM for fence repair in the future.

I got the referral off of Angie's List and I could not be happier with the results. I contacted DPM and Dave came out that same day to give me an estimate. His price was very fair so we went with him and scheduled the work for the following week. His team was very professional and diligent. I got them off of Angie’s List. The fence looks very pretty. Their price was good and I liked the fact that they came out right away and gave me an estimate when I contacted them. The guy came up with suggestions on the type of fencing and that type of things. His suggestions were very good. They were restrictions because I had to have certain height in the front, but in the back I didn’t want something like that. He did a good job. He cleaned up after himself. The fence looks a lot better. I’m pretty happy with it. I would recommend him and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again. At the time the fence was installed, we had to leave a gap to leave room for a large tree on the property line. The tree has now been removed. I called D.P.M. several times to fill in the missing part of the fence. I was told they would do it, they came out and measured the gap, they ordered the part. Then they never showed up or called again. My neighbor wanted to use them to erect a fence around her yard but decided not to use them because of my broken promises. I also had a woman stop by my house to get the name of the people who put up the fence. This was at the time I was trying to get the gap fixed. I took her name and number and told her they were coming by during the week. Since they never showed up, I did not pass the information on.

A tree fell in my yard and hit the fence - bent back about 10' section. The tree was removed before researching the fence repair. I contacted DBM through Angie's List the week before - the estimate was completed later that day. The work was scheduled for the next week and was completed in one day. The price paid was the price quoted. I am very happy with the job and would not hesitate to recommend DBM. I will contact DBM first when I am contemplating other home improvement projects.

It went terrific. The quality of the work and the materials used really exceeded my expectations. The gates swing shut beautifully and the locks on the gates work perfect which is important to us since we have a pool and many young kids in the neighborhood. The workers showed up right when they said they would and finished everything quickly. We had decided to only replace part of the old fence to save money, and they were very flexible working with us on that. We were so pleased with their work that we ended up having them do more than originally planned. My favorite part of dealing with them is that they were easy to keep in touch with via email, which was a big help to me since I don't have a lot of time to make phone calls during my work day. Lastly they were just very nice people! I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I am extremely frustrated by this experience. Because of the ratings on Angie's list I contacted this company on Monday(4/26/10). We arranged for the company to come to my property and do an estimate on Wednesday(4/28/10) at 3:00PM. I even called to confirm this appointment. The company never showed up and never called to cancel. I have left 2 more messages with the company that have not been returned. I would certainly not recommend this company to anyone.

They were the best and top notch. They did more work that we thought they will do.

Responded quickly to my phone message. After visiting to measure and inspect, he rapidly emailed a quote. Answered questions promptly. I developed a feeling he could and would do a good job. Price was best of the 4 quotes we obtained. Kept me informed about status of materials order. Scheduled the work as soon as materials arrived. Arrived on the day scheduled and began the work. Finished up promptly, even worked through a rainy day. Did a very nice job. Emailed final invoice promptly.

Needed to replace fence. Dave's estimate was the best I received and right on target. We played phone tag for a week or two, but I wasn't in a rush. Dave was prompt for all meetings. He and his crew were very nice, polite and professional. They installed the new fence in two days, removed the old fence and the posts from a chain link fence we had taken down last year as well. They left the yard looking better than when they arrived. I will definitely hire Dave and his crew again.
