Rudolfo & Jose did a great job on our condo in Cambridge. They were both punctual, professional, and an overall pleasure to deal with as well as being very nice people. The price was very reasonable and Rudolfo helped us out with purchasing all the materials at excellent prices. They worked long and hard everyday to make sure that every fine detail came out excellent. This included putting in the necessary time & effort to perfectly fix noticeable cracks in the ceiling and wall. They were very flexible and patient when we encountered a delay due to another contractor's work. They even did some carpentry work in order to keep everything progressing ahead smoothly. I recently hired them to paint another property in Downtown Boston because I trust they can do a wonderful job again. As Rudolfo says, a deal is a deal and he delivers no matter what. Highly Recommended!!!

Rodolfo was responsive and able to provide a quote quickly. While Rodolfo's quote was not the least expensive, he worked with us to reduce the scope of the job to better suit our budget. We ended up painting the full living room and foyer, dining room, and one office wall; two bathrooms; and some trim/casings on internal doors, windows, and closets. Rodolfo also improved the improperly installed molding and sanded down a newly built wall in order to paint it - it now looks like the wall was always there. Before the work began, Rodolfo quickly confirmed a start date and arrived promptly as scheduled. He and his team (Jose and Wilson) were able to complete this medium-sized job in only two (long) work days, including full clean-up. They were friendly, helpful, and very customer service-oriented. There was one minor miscommunication about whether the quote had included molding in the living room, and Rodolfo agreed to paint it right away. They also plastered some small holes in the walls and install new bathroom towel and toilet tissue fixtures at no extra charge. The painting looks clean and fresh, and has made a major difference in the appearance of our new home. We would work with Rodolfo and his team again.

Rodolfo was incredibly friendly, responsive and accommodating right from the start. He and his foreman Jose worked long days and did a fantastic job. The finished product looked better than I ever thought it could, thanks to their craftsmanship and attention to detail. We would absolutely hire Daddy and Junior again!

Rodolfo and his team were great to work with. Setting up the job and communication of the work was very easy and Rodolfo was in touch with me throughout the process. I also appreciated their consultation on paint finishes for the bathroom and molding and the final result looked fantastic. They finished the job for the 1100 sq ft. apartment within the promised time line (3 days) and within their initial estimate. Rodolfo took care to walk me through the job upon completion to ensure complete satisfaction. They also left the job site very clean and you could tell they take care in the work they do. I highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future.

Rodolofo and his team are currently working on our basement and doing an amazing job!! They show up early, work late, and are all genuinely nice people. The quality of their work is beautiful, they clean up when they are done and have been nothing but professional and pleasant. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for drywall and painting work.

I can't say enough good things about Rodolfo Galo, owner of Daddy and Junior Paint, Inc. We own and occupy a two family house, and last month our long term tenant gave us just over 30 days notice that she would be leaving at the end of August. After so many years, the apartment needed quite a bit of work, especially one bathroom with extensive plaster damage, and we had a small window of time in which to get the job done, right around September 1st, when so many other apartments in the area are turning over, and contractors are hard to find. We called several plasterers and painters, but the only one who called us back and followed up was Rodolfo, who returned my call within minutes and came to give us an estimate within a few days, on a Saturday. He spent nearly an hour with us, provided us with a quote on the spot, and explained the history of his business and how he works. We felt immediately comfortable with him and so fortunate that he would be able to do the job within our tight timeline, at a price we believed to be very reasonable. Over the next few weeks, Rodolfo lived up to our initial impression: he responded quickly to our calls and emails, mapped out a schedule for when he would come in to do various aspects of the job, and completed the work exactly as he said he would. He also did two small carpentry jobs that we hadn't anticipated (building a soffit around a bathroom exhaust fan duct and a frame for a wall air conditioner) and brought in a cleaning crew who worked for 4 hours on a Saturday after he finished painting, leaving the apartment beautifully clean and ready for new tenants. He did not charge us extra for these services. In addition to being completely reliable and so pleasant to work with, Rodolfo takes tremendous pride in his work. Although he only had a few days to complete the entire job, he did not cut any corners, and his paint job was perfect. He had one assistant (Jose, who was also very nice), but Rodolfo did the majority of the work on his own. He really appeared to be more invested in doing a high quality job and making us happy than in making money. We were so impressed by his kindness and professionalism. We will definitely use Rodolfo again, and we recommend him to anyone who needs plastering, painting, and small carpentry jobs.

From the time I met Rodolfo for the estimate I knew I would hire him. He was positive and made me feel comfortable from the beginning. Rodolfo and his team did a phenomenal job and even finished a few days before he estimated. And this was after I asked if he could add on painting the kitchen cabinets and the basement. Everything went really well and I would recommend Rodolfo and his team to anyone and have already given his name to some of my friends.

My rental property is an 1865 house. Most of the rooms have been updated but one room was in poor condition. The old plaster was loose and bulging in multiple places and the ceiling was one foot square tiles nailed to strapping. The owner, Rodolfo, came out to the house and took a good look at the project and then gave me an estimate. He conducted himself like a professional and also of the four estimates that I received his was the best, so we contracted his services. His foreman, Jose, ran the job and was an absolute pleasure to work with. In the past, I've always chosen plaster over drywall, but when Jose finished the work it was as good as any plaster I've ever seen. There were tenants in the house which can be a problem, but Jose made sure the dust and debris did not overflow into the rest of the house. He was respectful to the tenants and his work was outstanding. As a landlord of thirty years I've seen many contractors and I was very impressed with their work and the price. When they left the ceiling and walls looked like new and everything was freshly painted. Great Job!

Rodolfo did a great job. From the beginning to the end everything worked out perfectly. He did the job very nicely with perfection, I was not able to see where the repairs took place, looked as it was before the water ingress. He finished the job on time and charged a fair price which was agreed more than half a year before the work was done. I can recommend Rodolfo in all aspects.

Rodolfo (the owner) was great to work with. Super friendly, eager to please and offered us by far the most reasonable quote for the job. He was also very flexible in terms of when the job started; we closed on the property a week later than anticipated (and right before Thanksgiving) and he was able to accommodate us, which I was very thankful for, as we were waiting until the painting was finished to move our belongings in. Rodolfo and his assistant showed up on time and worked about 5 or 6 days straight through. The finished result was great- we were really happy with how it turned out. Also, and for me this is huge, they really left the place spotless- which if you've done any prep/ sanding, you know is a major hassle with any paint job. Would highly recommend them!

Rodolfo Galo responded promptly to our request for an estimate to replace several clapboards on our home along with scraping and painting the exterior of the house. He emailed the quote to us on the following day. He also furnished us with a Certificate of Insurance before he began the work. The project was delayed by one day but he called in advance to let us know. They began the work on a Monday morning, showing up at 7:30 AM. The entire project took one week and each day they were at our home at 7:30 AM and worked until it was too dark to work anymore. We even increased the scope of work to be done and they were still able to get the entire project completed within the one week estimated time. They were very quiet and respectful of our property. They covered our windows and shrubs with plastic and tarps as they were painting. They never bothered us with loud music or the request to use our bathroom. Rodolfo and Jose, were very pleasant and thorough in their preparation of the clapboards to be painted. When the project was complete, they removed all trash and debris from our property. They even took the old shutters from our home to dispose of them. We would not hesitate to hire them again. The job went very smoothly and was well done.

Rudolfo came on a weekend on short notice to look at some drywall repair. He was on time and patiently explained process. He is a great guy and is very patient with my questions. Unfortunately I decided to hold off on the work till next year because I had to spend my budget on other emergency issues.

Rodolfo and his team showed up on time throughout the week and performed the service in a very timely manner. The quality of the work was great, I can't even tell that there was any work done to the walls once the project was completed. The hardwood floors also look great and very professional. They worked longer hours to make sure they completed the project on the proposed schedule which I am very thankful for.

Rodolfo is the owner and he works right along side his crew and makes sure that everything is done up to expectations, cleaned up and rehung all items that were moved. Great prices also! Rodolfo and his team was great. They arrived on time and they did an amazing job on both the ceiling and the damaged drywall along the basement stairs. They worked overtime getting the job done as the ceiling was a difficult job and did not charge us for the extra time and team members that were required to finish the job. We had a paint job and I wanted to get the quotes. We had an initial appt for 6pm. On the day of appt he wanted to make it for 1 pm. I came from work to accomodate his request. He looked at the work and told me that he will give me the quote in couple of days. He never replied to my calls again. He also didn't reply to my messages on angieslist. Not sure why he wasted his and my time. --Update May 20th, I am sorry about the review. My bad. I didn't see his email sent by him on 05/18. I am extremely sorry.

I moved into my new home in September of 2012 and had this provider repaint the interior. The paint on the trim has started to bubble and chip. He did not do any prep work, they did not clean up after themselves or put back light switch covers. In several areas he only did one coat so old paint is starting to show through. The paint is actually flaking in a lot of the home, again meaning that he did not prep or do two coats. He completely forgot to do my stairs and spindles as we originally agreed on. It's important to know that he sent his best painters the first day and then less experienced painters for the rest. I asked why and he said that they were on others jobs. The owner told me that he would inspect all of the work performed by his crew but he clearly did not.

Finding the Perfect Painting Company I love to paint and did all the interior painting at our last house myself but when we moved into our new home, a 3,000 sq ft Contemporary with 20 ft. ceilings, I knew that this was a job for a professional. We contacted three painting companies to get a quote but felt that most of them tried to avoid a job so big ? and difficult ? which was also reflected in their proposals. When I met with Rodolfo from Daddy & Junior he was the only one who was very excited about taking on a project like ours. When we received his quote ? which was significantly lower than the others ? going with Daddy & Junior was a no-brainer. The Painting Process I had hired a color consultant to help me pick out the perfect paint colors for our new home. With her help I had picked out a warm light grey for the large living/kitchen area. Naively trusting her judgment I did not test the color. Once Rodolfo?s team started putting the selected paint on the walls it turned into a dark tan nightmare. Although his crew had already painted two of the main walls, Rodolfo agreed that this color was a no go and that we needed to find a better color solution. I was super embarrassed that I had not tested the color prior to hiring a painter and making Daddy & Junior go through all the trouble of repainting and changing their game plan. Once again, great thanks to Rodolfo and his crew for all their moral support and assistance in finding the PERFECT color! The Quality of Work Since Daddy & Junior had given us by far the lowest quote I was a little concerned that the quality of work would not meet my standards. But I was pleasantly surprised by the result: The whole house looks amazing!! I don?t think anybody could have done a better job, especially not in such a short time. I can?t believe that it only took Daddy & Junior 4 ½ days to paint the entire house including ceilings, baseboard and trim. The Crew It is not always easy when you have the house full of strangers performing any kind of handy work but it did not feel that way with Daddy & Junior. Beside the outstanding work they do, they are wonderful people to be around with: hardworking, reliable, polite and honest ? and most importantly, with a great sense of humor. Rodolfo and his crew go above and beyond to make their clients happy: Daddy & Junior did not charge us for the additional labor needed to repaint the two living room walls and painted our railings and patio doors that were not part of the original proposal at no cost.
