Left a voicemail and never received a return phone call.

Walter brought his crew of 4 along with all equipment to the house at 8 AM. They worked non-stop till 2 PM, checking in with me from time to time, when questions arose. They were very pleasant to deal with, polite, efficient and knowledgeable. We had received higher quotes than Walter's, yet he and his team did as fine a job, as we could have hoped for. They cleaned up beautifully before leaving, including debris they hadn't produced. We will definitely use Collings Company Tree Service in the future and recommend them highly.

He was high but I think that the prices in the Boston area are a little pricey. He's ready to work at any time but very good. Prompt.

Walter came and gave me a quote promptly. However, I kept calling numerous times to schedule the work and he never returned my phone calls.

Walter provided excellent service and performed job with ease and made it look easy. He even noticed additional debris behind our shed and removed it along with the trees he took down. Also trimmed back a huge calalpa branch that was scraping our roof even though that was not part of the original agreement. He went above and beyond and seemed to truly enjoy his work and was proud of it. Would highly recommend and would definitely use again. He cleaned up so well, it was cleaner than when he started, including the driveway. He doesn't drive his truck on your lawn and climbs the trees himself. Awesome job. Was a little late showing up to job, but otherwise no complaints.

A very large branch broke from a tree behind my house and was hanging between another tree and the gutter on the house. Walter came to examine the situation and give me a quote the same day I called. He was friendly and professional, and provided insurance info along with a firm price quote. He had suggestions for other work that was needed, and provided separate pricing for some of this, but did not pressure me in any way. After getting a second (higher) quote, I called to schedule the removal and Walter did the work the following day. I could not be more pleased with the results. All debris was removed, the area was clean, and no damage was done to the surrounding lawn and landscaping or to the house. I would recommend Collings Company Tree Service without reservation.

Walter and his assistants were fantastic in every regard. They ground down a medium-sized stump that was left by the previous homeowner. In addition, they cut and stacked the old woodpile that was left after the tree was initially cut down. They neatly stacked the cut wood on a wooden pallet and removed any wood that was not useful for firewood. They did an excellent job and cleaned up after they were finished. Walter is extremely professional, courteous, and leaves no stone unturned. In addition, he is extremely knowledgeable and answered several additional questions I had about other trees in my yard. I would not hesitate to hire him again in the future.

Walter Collings was terrific, very knowledgeable and he knew exactly what needed to be done. He submitted a detailed estimate, we agreed to the price and he was back within a week well-equipped and ready to do the job. He did exactly what he said he would do and cleaned up perfectly. In addition he was better than a circus performer to watch- a very talented showman! I would definitely hire him again in a heartbeat.

The Collings Company. Tree Service was thoroughly professional and more. This was something of an emergency. They responded to my call promptly. Mr. Colling came out that night to do an emergency inspection and gave me a verbal quote, which I agreed to. He showed up on time the next morning and with his assistant did a very efficient job of removing a large section of a very tall box elder that had fallen in a windstorm across my deck and was in a very awkward position teetering over a steep slope. He not only sawed and removed the majority of the wood, he also sawed into appropriate lengths the larger sections for firewood as I requested, and, past my expectations, he climbed the remaining section of the tree to trim and seal off the stump remaining on the main tree. The clean up was exceptionally meticulous. Mr. Colling is a thorough, knowledgeable professional and a gentleman to boot. I give this company the highest rating.

I called Collings twice to request a quote for removal and pruning of some trees in our yard. My first message was not returned. When I called back a week later I started to leave another message when the phone was picked up and someone started cursing with some extreme expletives then hung up. I waited and called back several times without any answer. I finally connected with someone live who said they would pass the message along, but they could offer no explanation of the earlier experience. It was very off-putting and didn't inspire a lot of confidence. Still haven't received a return call.

Couldn't have been more pleased. Came when they said they would, did work as expected. Clean-up was excellent. Very professional work.

Walt returned all phone calls promptly and was right on time for both the initial appointment and the actual service call. He gave a price quote rather than an estimate, which was great as there were no surprises when it came time to pay the bill. Walt and his crew did a fantastic job working in difficult conditions - the Ailanthus tree is in a small yard in the city and overhangs five other yards and power lines, is ivy-covered, and is not accessible by driveway - all materials had to be carried from the yard, up a long alley to the street. He and his crew did a fabulous job cleaning up - in fact, they cleaned the entire yard and alley, removing all leaves and debris on the ground, not just the materials they removed from the trees. Walt is a nice guy and a true professional. I couldn't be happier with the service provided!

Once we connected and set a time and date everything went smoothly, he even offered to take some brush and root balls I had in my yard. Walter (Buck) Collings may look a little rough around the edges but he is a true professional and does excellent work.

Returned calls promptly, was explicit in describing exactly what work would be completed, and provided a QUOTE (versus estimate) for proposed work job. Completed work to building's satisfaction, work was completed on-time and there were no problems.

SUPER RESPONSIVE! OTHER COMPANIES FAILED TO RETURN MY CALLS, EVEN AFTER GIVING ME AN ESTIMATE. WALTER CALLED RIGHT BACK AND WAS ABLE TO DO THE JOB ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. THEY FINISHED IN RECORD TIME, CLEANED UP BEAUTIFULLY, AND EVEN TRIMMED A COUPLE OF OTHER TREES THAT NEEDED SOME ATTENTION. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS EXCELLENT. THE METICULOUS CLEANUP WAS REMARKABLE - ONE WOULD NEVER EVEN KNOW THEY HAD BEEN THERE. VERY PLEASANT CREW.

WALTER CAME OUT WHEN SCHEDULED AND PRICED THE JOB IN THREE INCREMENTS. A WEEK LATER, HE CALLED AND SAID "WE'LL BE THERE TOMORROW AT 8 A.M." HE, AND HIS CREW OF THREE, WERE HERE AT 7:30 A.M. AND WORKED UNTIL NOON. (IN 90 PLUS DEGREE HEAT.) THEY DID WHAT WE AGREED ON AND CLEANED UP AN ADDITIONAL AREA, ALSO. THE PLACE LOOKS GREAT!

WALTER WAS ON TIME, AND VERY EFFICIENT. HE LEFT ALMOST NO MESS, EVEN THOUGH HIS CHIPPER WASN'T WORKING AT THE TIME.

CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE TO REQUEST SOMEONE TO LOOK AT JOB BUT NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK

FIRST APPOINTMENT WAS ARRANGED BUT CONTRACTOR NEVER SHOWED UP, PERHAPS HE GOT LOST BUT HE NEVER CALLED. I SENT A LETTER WITH DIRECTIONS TO MY HOME ASKING HIM TO CONTACT ME TO RESCHEDULE SINCE THIS IS CERTAINLY THE BUSY TIME OF THE YEAR FOR THIS BUSINESS. HE CALLED ON SATURDAY MORNING. ASKED IF IT WAS CONVENIENT TO COME OVER WHICH WAS FINE WITH ME. NICE GUY, KNOWS HIS BUSINESS BUT PRICE WAS QUITE STEEP. I AM PLANNING TO HIRE SOMEONE EITHER THIS FALL OR NEXT SPRING JUST WANTED AN IDEA OF WHAT I SHOULD BE EXPECTING TO SPEND. I WOULD HIRE THE COMPANY AGAIN FOR OTHER JOB IS THE PRICE IS RIGHT.

WALTER WAS PROFESSIONAL AND RESPONSIVE. HE RETURNED MY FIRST PHONE CALL WITHIN AN HOUR. THE ESTIMATE DIDN'T HAPPEN QUITE AS PROMPTLY AS PROMISED, BUT THE DELAY WAS MINOR. HE ACTUALLY GAVE A QUOTE RATHER THAN AN ESTIMATE, GUARANTEEING THE PRICE QUOTED. THIS IS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH HAVING THIS KIND OF WORK DONE, BUT IT LOOKS GOOD SO FAR. HE ALSO REMOVED OTHER YARD DEBRIS THAT WE'D HAD LYING AROUND, WITHOUT BEING ASKED AND AT NO EXTRA COST. HIS PRICE WAS ALMOST $300 LESS THAN THE NEXT PRICE WE'D GOTTEN.

THE COMPANY IS VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED THAT I COULDN'T EVEN GET A PHONE CALL.

HE WAS GREAT! HE WAS VERY CONSCIENTIOUS ABOUT GETTING THE WORK DONE. HE WAS VERY PUNCTUAL. HE DID EXTRA THINGS THAT HE DID NOT HAVE TO WITHOUT CHARGING. HE LEFT AS MUCH OF THE TREE UP AS HE POSSIBLY COULD. HIS PRICE WAS 2/3 OF WHAT ANOTHER COMPANY QUOTED ME.
