Rick was fantastic! He worked around my schedule, made sure he had all the right materials, and did outstanding work at a very fair price. He also took great care to clean up afterwards and leave everywhere he worked looking just like he found it. He even took care of a couple other small “to-dos” unrelated to the job, which was a huge time and money saver! He works clean, and really cares about how the finished job is going to look. He also did an alteration to our kitchen island that required finish carpentry and matching existing wood finish, which came out great. We couldn't ask for more - highly recommended!

Rick did a perfect job from beginning to end - estimate, design, building permit, and construction. Rick was collaborative and thoroughly reliable throughout the project. He made design suggestions to make the new the new stairs compliment the look of the of the house. I could not be more pleased with quality of the finished stairs. Everyone knows a complete kitchen remodel can be a nightmare, but Rick made it a smooth process. From start to finish, Rick coordinated everyone we would need. His prices are competitive, may be a bit higher, but his quality of work is worth it. Arrived when he said he would, cleaned up every spot before leaving every day, and if he had a concern he stopped to make sure we agreed with what he needed to do. We did hit one minor problem, a cabinet wasn’t going to work the way we wanted. Instead of a usual blame game (ie contractor blames designer, designer blames contractor...) Rick took ownership and the lead in finding a resolution. We were so impressed with his professionalism, attention to detail, fair prices, and just outstanding work we have used his services for other projects such as window replacement. Honesty is another top quality here. We wanted wood floors installed and have existing floors refinished. Instead of saying no problem I can do that. He said, no problem I have a great guy that does that and will send him over for you to meet. If you want great work done from a professional who obviously takes pride in his work, from someone who respects your time and offers fair prices for impeccable work we highly recommend Rick Ward.

Rick did a beautiful job replacing six sash windows with casement windows. He knows what he's doing, is conscientious and cares about the work. He's also very tidy in cleaning up at the end of the day! We plan to hire him again for a bathroom remodeling in the near future.

Rick did a fantastic job. He responded immediately to my request for a quote. He was always responsive, courteous and respectful throughout the whole process. He did exactly what he said he would do, with no deviations from schedule. He always kept in touch via phone, email or text which was great. A+ for sure.

Rick was very responsive to our request for a quote. We had bigger ideas than what we could afford, but he was very helpful and was able to work within our budget. The new door and window allow for a lot more light to come into the room.

We hired Rick after an electrical outage caused our sump to back up and flood our finished basement to a depth of about 4 inches. He tore out the saturated carpet, and cut out the drywall up to 2-3 feet. He also carefully dismantled our baseboard heating covers so that he could reinstall them afterward. We discussed the best course given the possibility of a future flood, and decided on drywall down to about six inches above the floor, and a plastic building material which can get wet below that. After replacing the wet insulation, Rick repaired the walls as discussed and installed a white, plastic trim as a baseboard. The finished product looks great! Rick also bleached the concrete floor and put us in touch with a company that does high-quality vinyl flooring that looks like wood. We're very happy with the results and with Rick's work, and highly recommend him for any work, new or repairs, that you might have.

He was meticulous. Very exacting with his work. Always arrived when promised. Even worked one weekend. Definitely would hire him again.

Rick Ward came as promised to review the job and provide an estimate. I had concerns that underlying damage might require extensive repairs. Mr. Ward came and determined that the apparent damage was minimal and would not require a rebuild. He stated he would complete the minimal repairs required--a smaller job than he would usually undertake. He returned later in the afternoon, checked all the steps for loose treads and repaired as needed. It took him about 30 minutes to complete the task. The steps are secured. I would make him my first person to contact for any carpentry work that I might require.

Rick was great -- easy to work with, punctual, and responsive. He was always up front about the scope of work, cost, and time frame. We needed to have our kitchen functional before the holidays, and Rick and his team worked hard to ensure that it happened. He even came over on a Saturday just to help us move our washer and dryer upstairs. During the renovation we asked for a few modifications to the original plan, and Rick was happy to make the changes. We are very pleased with the results and would hire Rick again for any future projects.

Rick not only showed up every day. He called to ask if he could work 2 Saturdays and even 1 Sunday so that he wouldn't hold up the sub contractors. Rick is a master carpenter and his work is perfect. I love my new house and I would urge anyone to grab this guy if you can get him. He is honest, hardworking, and a great person.

Richard arrived on time. He brought a nd installed railing with hardware and support expeditiously. He did an outstanding job! Total price $300.

When my husband and I bought our house, the front porch was in rough shape. We found Rick on Angie's List, and he came out to look at the porch right away. He gave us a more reasonable quote than the others we spoke to. He was very honest and practical about what would need to be done to get our porch into shape. He was professional and easy to get in touch with. Most importantly, he did a great job! Our new porch is sturdy, safe, and attractive!
