Steve removed our old wooden deck and replaced it with a much larger one. He was a delight to work with: extremely conscientious and professional. We would definitely hire him again. The project was done exactly on time. When we decided to hire Steve, he let us know when he could schedule the work and he was true to his word. He started exactly when he promised and the project was done right on time. Steve showed up early each morning and worked a full day. He completed most of the work himself, bringing in a helper for some of the heavy, non-precision work (such as digging holes for footings). Steve is very exacting and precise. He consulted us on any design decisions and was knowledgable about complying with building code. Although he recommended mahogany, when we explained that we wanted low maintenance, he was willing to work with composite decking and did a beautiful job. He showed a great deal of attention to detail, using top notch materials and custom (invisible) fasteners to attach the decking. He cleaned up up all debris and left not a speck of mess behind. We do not hesitate to recommend him.

They did a great job on it. I was impressed when the lumber for the deck arrived; there was something that he did not like. He would not accept it and sent it back. I liked that because he was looking out for my best interest. The deck is very solid. I would have him do some more. There were no issues. The price was in line with what I had budgeted.

We had been gathering bids for a portico entryway we are having built onto the front of our home when we received a flyer in the mail for Advantage Remodeling. They have no reports on Angie's List but the flyer prompted us to call. Stephen came out to assess the job to provide an estimate. We spent about 20-30 minutes at the house talking, followed up with an email, then we never heard back from him. It is frustrating that he wasted our time.
