This builder talks a good line, the bottom line is that were had to get another contractor to finish the job of building a new house after 17 months when the outside siding was not even complete. At that time the cost was over $300,000 more than the initial discussions - we did NOT make any major changes to the plans and we did NOT require any work to be redone. He consistently ignored our instructions even those given in writing and when we we asked for pricing details going forward he pulled his permit in the hopes of preventing our completing the house. He also removed valuable materials from the site despite attorneys instructions not to and claimed that his subs errors, for which he had billed us an additional 10%, were nothing to do with him and was not his responsibility.
