She was very knowledgeable about the products and had great insight on color schemes and what style of blinds would work best for the type of lighting through those particular windows. Took time to listen to what I had in mind and helped me find blinds that I'm very happy with. Excellent customer service.

I needed the services of a professional window designer and saw Lori's name in a listing - she was the only listing for window treatments I could find. My summer renters were complaining about too much light in the bedrooms. I showed her the ones we were using, which barely filtered light. My husband and I were adamant that we wanted room darkening shades with style. We also wanted some fabric treatments. She took notes. We gave her a maximum budget of $1,000. She showed us sample shades and recommended an expensive one that she thought would meet our needs. We decided that since she was the pro, we'd take her advice. She measured and ordered the shades. When they were installed, there was ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE between her very expensive shades and the cheap ones I had purchased at Home Depot. (I don't live in the house, so when I stayed there, I woke up in the same bright light and assumed the shades had not yet been installed. Not only that but the windows were poorly measured, and one of the shades didn't even fit the window. I told her this was unacceptable and that I wanted to return the shades.. She said they couldn't be returned because they were custom measured - a detail she never warned us about. She said the manufacturer might consider a trade, but our only options were more expensive. I was stunned that she never once admitted to or apologized for such a gross oversight. I was stuck. I could not spend more and was running out of time. So I went to the hardware store, bought plastic blackout shades and installed them myself. I'm stuck with the shades, but I asked her to buy back the ones that didn't even fit. She didn't. The fabric treatments were no better - she had only 2 sample books, and barely NONE of the samples matched anything in my home. I settled for the only one that worked, and that was cheaply installed and looked it. I am out $1000 with nothing to show for it. I would not advise anyone to use her services.
