I wholeheartedly recommend Julien for home improvement work. He is the kindest, most professional contractor I've ever worked with. He listened to what we wanted and made helpful recommendations when needed. We worked collaboratively to create a brand new bathroom where there was once an office and to enlarge a traditional closet into a walk-in. This was all done virtually, as I was away, and through phone calls, pictures, and sketches we were able to complete a beautiful finished project.

Julien gave our house a complete new look….vinyl siding, windows, and front door. We have never had a better contractor experience! Julien and his crew were dependable, friendly, and performed high quality work. Julien’s calm demeanor and “customer is always right” attitude stand out above anyone else we could have chosen for this multi-faceted job. The time that Julien spent with us even before we signed a contract, all the way through the last day on the job, was truly amazing. He recognized how complex the job was, and no question or concern from us was too small. Julien was like another member of our family by the time the job was done…to the point where it was a little bittersweet not to see him on a daily basis. His email and text response time was always very quick, and he took the time to explain everything to us as thoroughly as needed until we were comfortable/satisfied. Julien always worked with our schedule for in-person meetings and gave us time and space to decide if he was the right guy for us. After we signed a contract, there was never any pressure to make decisions on colors/styles/etc. We were always on the same page with Julien, and there were zero surprises over the course of the work. His pricing is fair, and he went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect and we were 100% satisfied. We would hire Julien again in a heartbeat….in fact, we already have the next project mapped out for him when the timing is right. One item was over looked but Julien was very responsive and took care of it right away. Replaced kick-plate and expected that it would have been caulked but it wasn't. Not a big deal but had someone else to the front door kick-plate and he caulked it without any discussion. Overall would recommend. Responsive and professional.

I was pleased with the timeliness of proposal. Work was scheduled within my timeframe and completed on schedule. I had two minor concerns with the finished product, but neither has turned out to be a problem. The vinyl is more slippery than we expected. In the spring we'll add some grit tape which will hopefully resolve. The carpenter who did most of the work was friendly, helpful and professional. I would definitely use them again, but have nothing right now that needs their services.

The underpinning of several of our basement stairs had rotted out due to water damage, requiring the complete rebuilding of the stairs. This firm gave us an estimate of the job, and suggested a way of rebuilding them which would be stronger and less costly than replacing the staircase as it was. The crew came on-time, and were courteous and professional. They left the work area clean - as if they'd never been there. The stairs are very sturdy and look great! We're up and down them often to do laundry, and believe these will carry us well into the future. They did a great job.

Everything went extremely well. Workers showed up on time every day. The project took about 2 weeks. Very polite and professional. I would absolutely hire them again! The workers are very considerate and take time to answer any questions. I couldn't be any happier with the outcome.

Marcus Bouchard was referred to me by several people. He did an outstanding job installing custom wood work in our dining room and kitchen. He was extremely helpful and patient, he helped us select the appropriate moldings and also build custom shelving. he was professional, prompt in returning calls, efficient. Overall, I would highly recommend! We are thrilled with the results.

Julien Drapeau is a skillful carpenter with high standards, and we were especially impressed with the fact that he worked side-by-side with his crew every day until the job was finished. We had gotten estimates from 3 contractors and although Julien was not the cheapest, he was the only one who really listened to us and did not try to talk us into more work than we really wanted. For example, we made the decision to leave our breezeway area untouched because the existing cedar clapboards were in good condition and able to be painted to coordinate perfectly with the new vinyl areas, which are shake-style by Certainteed. The 2 other contractors insisted that everything should be vinyl, but Julien respected our taste. We were very pleased with the quality of his work and also that of his well-mannered crew. We had replaced the gutters and downspouts less than a year before and were anxious about how they would fare during the project. They were carefully removed by Julien and his crew before demolition of the old cedar, and reinstalled without so much as a scratch after the vinyl siding was completed. They were very careful around our shrubs which sustained no damage at all. During the demolition process, a screen door sustained a small hole which I didn't notice until Julien called it to our attention. Within 24 hrs, he replaced it with a new screen. I recommend Julien Drapeau most highly and without reservation. I couldn't be happier with how beautifully our project turned out.

Julian was able to get the old window out and the new window in very quickly. It was cold and he was able to change out the window within about a half an hour so that our house was not cold for long. Julian takes the time and is very meticulous with the work. We have had him do more work for us since this time and we plan on replacing a back sliding door with him in the spring. Julian is reliable and his work is excellent. There is no one else I would trust to perform the work needed on my house.

We used Julien's company last year for a door installation as our last contact, but had our house and attached garage sided by him in a prior year. We had been referred by neighbors who used him for siding and home improvement work. He's great to work with; very prompt getting back to you and realistic about timelines. Estimates were right on the money with no surprise extra costs. On the siding job, he and/or his work crew showed up promptly, did great work and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. People who came out to do the work were pleasant and courteous, following the example of the company's owner. We have been very happy with the quality of the work over time since the home improvements. Would recommend him to anyone.
