My chair fell apart and the fabric failed in less than two years. I brought my chair back and paid to have it fixed and the chair was return to me with a broken frame. I informed them that there was a problem with the chair as soon as I got it home. I was told that the chair broke because I played, "horsey" on it. I understand that mistakes happen. Something happened when the seat was re-installed. At least be professional and remedy the situation instead of making up excuses like, "horsey." In addition, the back of the chair was fixed incorrectly in a recline instead of the original angle. I was told that there was nothing they could do about it. I was also told that there is no warranty on the fabric unless new foam is installed and they can't install new foam without changing the look and feel of the chair because the original foam is injected. So after two years and two re-upholsteries I have a broken chair with no fabric warranty. Plus, I spent more money re-upholstering the chair than what I original bought it for. As a note, I didn't want to write this review but the owner came right out and refused to fix the chair. She said, "the frame was not her problem."

Response from RANDOLPH'S UPHOLSTERY & INTERIORS
We originally reupholstered 4 high barstools for Mr. R., In May 2018. He brought 1 chair back (His chair) May 2020 because the seat cover was splitting. I tried to get the vinyl company to warranty the vinyl, but they would not because we had not replaced the foam in the seat back in 2018. In our opinion and Mr.R's the foam was still good. The back had been removed from the chair. I asked him why. He said, " The screws fell out and they lost 1 of them. I said, "Ok" Then we will fix the back, replace the seat foam and recover the seat. I can not do all this for free. It has been 2 yrs.". I discounted the cost of foam, vinyl and labor. He agreed. Then we found we could not replace the foam because it was an injected molded foam. This is done at a factory. We didn't know this until we got into it. I refunded the cost of foam and tax. We had to buy and put larger screws in because the ones that came from the factory were too small to fit the T-nuts they had in the back. We did the job and called him when it was ready to pick up. He took the chair home. Next day there was a VM. Back is slanting at a different angle than the other chairs and he was hearing a popping sound when he sits in the chair. I told him to bring it back. When he sat on the chair, he began rocking back and forth against the back of the chair. I thought, why is he doing this, he is going to break the chair. My upholsterer was looking under the chair as he was rocking in it. He noticed 1 of the welds were broken where the bottom of the arm tubing meets the top of the seat frame. It did not break at our shop as he is accusing.. We would have noticed a broken weld and brought it to his attention, if it happened while at our shop. We strive to make our customers happy, but somethings are out of our control. We have been in business for over 45 years. Never had a customer we couldn't please, until now. Elaine Randolph
