Jason explained exactly what had happened and his recommendation to correct it. He came on a Sunday which no other contractor would do. They came back the next day and did the work. They were professional and courteous and clean.
Description of Work: They came right away on a Sunday after we had been hit by lightning. To correct the problem they put a whole house power surge protector on the electrical panel.

This was the second time we had this electrician in and we found everyone very professional and the work was well done. They came out and gave us a quote for the work, but there was no pressure to get the work done immediately and we told them that. When we were ready a couple of months later, I called up and within a couple of weeks had two of their crew come out. They were on time, which was great. The two men were professional and even cleaned up any mess they made. My main issue was for them to fix a problem from our last electrician. One plug had too much on it and kept tripping the circuit breaker. They were able to fix the problem and now we can use all the plugs without having an issue. They also brought and installed two new Panasonic bathroom fans. The fans work great- no condensation after a shower at all. They installed three ceiling fans (which I purchased) and then they took the time to show me how each fan operated. Great company. No issues at all. The job was well done and I would definitely call them again.
Description of Work: The provider replaced 3 very old ceiling fans, two bathroom exhaust fans that they provided, and fixed a plug that kept tripping.

Description of Work: Installed new heating and hot water system. 25 year old furnace boiler/burner and indirect oil fired hot water were replaced by Buderus boiler with a Beckett remote exterior temp monitor, Riello burner and Crown oil fired water tank. New oil line was run also. Paul measured for the proposal and answered the multitude of questions I asked. Before he left, I was confident that I could trust that they would recommend hardware appropriate to my home. The installation went smoothly. Todd did a beautiful job with the plumbing - the pipes, switches, pump, and expansion tank are all very neatly arranged. The system operates differently than my old one. Thinking there was something wrong, I called. Paul came immediately and checked the programming and circulation. All was fine and has been since. I went through the Mass Save program for zero percent financing and rebates. Nola was very helpful with processing the forms. I highly recommend Morrissette. I have used them for oil and service for a number of years. Their fuel prices are better than I hear about from many people. I did not shop around for price on the heating system. I had researched online forums to get a sense of Buderus equipment reliability. I found a near identical system had been installed several years earlier in the Boston area for several thousand more. Knowing I was in good hands, I was happy to get the project done.

He put in an electrical panel that was too long and he cut the panel to make it fit. The work was very shoddy. He had a worker with him who smoked in my garage and he put his cigarette out inside and left it. Installed electrical outlet on the outside and I didn't want it.
Description of Work: Change electrical panel.

[Member name removed] was a very difficult customer to work for, unfortunately. [member name removed] blamed one of our installers for smoking in her property, which we do not even allow in our own work trucks, let alone at our customers homes. She blamed the incorrect people for that. Additionally, [member name removed] didn't not understand the main feed from her service from the street, to her home, and to the panel. The panel was in a very awkward spot, and a small measure of trimming the panel took place in order for the new panel to fit. She did not like that. She also had a Federal Pacific panel which has been removed from store shelves as it is a fire hazard and no longer carries the UL certification. Additionally, we also included an outside outlet at no charge, which was discussed at the original meeting, but we forgot to include in the proposal. We did install the outlet, and she did not like the NEC 2013 code required weatherproof cover. We then removed it and blank plated the outlet. We of course wish hat the job went a lot smoother, but we hope that we ultimately made her happy with the new special ordered panel that didn't need to be trimmed to accommodate that spot. The job had no issues with passing inspection.

How did it go? Great. Jason was right on time (and I am about 40 minutes away from his home base). My immediate impression was of a friendly, neat, clean and friendly gentleman. My perceptions proved to be accurate. Punctuality impresses me but I find politeness and courtesy of equal importance. More important however is the quality of the work that was performed. Jason immediately stated the job and took time to explain what he was doing. He explained that he liked to check every possible connection and source of future potential problems. Spark plug gapping, cleaning clogged vents if any, changing the oil ....(done VERY neatly without a drop spilled) and cleaning inside a bit where the generator installer (who I would NEVER call back!!!!!) was not as careful!!! (Note: The company I selected based on one of the and quot;otherand quot; online referral services for my generator installer/sales representative was unfortunately, BEFORE I joined Angie's List. THAT did not go well!!!) I wish I knew about Morressette Electric!!! After the inspection/tune up was completed by Jason of Morrissette Electric, he explained that he would be running a thorough test of the generator to check that it was running well, which it was. These days, it's hard to find anyone with whom a senior citizen can feel is doing the job well and honestly. I can comfortably say that I have 110 % confidence in Jason of Morrissette and Son Electrical Contractors and would without hesitation have him back to my home and recommend him to others. Job well done, Jason! Thanks. Alan Glasser
Description of Work: we have a 1 1/2 year old Generac 14 KW Generator and I wanted to have its annual service/maintanance done by a quaity, certified Generac technician.

The work that they did at the house was great. They were extremely friendly, hard working, and also thoughful. After each day they were there they would always clean up after themselves making it look like they were never there doing work on the outlets.
Description of Work: We had all of the outlets replace from two prong to three prong outlets. We had all of the outlets also grounded that were not grounded (which was most of them). We had our circuit breaker box moved and put in a new box with surge protector. (Highly Recommend) Also had 2 lights replaced with ceiling fans and replace an existing ceiling fan with a new one.

The lightening strike had burnt out the chandelier motor so Mr Morrissette came out and diagnosed the problem and repaired it. He also did some electric work in the fuse box in the basement so if the lightening struck again we wouldn’t have any problems. He was professional. His work was great. His price was very fair. He worked with an electrical company for quite a few years and then he started his own electrical company. We decided to go with him because he was very good.
Description of Work: Mr. Morrissette helped us fix the chandelier motor which was damaged in the lightening strike.
