I needed to have all of the flooring removed from my attic to have more insulation blown in. They were here within a few days and had everything done within hours.

I would hire Paul and Dave again if I need anything done around the house. Their team did an excellent job replacing decking around my pool. They explained everything that they needed to do and their were no surprises. Great workmanship, and easy to contact if I had any questions. They returned phone calls within an hour. Project turned out great.

Paul and Dave got right to work and kept at it for a day and a half till it was done and the deck was made safe. And when I pointed out two little areas that were missed they immediately took care of them. I would recommend them.

They came when they said and communicated well with each other and with us. They made sure that we knew what was going on and where the project was going. These are true workmen.

Paul is always available to answer questions and deal with concerns. He and David are extremely responsive. The started on time, and were only little late finishing due to one of there lead folks being ill. Im about to use them again to deal with new support posts for my wrap around porch. Looking forward to working with them again.

I contracted with D & P Handyman to have my front porch stairs rebuilt. Six stairs, four boards each, seven feet wide. Some of them were crumbling and needed to be replaced rather quickly. I met with Paul, thought he was very present. He was the first contractor who seemed to understand what I wanted, how I wanted things to be done. Who understood the scope of the project and the appropriate materials. I enjoyed meeting him, he had an excellent sense of humor (a very subjective thing I know) Although his fee for the scope of the work and materials used was rather high. And in the end he wouldn't break the costs down for me clearly. Materials and labor, continually siting that we had not set the job up that way. To say the least he was not transparent. He led me to believe he had a lot of building experience and would be very conscientious in his work. (of course why would he say otherwise) Unfortunately that was not my experience with him or his partner David. Nobody is going to come to your house and say hire us, we're not great but we would love to have the work! Maybe they are wonderful doing handyman projects? Maybe they are thorough and thoughtful? They say their customers have been very happy with their work. I made the tough choice to not have them come back to do the final touch ups. I found so many concerning things around the quality of their craftsmanship and in the end I felt a bit handled. I will list everything that causes me concern. I did a bit of research to understand things better. I consulted a friend with a lot of building experience working on his own projects. I also had another contractor come out for another pair of eyes to assess the work. (not something he was completely comfortable doing) I found him to be very thorough and fair in his assessment. 1.) Paul said he would seal all the boards before bringing them onsite - it seems some of the undersides of the boards were not sealed. 2.) There were some serious cracks made by the screws. Paul said they would have replaced them before they were done and yet that was not mentioned (until I pointed it out) and on close inspection the cracks were filled with some kind of clear filler. Which leads me to believe they were hoping I would not notice. (in my research and my consultations it seems important to pre-drill holes before using screws, something that wasn't done) 3.) Some of the boards are not level with the others. Care was not taken to make sure the stringers (kept from the last stairs) were level and set up correctly to receive the risers and treads. 4.) Some of the stairs are angled in the wrong direction. Towards their backs and not away. Water run off would be a serious problem here. 5.) The outside edges of the stairs are all different. (an area one doesn't notice immediately since there are pre-existing rails.) There is not a consistent overhang. In some places the risers are exposed. In some places the treads overhang as they sho

So grateful for finding them. After moving, my queen bed had broken slats and a crooked frame. They asked in advance for photos and talked to me about their prior experience and price. Very honest and upfront. Job was excellent; bed actually looks and feels like new! Booking another appointment today. Thank you.
