Description of Work: We hired Farley Plumbing to help us update the plumbing in our newly acquired 97 year old two family house. Billy came over and did a walk-through with my Husband and based on his knowledge of how much work we were doing to the house overall, he prepared two estimates; the 'NEED to get done' and the 'NICE to get done' which was very helpful. | |Billy began the work quickly, was well organized and efficient in the way he approached his work and collaborated well with the other contractors who were working in the house at the same time. Shortly into the job, Billy identified a problem with the main water line into the house and worked with us to coordinate the multi-step replacement which involved the City Water dept., an independent contractor to dig out/fill in the trench from the house to the street and the connection to the interior plumbing. | |Things ran smoothly with the 'new work' that Billy was doing for our new 1st and 2nd floor laundry rooms and kitchens but once he started updating the existing plumbing to the bathrooms, the fun began! The previous home-owner had relied on the 'friends and family' approach to working on the bathroom plumbing and it was a hodge-podge of patched together solutions. Billy straighten it all out and corrected some serious issues (no traps in the bathtub drain work!) that would have been BIG problems down the line once we had the walls closed. | |During his work on the house, we found Billy to be reliable, professional and easy to work. Not being technically adept at plumbing, my 'eyeball' assessment of the work done was impressive but when the City Inspector did his walk through, he repeated commented on the quality of Billy's work ('nice job', 'that's good work' and 'that's going to last...") so I feel very good about the work that Billy did and would recommend him highly.

Description of Work: We called regarding replacing our sump pump, Ed came out that week replaced the pump and emergency pump $475.00while he was here I had him check our water heater which was leaking, he got back to us same day with quotes, and he was able to replace he water heater in about week. We will definitely call him for any future needs.

Description of Work: They made an appointment for the estimate, but never showed up, nor did they e-mail or call to reschedule or tell me why they didn't come.

Description of Work: Installed a master half bath. Waste and Vent for: -1 Water Closet -1 Lav Sink Water piping for: -1 Water Closet -1 Lav Sink - Upgrade the water main to 3/4" All plumbing to be done up to Massachusetts code All plumbing permits included
