+ 0 moreAfter looking at the job, Bill came back within 2 weeks, as he said, to start the job. He and his son, Michael, worked here 5 or more days. The wall is beautiful, rebuilt possibly to better than it was built 200 years ago! They used all the original stones and stones found on the property. Better yet, Bill will repair free of charge, should anything happen to it. I feel fortunate to find craftsmen like this who appreciate the old and natural and seemed to love the work!

+ 1 moreBill came out to give as estimate and quoted thousands of dollars less than other companies we'd spoken to. He was very knowledgeable about the issues involved and what would be needed to do the repair. He did not try to replace the wall with mortar and cinder-blocks with a rock facade. He started work the next day and finished quickly.
Description of Work: We have a number of field stone rock walls without mortar on our property. One wall separating our property from the neighbor's had collapsed and needed to be put back together. One wall needed a stone staircase added to it. One wall -- holding up our backyard -- was starting to bulge outward and needed to be repaired before it collapsed.
