They were very professional and took great care to be safe. Kirk came with several assistants and he did the actual tree cutting in a cherry picker. They had to bring the truck in through our neighbors yard (the tree is on their property) and they were very careful not to damage their property.

I found them on AL in 2008 and they have been one of the best finds for me using this service. I have used McKinney Brothers several times over the past few years to trim/prune back my trees etc. I have recommended them to several friends who experienced similar satisfaction. They were also very helpful in finding other good value/high quality tree sprayers and lawn specialists...

They came on time with 2 large trucks and about 5 guys and got straight to work. Work was completed in 30 minutes. The guys were very professional and job was done as I hoped/expected.

I got estimates from four other highly rated tree services. McKinney was the most prompt, professional and best estimate. They were willing to come off hours to give an estimate which was convenient for me. They arrived promptly at the time that was scheduled. They had to access my trees from both sides of the house. They did the work quickly and it was amazing to watch them cut large branches. They cleanup up the yard and blew all debris off the roof. When asked to cut extra things they did so with no question. The area they worked on is now opened up and does not feel so encroaching.

Kimberly called me back the same day I left a message and continued to be very prompt with every subsequent call. Kirk came to my house the same day I first called them to give me an estimate (in the rain). He took the time to look at the trees I knew I wanted to remove as well as answer some questions I had on a few other troublesome looking trees in the backyard. He gave me good advice on the care of those trees and did not suggest removing them. Once I chose them to complete the work, Kimberly again called me back promptly to discuss the appointment. Kirk called me on a Sunday to set up the appointment which ended up being the following Monday morning. He and his crew arrived at 7:30am, as promised, got right to work and were finished by 9am. During the work Kirk and his team worked quickly and efficiently to remove the four large trees. I was never worried about damage to my garage or to my neighbor's yard. When finished, they cleaned up the entire area, removing all debris and leaves. They also dragged a large amount of brush and branches from my backyard (remnants of DIY yard work) and chipped them up for me. Throughout, Kirk and his team were professional, friendly and very thorough. They were a great choice.

They did an excellent job. The came in with the lowest estimate. The came and went while I was at work. They trimmed the tree back more than expected. They made the tree still look natural. The cleaned up everything. It looked like they were never there. I would recommend them in the future.

The work was done efficiently and I was consulted several times about my desires. The project was heavily staffed and as a result the work went quickly, which reduced the length of the noise factor. The final bill was identical to the estimate.

They were very professional, always showing up when promised; they were responsive when we requested a couple additional branches be cut and the price was very reasonable. This is the second time we have used them and I can't recommend they highly enough.

It went well. The people did a thorough job cutting down lots of dead branches. Some of the branches I didn't even see were dead and cut down. They had a cherry-picker that was very long and was able to reach over the garage. Another landscaper gave an estimate, but said a tree had to be cut down in order to reach the trees behind the garage. And it would costs more as a result. McKinney Brothers did not need to do this and were able to reach the tree with their equipment. They were very nice and professional. Good people to use.

The bushes in front of our house were so overgrown you couldn't see the house from the street. Kirk and his crew came in an tore them out quickly and efficiently. Two of my neighbors were so pleased with the speed of their work, they asked Kirk if he could take out a tree and a bunch of bushes, respectively. McKinney Bros. did a wonderful job. I have already contracted them to do more work later this year.

Kurt came more an estimate within 2 days of my phone call. He told us when he would call to schedule the work, and he called at that time. We were very pleased with his professionalism, and he completed the work that we agreed on in about an hour. I highly recommend McKinney Bros. Tree Service.

Very well. Showed up for estimate on time on day they said they would show up. Within week of providing the estimate, scheduled date to do the work. Very reliable and noticed that workers used safety equipment. Very reasonable and very courteous personnel.

We had a large double trunked maple, of which one trunk was severely rotted near the base, and in danger of falling over. I called McKinney Brothers based on Angie's List feedback. Kirk was very responsive and punctual, coming out the next morning after my initial call. He gave me a quote for the one maple trunk, including additional trimming on some other trees, which were dropping branches on our driveway. Kirk and his crew showed up a couple weeks later on time, and performed the job while I was at work. When I got home, the tree had been cut, with no damage to the remaining trunk. Cleanup was outstanding, with not so much as sawdust remaining, and no ruts on the lawn from the heavy truck. Also, I haven't had any branches fall from the oak in the driveway. Overall, I thought the job was very reasonably priced, professionally done, and Kirk was very pleasant to deal with. If I have any other tree work done, I'll know who to call.

They did a great job, everything went as expected.

Very well. Day after the big storm went through Newton. Left a message on Sunday. They arrived first thing Monday. Have had work done by them before. They are great.

This is an excellent company for general tree work. They are easy to work with and move fast. At the time I used them they didn't do treatments (spraying, etc) just pruning and removal.

The job was pretty small for their standard. I have used their services three times now. They were fine and the price that they charged seemed reasonable. I would certainly use their services in the future too.

We like the tree service guy a lot. They also cut down our neighbor?s tree. The price that they charged was very reasonable. We are very happy with them and they are great. They are honest and are really nice people to work with. They do the service once a year. We highly recommend them. We would definitely use their services in the future too.

They were great; very prompt with each appointment and did a great job prning back many trees around our new house that had not been touched by the previous owners for years.

Very professional and knowledgeable, but very expensive compared to others

The company was very responsive and the experience was positive. The owner who came out to our house was very pleasant and informative. He would not work on the small tree in our front yard because it was not the right time of year to do so. He said he would call in December to schedule a follow up appt. for this particular tree and he did.
