Excellent professional service. They are experts and are really good at what they do. You will not be disappointed with them. They are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and get the job done quickly. I highly recommend them, great people.

I conducted a thorough search for a company to take care of numerous tree service items around the yard but was clear that I was going to do the work in piece meal. Kirk was quick to set up a time to come by, gave a estimate on the spot and was competitively priced. When we scheduled the work, the crew came on time, was fast and efficient. When the left the yard looked better (from the tree work) and was left clean and neat from their work. I plan on working with McKinney Brothers again for the remainder of work we need.

They were prompt, and the price was very reasonable.

I left a message requesting and an estimate for tree removal and Kirk called back later that day and came right over. We walked through the yard and looked at the four oak trees. He told me a little about the trees and that pruning would be the best thing for them. There was no need to cut them down. He looked at a few other trees and let me know what to expect going forward - one tree had a disease which would kill the tree in the next few years if not treated regularly. He told me he would call me the following week with a date. He called when he said he would and gave us a time later that week. We had a conflict with a car in our driveway and he came later in the day to accommodate us and avoid the car. His crew came and within one hour they cleaned up the oaks beautifully and removed all the debris including the little branches. I added pruning of a maple not initially on the quote and he took care of that too. He even removed a large TV antenna from my roof that has been an eyesore for years. He took me out to review the work and I was amazed at how much better everything looked. I was so pleased he didn't just give me a price to remove the trees. They add so much charm to the area and now we can enjoy them for years to come. I never write reviews. I chose McKinney Brothers because of all the wonderful reviews on Angie's List. I was so impressed by the entire process and the great results I had to write this review to make sure other people could benefit the way we have.

Price was 40% lower than other estimates, and they scheduled us very soon after my first call for an estimate. I was very confident that Brian knew his stuff.

I contacted McKinney Brothers after reading the numerous positive reviews here on Angie's List. They are a local company to my residence. Kirk came out to the house to check the health of a tree and to look at some very over-grown shrubbery. He gave me an estimate for the work I was interested in having completed. He also made some additional suggestions. I scheduled an appointment to have the work done. Kirk and his crew arrived at the time scheduled and went right to work after a brief review of the work to be completed. The crew started with the tree and had it down very quickly. They then went to work on removing the shrubbery. The entire job took just over an hour to complete. The crew also did a great job cleaning up the job site when they were done. I was very satisfied with the job and would use them again without hesitation. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a service of this kind.

The work went well, althought it as wet out and it was performed without drama and professionally. The only issue was with our neighbor on our other border. She was not at home at the time of the work and we did not notify her that the work was going to be done because we didn't think it would impact her property. As it happened, some small debris did land in her yard. She sent over a rather heated note complaining about the affair. I let Kirk McKinney know about the issue and he personally handled all of her complaints over the phone to the extent that she thanked me the next time I saw her over the fence in her yard.

They were prompt in responding emails, calls, visit to the property to set an estimate and doing the job.

Contacted via Angie's List email, received a response promptly. I phoned to ask for an estimate as we were in England but wanted to have the work done upon our return. Kirk went to the house in our absence and gave an estimate and availability. It was the best price and quickest response. Kirk and a crew of 7 men arrived on time. He told me it would be one-hour and it was to the nearest minute. Their efficiency was matched by the clean-up; it was hard to tell the yard had been full of workmen, and cleaner than when they arrived. We have had other tree-removal services in the last five years and McKinney Bros. were the best. When our other trees grow in ten years we hope Kirk and crew are still in business.

Very professional company, did what they said they would do at the time they promised. They always return phone calls and very easy to deal with on the phone. Never met the people in person thru the whole experience from the time I called them to the end of the job. They cut down a large maple tree located close the street and power lines, not a difficult job, very well done.

We are completely satisfied with the work that they did. Our property was left in excellent condition after they'd cleaned up. The workers were professional and Kirk was right there to supervise every move.

They did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves and the price was unbelievable. Other prices I got for the same job were higher. The guy was great in his professional advice and his execution. I am going to have him come back to do some more work.

They were wonderful and gave me an estimate which was right on. He couldn't get his large equipment in the yard so he had to go up the tree with ropes to cut limbs. It was very remarkable but did cost a lot of money. But it was what he said it was going to be. He did put a lot of hard work into it.

We had a tree that was damaged in the storm and was leaning towards our neighbor’s fence so we had to take it down. We also talked about some other work we wanted to have done in a future date and he was very reliable and reasonable. He sounded very knowledgeable so we will have him back. He did a great job and everything was up to expectation.

Contacted the company through Angie's list and got a call back from Kirk the same day. Most of the companies on Angie's list do not return calls on the same day so I was already impressed from the start. Scheduled an estimate and Kirk showed up on time and went through all the trees with me. He explained each type of tree and the pros and cons of trimming vs. removing them. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and white collar professional. The estimate ended up very, very reasonable. It was a no brainer, so I hired him to start work. I had to wait 2 weeks to start the work though, but based on the reviews here I'm not surprised the wait was that long. Kirk showed up on work day with a vast crew and 2 trucks. There were people all over the yard and got all the work done in 1.5 hrs. I was shocked how fast they completed the job and the number of people involved. They were like a SWAT team, swarming in and getting the job done quick. All kidding aside, their work was great and would hire Kirk again for future work without hesitation.

Their communication was outstanding as well. I was not an easy person to contact, but they consistently left messages, and never dropped the ball. They were 100% reliable and true to their word in everything they agreed to do. My friends in Wellesley gave me their names after their equally excellent experience--efficient, honest, courteous, tidy, professional, knowledgeable and reasonably priced! (They deserve to be placed in an A plus category).

They did an unbelievable job. I give them an A+. They were wonderful, absolutely wonderful.

Using Angie's List for the initial screen on tree removal companies, I had three different service providers come to the house and quote the work. McKinney's quote came in at the same level as one other company, and about half of the third firm. The real differentiator for me was that Kirk listened to my concerns about protecting my neighbor's yard, which would need to be traversed to get to our trees, and spoke knowingly and specifically about how it would be protected. Kirk's estimation process was quick and thorough, and he asked key questions about which trees were on our property to properly scope out the work. Although I was not home when the service was performed, my wife kept me updated that the crew was great, especially given the sensitivity of the tree hanging over our house, and not wanting to damage our neighbor's yard, which may have precluded the use of a cherry picker or heavy machinery. The crew took down our big oak by hand, with no damage to our house or to our neighbor's yard, which is truly amazing. A lot of know-how and great customer service, they will definitely be our go-to for tree service in the future.

Overall, this was one of the best experiences we've had with any contractor of any type.

From the first phone call to the very end,it was a great experience.Kimberly was very pleasant and professionl to me. Kirk called the next day and came out about 2 days later at the exact time he said he would for an estimate. He was the third estimate I received and liked that he knew right away what it would cost. $900.00 for hemlocks and $75.00 for pear tree. He was about the same as someone else but I liked that he had 6 to 7 men working and said it would take about 1 hour. He was correct. Everything was cleaned and taken away. I would definitely hire again and recommend to anyone.

At a time when there was sure to a high volume of requests, the call was answered and service provided very promptly. They were very courteous, came on time even on a day with horrid weather when I would have expected a cancellation. Performed work as expected, billed promptly at a competitive rate. I would very highly recommend and will use in future as needed.
