+ -1 moreCalled to get an estimate and received a call from McKinney Brothers by the end of the day. Kirk scheduled an appointment for a few days later where we discussed what I wanted and he explained in full what he would do as well as handed me a written estimate for the work. I had 3 overgrown trees pruned as well as row of pine trees trimmed. The work was estimated to be done within 2 1/2 weeks but was done within one week. At each step in the process I was called and made aware of their schedule and asked if it was okay to proceed. I wasn't home when the work was done but when I returned at the end of the day I was extremely happy that I used McKinney Brothers. The trees look great and everything was cleaned up and removed. Very professional company and I will use them every time I need tree service work.

+ -1 moreThese guys are fast. We have used their service twice now. Last year we needed trees removed and trimmed. They were so fast, so tidy and responsive, we called them last month when I needed a couple more trees removed. I'm seriously bummed that these guys don't also install trees. We called them first when we wanted evergreens put in. We had several trees put in, but now I need more limbs trimmed. Guess who I'm calling? McKinney Brothers every time. They arrive on time, make quick work of it, and remove every last twig from the yard. It's like the trees were never there. Excellent.

+ -1 moreKirk McKinney and team showed up on time and did a complete and efficient job of removing 8' evergreens, several low evergreens, burning bushes, rose bush --- all terribly overgrown and overwhelming. It was amazing that this job was done in about 15 minutes -- and without disturbing an irrigation system that ran thru the garden. They left the front of my home looking undisturbed and pristine. I would recommend without reservation.

They promptly returned my phone call and set up a date and time. They were on time and done in 1/2 hour. Everything went very well.

Provided an honest assessment of trees on our property and quoted us a very fair price to complete the work. All work was done in 30 minutes and it looks fantastic. The fastest money I've spent, but they were well worth it. I wish I had called them sooner!

+ -1 moreI called to schedule a consultation and got a weekend appointment. He arrived on time and gave me an estimate on the spot. The work included 4-5 trees that were hanging over our roof line. For a small fee, he also offered to reshape a smaller Dogwood in the front of our house. I got a call within a day or so to schedule the work. I was not home when the cut the trees, but it the work was completed by the time I got home. There was no mess left behind and the trees look good!
Description of Work: McKinney cut back a bunch of trees from our house to clear the roof area. They also pruned a smaller tree to give it a better shape.

+ -1 moreWe called looking for some help removing tree pieces from a contractor who did not quite complete the job. Although what we specifically wanted was not available (splitting cut wood) they were very helpful in giving me references to two other companies and explaining what type of company I needed. I appreciate their help since we had called another company who was patient but not able to help us and McKinney was able to nail it on the head the type of service we needed and even give us a name to call (who seems very nice and knowledgeable). Although we didn't use their services, I would call this company again since being helpful when you can't help is a good attribute.

Description of Work: Kirk was extremely professional, experienced, punctual and very reasonably priced. They removed a tree and skillfully cut back a number of branches away from my house and driveway. The work was performed in, my absence and I was amazed and very please to see how neat they left my property, driveway and the street. They performed exactly the work I needed to have done and very independently took charge of my requests. The work was done at the premesis on time as promised and 1 week after I met with Kirk for a free estimate. I am pleased to recommend Kirk and his company to anyone. Being an ardent Gardner for years and a very meticulous person I have no problem in giving McKinney Brothers Tree Services an "A+" for the work they performed. I intend to hire their services whenever I need to have tree service done to my property in the future. Thanks to Angies list for connecting me with Mckinney's.

They give estimates very quickly and the work they do is very good. They are much cheaper than some other people. The quotes that they give have been consistently lower. + -1 moreThese guys are kinda too good to be true! Kirk called me the day I requested help, came by, gave me a very reasonable estimate and brought his crew 2 days later. He even let my dog in so he wouldn't get out. Very thoughtful. Very professional. I wish they did more than just tree service because this is a company that has their stuff together!
Description of Work: Cut down broken branches, dead trees, trimmed tops of others, pruned, cleared away tree branches from the storm, tied back and reinforced arborvitae that were leaning over from all the snow.

On the day of the project, the crew arrived late due to issues with the equipment, but the office called that morning to let me know and this was completely reasonable. They worked efficiently and did an excellent job, such that several of my neighbors came out to have Kirk provide them with estimates. Overall a great experience and at a very affordable price (less than half of another quote I received from a very highly rated company on AL).
Description of Work: Tree removal (overgrown rhododendrons, hemlock, and several maples) from front and back yards, including a large hemolock next to the foundation.

+ -1 moreThis was an terrific experience for us and a pleasure to deal with this company. We would recommend them highly. In addition, the workmen that accompanied Kirk cleaned up the debris as he worked and left NO SIGNS that they had even been there. Again, a marvelous job!
Description of Work: This was the second time we have used McKinney Bros. Tree Service. As with the first time, they were responsive to our phone call and available at just the time that we needed them. Although slightly late due to unforseen circumstances, they did our tree work promptly and efficiently. Kirk, the tree surgeon, was agile enough to manage a very tall tree and trimmed and pruned it beautifully. We needed several large branches removed and we also learned the signs of when a tree must be trimmed of dead wood. We will DEFINITELY use McKinney Bros. again in the future for any tree work that we may need to be done. They are a real value and a company that seems to be well-run as well as being very trustworthy.

Description of Work: They did very good work; some basic tree maintenance including some branch removal and recommendations on a few other things.
