The work was talked through with us before begun, reviewed with us several times along the way, necessary changes to the original plan were discussed and explained before undertaken. The original bathroom dated back to the 1940's, and some of the details weren't up to the current code. B&B took out a building permit and worked with the various inspectors to bring the job within the current building code. Issues came up regarding vent ducting, piping and electrical which required modification, but cost increases were kept to a minimum. The tile work was difficult because of the high level of detail we wanted, but the job looks great. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. Bill Germaine was easy to work with, attentive to our needs and requests, careful about the disruption of our household while the work was underway, and kept costs well under control.

I did not use this contractor only bc a family member became available to do the work for me. He did respond quickly to my online request and came out within the week to see the work I needed. He was very nice and called me back with a price within a week, which I thought was a good time frame bc it was a big job.

WATER PIPE REPLACEMENT: Bill Germaine at B&B found an excellent contractor for us to do the excavation work and lay the pipe and arranged for a plumber to do the inside work. There was a minor problem with a connection after the installation that required the involvement of both the excavator and the plumber. I called Bill and he coordinated and kept on top of things to make sure the problem was fixed quickly and there have been no further problems. PAINTING: Because of the timing, two different subcontractors were involved in completing the painting. I was very pleased with their work. There had been damage to the front portico woodwork when we bought the house, apparently due to a poor job of scraping and prep for painting. I had thought I might have to replace the woodwork but B & B's painters did such a great job you are barely aware of the original damage. I also decided to have Bill's painting contractor paint the inside of my new sunroom. Joanne (the painting contractor) and Bill helped me select the stain and paint and I love the result. At one point they, though I didn't even notice a problem, they were not completely pleased with the work of one of the staff. The defects were minor but their commitment to doing an excellent job is such that they ensured they were fixed and checked back with me to ensure I was completely happy. The result is beautiful! FRONT PORTICO STEPS AND PLATFORM: B&B's subcontractors did a fabulous job at repairing and weatherizing our front portico steps. I can't believe how much better they look.

BIll Germaine stayed in close contact with me throughout the process. He even guided me on materials that would best compliment the room. I'm so happy I took his suggestions.

I am very pleased with the quality of B&B's work and B&B's contractor, Bill Germaine, has been a pleasure to work with. I decided to undertake major renovations to the house last fall. I wanted a building contractor that was well established, relatively local and had a track record for very good work at a fair price. The job was extensive, so I was also especially concerned to find a contractor who was responsive and willing to work with me to get the best value for my investment. I was attracted by B&B's reviews on Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau. Prior to signing the contract I met with Bill numerous times to discuss my needs, budget , etc. He identified options and helping me consider trade-offs to narrow in on a solution that best met my needs and budget. We signed the contract at the end of November. The first phase of the work (new roof) began a few weeks later. About the same time I discovered we had a leak on our property and we needed to replace the water pipe. I contacted Bill and he arranged for the excavator who was to do the footings for our back sunroom to do the work, helping us save some money in the process. The new water pipe is in. The roof has been installed. The front protico frame and roof are finished (pillars and trim to be added in the next stage). And the new concrete bulkhead has been installed. The second stage has begun, with demolition underway to remove the old clapboarding. We have run into a few unanticipated problems along the way (e.g. when we replaced the water pipe it triggered some internal plumbing problems.) In every case I contacted B&B and they were extremely responsive in getting the problem solved. Throughout the entire process the contractor has been great to work with--very customer-focused, consitently returning calls, regularly updating me on progress (or, if there is a delay, notifying me and explaining why) and responding to any questions or problems quickly. Bill regularly drops by the site to check on the work being done. I've found all of B&B's construction crew and sub-contractors are friendly, courteous, experienced and knowledgeable.

They were very good. I will use them again for doing couple of other things. I suggested them to my brother-in-law.

Excellent, Bill, Vinny, and Oscar were a pleasure to work with. We were extreemly happy with the expert craftmanship of all the work and impressed by the professionalism that the entire team displayed. Bill was extreemly easy to work with and collaborated with us to get us to our desired results on budget with-in our desired timeframe. Vinny was clearly a master carpetner and we are still amazed at the incredible finishing work he did on the trim and moldings throughout the Kitchen. We would highly recommend B&B for any major remodel project in the future.

The work started when promised and the whole thing took about 4 days. The carpenter was extremely professional, and did excellent work. He worked very quickly, and even went out of his way to avoid walking on the carpeting without being asked. The painter came on the 3rd day, and was finished the same day with the bedroom, and did a superb job. He even touched up some areas we had messed up when we tried to paint the bedroom the year before! When he arrived we figured out that we may as well ask him to do the exterior doors. That was easily added on to the job list, and ended up being thrown in for no additional charge! The owner popped by several times to make sure everything was going well, and stopped by afterward to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction.

Bill Germaine is a superior craftsman who is not pompous about it. His crew, especially Vincent, does the highest quality work I have ever seen, and I have had several contractors work for me. Bill negotiated price with the subcontractors to fit this project in to my budget. He beat the price of the six other contractors I interviewed. I had him do some smaller jobs first so I could see his work.

They explained what had to be done, answered all questions and kept me informed on when they would start. They did work over two days (which they said). The owner of business kept coming by to check on the progress. When it started to rain he sent extra people to help get the main part of the roof done. When it was all done the owner went around the house to check on the clean up. The owner returned phone calls and was willing to answer all questions. He even called for a follow up.

He gave us a competitive quote. Brought samples to choose materials. Asked for 50% deposit. Said he'd be back the following week to do the job. Arranged a dumpster, materials to be delivered. Showed up and did the job in one day and a few hours the next day. Great experience. Thoroughly cleaned up yard afterwards. Used high quality material and removed gutter guard product before replacing roof. Replaced gutter guard product after replacing roof.

They were moderately priced, did a superb job. They were clean and tidy, efficient, good workmanship.
