I had heard of this nursery before, but didn't feel it was "local enough" for me to check out what they offered in person before selecting a "closer by" nursery to contract my landscape project through. come to find out, my nursery had trouble providing the cultivar plants I wanted from their own stock...but they also seemed under-enthusiastic about sourcing said cultivars elsewhere. when it came time to get a particular variety of dogwood, I was told that I'd have to settle for something else because it just was not available. anyhow, I found it at Sylvan within the hour. but that isn't the end of the story...because a gentleman in Sales named Heath spent, not weeks, but months with me--back and forth with emails and phone calls and photos and quotes until he had quite a tight selection of things that could not otherwise be had from area nurseries. the arborists at Maltby tree service picked up, delivered and installed the plants here in Cambridge...this job was performed completely outside the landscape work I had contracted from the initial nursery and I am extremely satisfied. while I have yet to see how these trees and shrubs will winter over, I really felt compelled to remark on the quality of customer service I received here.
