concrete repair, stamped concrete
 + 0 moreot Please see above. We will be happy to speak to someone from Angle's list if you need more detail. We are pretty easy-going people, and we trusted Gene almost as a friend. We are very disappointed in our driveway and don't know what to do. I am not sure of the month the work was done but I will look further through our paperwork. The promise to redo it was made last year, just before Gene went to Portugal to be with his brother - in - law Juao.
Description of Work: Gene removed and replaced our driveway and constructed a small patio for us. He was dependable and friendly. However, when the glaze came off the concrete in places where there was no salt - he did not come back to repair as promised, even though this was the second time to replace it.The glaze came off just from water from the garage roof as well as in other places. He gave his promise (with witnesses) that he would come back, and do it over, as the glaze supplier would make good on the glaze. We have trusted this person, and yet he will not return our phone calls even though we said that if he could not do it himself, to at least tell us what we need to do. After spending all of that money, I feel as though it would have been better just to have put in a traditional blacktop driveway. The color is not the same as it was when first done. It had a two tone effec;, now it does not, and just looks blotchy. I hesitated to write this review but I gave given Gene a lot of room to correct this and he has not even responded. He did a great job on sealing our basement, but now I am wondering, if anything went wrong with that in the future - would he respond?

 + 2 moreThe job could NOT have been better from start to finish!! The owner, Gene was quick to reply to my phone call, and met me at my house for an estimate on time as promised. He outlined the job specifics from how he would take out the existing floor, to the prep for pouring the concrete, to the finish work. The job took two days, and Gene and his helper were on time both days. The taking out of the garage floor didn't disturb ANY surrounding structures, and was actually completed ahead of schedule. I really felt comfortable with the owner of the company present on the job, especially while the pouring of the concrete floor was taking place. The poured garage floor not only looked FANTASTIC upon completion, but the job Gene did resulted in a much stronger and more durable floor than what other contractors would have had done per their recommendations. The addition of recommended concrete strengthening components assure me many years of worry free use. The crew cleaned up the job site nicely, and Gene came back a third day to saw his "Cut Lines" as the finishing touch. Throughout the entire job, Gene answered all of my questions, and took the time to explain every step of the entire process. Overall I would give a A++!! He is a pleasure to do business with, and was honest and polite. I am now having GP Concrete Construction back to my home for another job... I wouldn't hesitate to use them for ALL of my concrete projects, and I would recommend to anyone wanting a fantastic concrete job done right!
Description of Work: Broke up and took out old garage floor, and poured a new one over compacted gravel. Added saw cut relief lines.
