New England Backyards

We hired New England Backyards to do a lot of work in our yard. We were hesitant to hire them based upon some of the reviews we saw online, but after seeing the quality of their work at our friend's homes, we realized that the person behind the reviews were not telling the truth. I don't understand why someone would post extremely negative reviews when the job was done and looked great. You can ask to see the photos from that project from the owner of the company. New England Backyards showed up on time, finished the job ahead of schedule and it looked amazing. I would hire them again if I need more work done.

We hired New England Backyards to install a rather large patio for us 50 x 40. Justin and his employees did an excellent job and took the time to make sure every last detail was perfect. We were impressed with his work ethic and skills, that we hired him to level the rest of the yard and spread loam so we could get it hydroseeded. Then I asked him if he could fix a really gross and falling down rock wall that leads to a pond with a water feature. It looks great! I don't understand the bad reviews for this company, because what the other person experienced is not what we experienced at all.

The person providing service to us named Justin Wagner claim to be the owner of the company. After research, he is not. the company New England Backyards does not legally exist. Through research and talking to the different towns this person has had on contracts we have signed this business does not exist. We have discovered that this business has changed names every time customers have fought back. We were promised that our project of creating a rock wall and garden, field stone walkway, and crushed rock to fill around and in side walkway and rock garden would be completed in 1 to 2 weeks. This begin in April 2016 and has yet to be completed. Many of these weeks, Justin Wagner did not show up for work. He would tell us he was working at our house over the phone not knowing we were in the house seeing he's not there. We were given many promises that he would be working the next day but he never showed up. The walkway that he created is disgusting. The walkway has rocks sticking up two and 3 inches causing our mail lady and UPS person to fall. Our stone wall which he created is crumbling because he used poor cement. He was supposed to put down a weed guard, charged us but didn't. We had a forest of weeds growing throughout the project towards the end of the summer. He used rocks he found around our house for the Stonewall and walk away but yet charged us for rocks. Originally we were to pay him half of the money and pay the rest at the end of the job. He would come begging every week and sometimes every day for deposits of $300 plus. Everything regarding the product that he provided to us is horrible. Justin at first said he would come back to fix everything but did not. Justin also promised refunds but when it came time to provide the funds he disappeared. he refuses to answer the phone and all of the addresses associated with the company are empty houses. We have been personally to his house to approach him about this but he was not home. We will be filing a court complaint and all of the towns that he claims to have the company. We will be joined by over eight different people who have had serious complaint about this company. The website provider that hosts this company's website has been alerted and will be taking down the company website. Please do not use Newenglandbackyards Info for this company is a very poor company. Not only did this company perform horribly and everything listed above, this company left our driveway and lawn damaged from the tractors they used and refused to fix. We have had other companies come and give us quotes of over $10000 to fix and complete job. Company lost a lawsuit we filed against them. Company found in default due to not paying judgment amount. Horrible company. Person who claims to be owner was constantly late. Over priced, begged for "cash installments" and had very poor communication. Over a dozen documented excuses as to why he didn't show up to work. A 1 week job turned into 3 month job and still not finished. He left us with an unsafe walkway, crumbling Rockwall which he created, missing items that we were billed for and refusal to come back. After saying he would give us a refund he disappeared. In taking his equipment off of our yard he ruined our driveway. We have filed a lawsuit against Justin Wagner and New England Backyards with District Court. If anyone has had any further dealings with him please contact us via Yahoo. We have already found over a dozen unsatisfied customers who were afraid to report him! He has negative Better Business Bureau reviews and complaints as well. Building inspector of the town of Westminster is writing up a notice saying that this company's work is not only poor but dangerous
