Excellent and by the book job (Taunton's for pros book "roofing with asphalt shingles"). Completed in one day with large hard working and professional crew. Very good cleanup and excellent follow-up on one small issue that came up. Mike accelerated the schedule and had his crew work Saturday to beat the forecasted snow. Everything from quoting, material and dumpster delivery, thru the intense one day of work in cold weather, to trash pickup was like a well oiled machine. i wish everything in life was as well orchestrated as this job was.

Even better than I expected. They arrived exactly when they said, moved very quickly through the job, presented me with every scrap of paperwork I needed for the energy star documentation, and left the place even cleaner than they found it. People were thoughtful, polite, and considerate. A superb professional job all around!

Thee guys were great. Started the job at 7:30 AM, finished at 12:30, and delivered quality work. Even their cleanup was impressive - although they did miss one staple - it landed on the air conditioner protruding from a second floor window.

We were very pleased with the company overall. The owner was always prompt and courteous. We feel he did a thorough job without overbuilding or overselling. Mike, the owner, was not present for the work itself, but the foreman was very competent and easy to work with. The supply company delivered one package of the wrong color shingles, which entailed stripping that part of the roof, ordering a new package, and starting over. The men saw the job through. The clean-up was thorough, although the shingle snafu left the workers cleaning up at dusk. This company came highly recommended from other clients and they lived up to expecations.

First estimate in. Convenient schedule very professional and clean project finished on time. Would highly recommend.

The estimate process was in depth and the written estimate included all the items I was concerned about. This was in stark contrast to other roofing companies that either left off many details or included upcharges to correct old roofing issues that weren't done well in the past. The quote was reasonable. The house is old (125 years) so there was an additional cost of installing plywood over the old boards (in poor condition). This news came as the job was underway. It was unfortunate for me, but necessary to do the job right. Express roofing uses a large crew so the roof was completed in one day. It was a 12 hour day, partially attributed to some materials being delivered late, and partially due to the complexity of the job. I was not able to be there for the last 3 hours, but the yard was clean and tidy when I looked it over the next morning. I did find a few small bits, but it was nothing in the grand scheme of things. I'm very glad I chose Express Roofing. My dealings with them were positive and professional. Not only were they were nice, they knew what they were doing. They used the proper materials and the correct installation procedures. There was no skimping or cutting corners.

A process we dreaded but unavoidable because the old roof was leaking went exceptionally well. A consultation with the company owner about what kind of roof was painless, an agreement about price was easy. The workers arrived on the day and at the time promised, early in the morning. The astonishing thing was how many of them arrived. Snow White had fewer helpers and hers couldn't have been more enthusiastic than these. They fanned out over the old roof like choreographed dancers, had it up and off in no time. By 3 PM the new roof was on both house and shed, the yard so tidy you'd never know they'd come. They were quiet, courteous, and at the risk of repetition, phenomenally well organized. It's embarrassing to be so late writing this, but at least we can testify now that the new roof has kept us safe and dry for sixteen months so far. It looks great, too.

Detailed estimates were provided. Team came on time. They were courteous and professional and did a very thorough and clean job.

The experience from beginning to end was very positive. The owner Mike Courtner came out a few days earlier than originally planned to take measurements. He also left us an informative package with GAF material descriptions, shingle samples, extensive reference list, proof of insurance and Authorized GAF installer proof. We received quotes from three other service providers, one local small contractor, a big box store, and Express Roofing. We received their quote in the mail a few days after Mike?s visit. Because of Express Roofing's stellar reviews on Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau, I was anticipating a higher cost than the other others. I was very happy to open the quote and see that their quote was actually less than bother of the other providers and included better materials. They also included a $500.00 discount incentive if we acted on the quote by a certain date. When applying this discount, the Express Roofing quote came out $2500,00 less than the big box store and $850.00 less than the smaller private contractor. I had a couple of questions regarding some work to be done and emailed Mike on a Sunday. He actually called me back a little later to answer my questions and to give me his cellphone number in case I had any other questions. Professionalism, excellent reviews, very competitive pricing, AND really good customer service, the decision was easy! On to the work, .. Mike indicated that he should be able to get to us in a couple of weeks, which was great. He called the following day and indicated that he would have his crew out the next day. From two weeks to two days, nice! He has large crews who are very experienced and work well as a team. The Foreman Danny, and his backup Tony were both very professional and friendly as were the crew. They work fast. If we didn't have so much roof decking to replace, they probably would have been done in 1/2 a day. They do very good work and pay a lot of attention to detail. The roof looks great! The ground area around house looks better and cleaner now than it did before they came. Except for one small section of caulking that they ran out of materials for late in the day, the crew finished in one day. Danny came out the nest day to wrap that piece up. Express Roofing does it right and could certainly serve as a model for other contractor type businesses, any business for that matter. Kudos to Mike Courtner and Express Roofing.

The owner was very professional. The foreman was very easy to deal with. They also did the lead work around the chimney which turned out very nicely. They did triple ice and water shield, and they also repaired some metal flashing trim that was in the back addition to the roof and soffit job. They also repaired a little bit of siding. I had them put in the soffit vent as well. I would recommend them, however soffit vent work is not something they specialize in. I had to have them redo a couple areas of that work, which they were more than happy to do. They wanted me to be completely satisfied, which I was. Their price was competitive with other roofing companies. Their original quote was 1000-2000 less than the next company. The job was done quickly, within one day. The cleanup was very good. I called him and spoke with his answering service, he returned my call within about an hour.

Great experience overall. The owner, Mike, returned my calls always within 1 day, and offered advice about what was necessary vs what wasn't. He was patient and answered all my questions. He told us how to install soffit vents, and encouraged us to do it ourselves rather than pay him to. He also gave advice on picking a roof color that would be complimentary to any future color we may put on the siding. From estimate to completion was 2.5 weeks. The delivery arrived at 5:45 a.m. - be prepared for an early visit! The crew arrived about an hour later and as soon as the foreman, Danny, was onsite, there was lots of activity. There were at least 8 guys onsite, working efficiently. The company does only residential roofs, and it's obvious they have a good system. Guys moved or protected the grill, the plants and the birdfeeder and put them back when they were done. Roofed was stripped by 9:30 a.m. and the whole job wrapped up by 1 pm or so. Great clean-up - haven't seen any nails and found only 2 small pieces of shingles. It's helpful to the crew if you have an outdoor outlet or access to one in the garage. Plan to move your car(s) from the driveway to the garage or the street before the delivery arrives. This was one of the better home improvement experiences.

It went very good. He came out and sent me a whole packet of information in the mail. He was very prompt and even came back out to the house to help me visualize because I wasn't sure what I wanted. He was able to help me figure out what color shingle would be best. They did the work all in one day. So far, so good. The man who ran the job, I don't remember his name, was wonderful and absolutely outstanding! I couldn't be more pleased.

They were lowest price based on specifications they did the best work. They were able to get the work done in one day as they had about 16 workers there. I was very happy with the work they did.

From start to finish, Express Roofing did a fantastic job. Mike Cortner is extremely professional and follows up immediately with all relevant proposal information. Within two weeks his team of builders was at my home and completed my roof in under 5 hours! They were all very precise and hard working and never stopped once for a break. They were very careful with all the trees and plants surrounding the house, and the cleanup after the job was meticulous (they even raked some of the leaves in my yard!). The roof looks beautiful. The workmanship was absolutely fantastic, and I am extremely happy with the job that they did for us. I would definitely recommend them to my friends, neighbors, and family members.

The owner, Mike was very impressive. He contacted me the same day I sent an email inquiry and came by the house the following day to take measurements and leave an information packet. His packet contained sample roof shingles, a brochure showing finished roofs using the different shingles, his contractor license, BBB certification and at least 3 pages of referrals. He and his crew accomplished the task in a day. They moved my deck/patio furniture out of the way, draped the greenery to protect it and left no debris behind. Mike originally planned to do the job the week after Columbus Day weekend (because the weather was creating scheduling problems) but called us on Friday morning to say the weather reports for the following day, Saturday were good and could he do it the job then. I way away for the weekend but agreed this would work for us. My neighbors said that there were at least 15 people working on the job and that everything progressed impressively. When I returned on Sunday night, the job was finished with the only evidence that anyone had been there was the dumpster and a beautiful new roof. The dumpster company came early morning, Monday Columbus Day and removed it. It was the most effortless home project we have accomplished to date and I would highly recommend (and have) Express Roofing.

The guy who came out was very professional. I liked the samples that he dropped off so that we could decide what shingles we wanted to use, because they showed us the differences. He gave us a web site to go to and we appreciated that. They showed up right when they said that they would. I was impressed with the crew who came out to do the work. I was amazed with how quickly they got everything done and how quickly they cleaned up after themselves. They did excellent quality work. When I called they always got back to our voicemail right away. I felt that the price for the work was very fair. I would use them again in the future.

Express Roofing was the 5th company I called to replace the roof on our newly purchased home. The old roof was 20 years old and had many issues. Mike was very prompt and he came right out to give me an estimate. Of all the company?s I got estimates from, he gave me the best, most professional estimate, with the best warranty, but the thing that sold me was his list of satisfied customers. The crew showed up at 6:30am and began removing the old roof by 7:00am. They came with exactly the right mix of craftsmanship and very dedicated workers. 15 or so workers stripped the old shingles, inspected every inch o f roof for damage re-flashed and installed 6? of weather shield, and a very heavy tar paper all before lunch. We had the new Timber line Lifetime shingles installed and I must say they look great. The entire job was completed before the end of the day, 45sq yards or so of roofing. I was most impressed with their care for our plantings and home. They removed 4 sky lights and installed 2 new ones and covered over the old holes. They took the time to tarp the inside of my home where the rubble would fall, and they cleaned later. I was most impressed with the skills of their crew, they worked like a very well oiled machine, and nothing missed their attention. They put weather shield on the entire roof and side walls of a dormer style addition, and replaced all damaged trim boards with new never rot trim boards. The best thing was the clean up, they swept the entire lawn, bushes and driveway for nails with a magnet, and left it cleaner than before they came. I was very nervous about roofing, I had a bad experience on my last home, with leaks which could not be found, and saw extensive damage from ice dams on my brother?s home due to improper installation of a new roof on a dormer. I wanted to make sure I went with an experienced roofer. I was not disappointed. What a great job.

Mike was courteous and patient in explaining our options. He came out to the house personally and went up on the roof himself. He came across as sincere and practical. HIs estimate was a little higher than other bids we had received, but his was very specific. The crew did the whole job in about five hours. They were cheerful, hard working, and cleaned up thoroughly. A hose slid off the roof and the nozzle broke a pane in a dining room window. Danny, the crew manager, was apologetic and refused our check until their glass man could get out to make the repair (the next business day). We would definitely use this company again.

I found Express Roofing from Angieslist. Also got a quote from another company. The quote from Express Roofing was slightly less. Mike and his crew came 6:30am in the morning, finished the work by 11:30am. That is very impressive. They did a great job and left the job site very clean. I?m very pleased with this company?s work and would recommend them to anybody.

Based on Angie's List "premo" rating, contacted at websit and submitted RFQ. Proprietor, Mike Cortner, contacted me the next day to review details, arrange inspection, and to get quote to me within a week, Next day, before I had arisen, he inspected the job, and left a big package of GAF literature, including roofing color swatches, and 13 pages of references. I received the formal proposal by mail 2 days later (5/29/09). I was impressed by its completness, including contingency variables for costs of replacing necessary roof board footage and or plywood sheeting. Mike offered a $500 discount for my acceptance by 6/3/09; I signed, scanned and e-mailed the documents to him on 5/31/09. He replied 6/3/09 that he would get to me in June - gutsy, considering how wet and variable the weather had been - and would continue to be. I was notified on 6/24 that we would be done the next day, starting 11 AM-1 PM, forcast to be clear/sunny 'til nite-time with T-storms possible. A precision operation: A pallet of roofing supplies was delivered in the early AM About noon, a dumpster was properly set in the driveway; after I was told that it wouldn't be picked up 'till next day, and did wish to have my van available in the meantime -I did. It was after 2 PM that the 10 man-crew finished lunch and got to it. The foreman, D.G., intro'd himself, invited my inquiries, and promised to stay in-touch as the job progressed. - 48' of roof board + 1 sheet plywood to do it up right = $252 Is there any other way? Me and the wife had long enjoyed our dinner, but their work went on, 'till long after 8 PM. After they left, only a greatly improved look to our house was left...well, also the lawn sign and dumpster. The dumpster was picked up early the next morning...and ya know, I'm in no hurry to take down the lawn sign.

In a word, impressive. Mike from Express Roofing was responsive and prompt in setting up an appointment. During the appointment, he was extraordinarily knowledgeable as he had been in the business for twenty four years. He gave me the in's and out's of my roof as well as the business in general. He offered candid, honest advice and did not attempt to oversell me on products and services I did not require at the time. How truly refreshing! Ultimately, he was forthcoming regarding my roof's ability to likely withstand the damage I had inflicted on it and gave me the options regarding replacement. I appreciated his honesty, professionalism, and candor. He asked for nothing in return and left with a smile. This was by far the best service call from any vendor I have ever experienced - so much so, I'm immediately posting my report.

I called to arrange for an estimate and the owner of the company (Michael Cortner) came out on a Saturday to see the job. He arrived exactly on time. He was very professional and it was clear that his business model is to do the job right the first time. I got two quotations. The quote from Express Roofing was slightly less. Once I scheduled the job, they came when they said they would, they got the job done in under a day and they cleaned up the yard very well. It had rained a few times since then with no problems. I am a "hard" grader and I was very pleased. I have already recommended them to personal friends.

Great! I had roofers recommended to me who couldn't be bothered to call back or never showed up when promised to look over the job.

200 year old farmhouse that had three layers of shingles, the newest layer being installed 1960ish. The roof leaked all the time on the three season porch, and along the dormers. I called Mike on a Saturday for an estimate and he scheduled a visit that afternoon. He came and took a look at the blistered, cracked and missing shingles. After agreeing to the estimate, we scheduled the work to be done while on vacation. When we returned home, we coudn't have been happier. I couldn't have been more pleased with the quality. They removed siding to replace the old wall flashings, replaced only a few feet of roof boards, replaced a rotten fascia and saved the aluminum roofing along the porch. We only found 1 nail. The yard looked better after they did the roof, and the house looked great. With the snow, ice and rain, we haven't had a drip. It's probably the driest the house has been in 30 years.
