It went great. He turned it around in less than a week. Others were saying 30 to 60 days to repair. The price was excellent. I highly recommend him.

It went great. Dave was very easy to work with and his work was excellent. Both pieces look new and we are very pleased. The job did take a little longer than he originally anticipated but he clearly explained why there would be a delay-- he had to sand more than he thought he would. It was not an issue as he felt that was what needed to be done to do the job the right way, and we agreed. He did the work right at our house which was very convenient for us. We would definitely recommend him and his work!

the repair looks great. If you get on hands and knees and look closely you can see the repair lines but when standing up you would never know. Splits repaired, main support reinforced.

Excellent. Dave was very professional and did an excellent job. He explained to me what happened and what he would be doing. Fixing the frame on the couch turned out to be a bigger job than either one of us expected but Dave made sure it was done correctly. Once completed he talked to me about how to prevent it from happening again. It is nice to find a person takes the time to explain the situation and the care to make sure it is done right. He saved me a lot of money by not having to buy a new couch.

Dave responded to my inquiry right away. When he came to my house to do the repair, he was friendly, professional, and charged me less than the quoted estimate. Other repair services quoted me five times the amount of Dave's quote. I felt that he was so honest and I would highly recommend him.

He got the repairs done faster than his estimate.

The chairs are fully functional again. One of the repairs is a bit more noticeable than I had hoped (exposed screw head) but it's not in an area that is looked at often.

After receiving quotes from two people who advertised on a website, one of whom failed to show up and one who's quote was unreasonable, I found Dave. I made an appointment to have him look at the piece. He examined it, explained to me clearly what had to be done and gave me an estimate. I left it, and shortly thereafter Dave called to let me know it was ready for exactly what he estimated. Not only did he do a great job, but he is one of the nicest people with whom I've ever had the pleasure of doing business. He also has a beautiful furniture store which will be my first stop for my future furniture needs.

Dave did an excellent job on this repair -- I almost feel as if the leg on the chair is actually stronger than it was before it broke and the repair is completely hidden and the chair is like new. Dave is extremely personable and professional and he completed the repair in a iittle over an hour after he received the chair. His price was very reasonable and we are extremely happy with the result.

The leather from one arm had ripped at the seam. To save time and money, Dave used tacks rather than sewing it. The hand mechanism to raise the leg cushion was not functioning. One of the bolts had loosened or snapped and was no where to be found. Dave had a bolt in his toolbox that fit and the chair can now be used without lifting by hand.

Did a very good job; went out of his way to do it right; was flexible about doing the work in the house vs. in his shop. He picked up the tables himself. Did all he could do to make the cost reasonable. We found Dave on Angie s List, but, coincidentally, he's part of Donahue's Furniture where we've bought several pieces of furniture over the years.

Repairs not beautiful but chairs function. Good value for the price

I called Dave to see if he could repair my chairs as an IN- HOME REPAIR IN THE CAMBRIDGE AREA. Even though it was the Holidays he got right back to me. I sent in photos and he was able to bring all his equipment, discern the problem and fix the wing chair in a few hours. The work was done in theearly evening, so if you have an in home repair and work , he can fit you in after work! Pleasant person KNOWS HIS STUFF/Excellent repair of sofa and wing chair. I was extremely satisfied with the response and the care he took of the table. He asked if there were any deadline. I said no. I would say it took about 4-5 weeks for him to finish the table and chairs. My concern was that it be done well and that concern was met.

Unfortunately, due to my being ill for a long time, the furniture was not stored for 2 winters and suffered from exposure to the rain, sun, snow, and pollen. It was expensive furniture and looked like something that was removed from a shipwreck. After speaking with Dave and sending some photos, he picked up the set and began the process of restoration. He had sent me an outline of several methods of completing the work and we agreed on the most labor intensive process. Dave estimated a 3 or 4 week turnaround and kept it short of the 4 weeks. During the restoration, he al so took the time to fix one of the chairs that had broken slats due to the weight of snow in 2013. Healso kept in touch and updated me on the progress by calling, sending eMails and eMailing photos. I was totally pleased with both his efforts and results. We have some tables which were purchased at the beginning of our marriage (44 years ago) that could some TLC and, if we decide to keep that into our retirement, I will certainly call Dave to re-finish them, Thanks Dave for you excellent work and great customer service,

Dave came to my home three times. He came on time and gave me estimates. His price is not the best but reasonable. I paid as what we agreed no extra charge. He was very friendly, explained in detail about how he is going to fix the panels. He did a good job matching the color of other cabnit doors so I can't tell the difference which one was repainted which one was not. He was also responsive to my emails. Dave responded promptly to my inquiry to repair and refinish a hutch, dining room table and bureaus. He came to our home at no charge, offered sensible advice and demonstrated strong expertise. Appreciate his honesty and prioritizing what would give us the most value. This included him advising not to repair a leather chair due to it being too damaged. He was clear in what was and wasn't possible so we wouldn't be disappointed. As in other reviews he was wonderful with our pets too. While the work is not yet done, we look forward to him doing so soon. Based on our initial meeting I'd definitely recommend him to my friends. I called Dave and left a message, which he promptly returned. We scheduled an appointment for him to look at my loveseat, which, after 25 years of extensive use, has been sagging. My goal was to extend its life a little longer, without investing a lot of money. Dave opened up the underside and saw areas where additional foam padding could be added to provide more support. He also advised how I could inexpensively do more on my own. He added the padding and cleaned up. I loved that the work took only about an hour, and it was done in my home. Convenient, quick, and inexpensive. Dave was prompt, professional, and very pleasant. He was also patient with my two dogs.

Dave refinished our dining room table, full size bed with draws, coffee table, and end tables. end tables were water damaged. Dave did a great job, has a great work ethic, delivers what he says he is going to deliver. Prices are reasonable, actually, I think he should charge more tor the great work he does. We are very happy with our furniture.
