Mr. D'Ambrosio Sr. himself responded quickly to my email and set up an appointment within a week. I showed him the backyard space where currently there were 2 haloogen lights which lit up the deck and backyard in front of the lights (they are stationary) I walked him over to a second patio to the right of the deck and said, "My goal is to illuminate this area, as those two lights do not effectively do so" I was willing to have him install a whole new light near that area. His suggestion was to replace the current halogen light with a double spotlight, aimed at the smaller patio. I asked if that remedy would be enough to project onto the patio, as I really wanted it lit and didn't mind paying for a new light fixture and wiring. He assured me it would be fine, "No need to put another hole into your house" -- I agree-- sounded good not to pay extra or have a new hole-- however-- as I said, the GOAL was to illuminate the area. He came by within 1 week and installed the fixture. It was not enough to light the area-- after calling him and asking for him to come by at night to see how little it lit up, he suggested a larger light bulb, telling me it would not be energy efficient, but would light the area-- so I had him bring the bulb by and it lights the area up more, but again, not DIRECTLY aimed at the patio. All in all the price was right for what he did, he was punctual and responsive, but I would not trust him to provide guidance for a larger project in the future.

Mr D'Ambrosio was prompt, friendly and professional. He went out of his way to ensure that the job was completed quickly. I recommend him without reservation.

Great, Carmine and his son, Bill, just showed up, reviewed the job, and got to work. Made great recommendations, obvious that they had been doing this for YEARS!! VERY HAPPY!!

He ended up taking more time than the deal stated, but they had to work more than the original alotted time. They did a great job.

The work went perfectly. I was pleased with the inventiveness in installing the lighting in the attic and bedroom closets. No other quote I received made an effort to do the job in a way that took into account a wiring approach that considered possible future additional electrical work I might do simply. The way the lighting was installed in the closets and attic was done in such an efficient and robust way that it now makes it possible future improvements with the better wiring design used by D'Ambrosio. Also the crew of three worked very efficiently getting the job done in 2 days with little time for breaks. After it was finished I had some concern for the outlet in the garage when I plugged in an 18 year old refrigerator, and they came out to the house in less than 24 hours and replaced the outlett. In talking to them when they arrived, the problem was more likely an issue with the old refrigerator and not the outlet, as the outlet they origiinally installed, being the latest available, was sentitive to a problem probably with the old refrigerator which I had replaced two weeks ago and was not keeping.

We woke up Saturday morning to find out dishwasher had blown the breaker. When we reset it and tried to restart the dishwasher there were sparks under the sink. Calling electricians on a Saturday morning, we weren't expecting much, but D'Ambrosio called us back in less than 30 minutes and the wiring was repaired before lunch time. We were very pleased.

I like them a lot. He gave me a good price. It is an older gentleman and he knows what he is doing. He came up better than what I expected on the price. He was awesome regarding the clean up.

Excellent. I've since spoken with a neighbor who also used them and they thought they were excellent as well.

Carmine has done two jobs for us now - setting up the electrical supply for our new A/C unit as well for 2 bathroom fans we had installed. He is very responsive, caring and does great work. I was impressed with how quickly he responded to my short notice request and did great work. I recently called him with another electrical issue and he was kind enough to walk me through it and get it resolved without even coming to the house. His pricing was very fair and he is very reliable.

Overall, everything fell into place and went great!

Fine. Very good experience. The list customers need to be fitted in but he is more then willing to try to accommodate. He gave great advice and was willing to come back a second time to accommodate our needs.

These guys were excellent. They were punctual and flexible. They installed 5 ceiling lights in our kitchen and it came out great. They had suggestions for types and placement of lights and we are very pleased with our 'new' kitchen.

It was like pulling teeth to get them to the house. I took the offer because I need an outlet quickly. He said he was too busy. I call several times and could not reach a person. Finally, we had a short in the house and I begged him to come out. Apparently, his son came out and was very polite and fix our problem. I'm not an electrician, but I believe he did a good job.

I used this company through one of the Angie's List Big Deals. They were helpful and tolerant with my scheduling and did everything possible to accommodate. The person arrived on time, explained things and answered my questions and did a wonderful job. They even advised me as to what parts to buy in advance so that I could save even more. I made an effort to be ready for them when they came (moved everything away from the work areas and had a clear idea of what needed to be done) so the whole thing went off just like clockwork. My experience was very good and I recommend D'ambrosio Electric highly for any electrical job you may have.

I bought this service as an Angie's list "deal" and was very happy with the service. I had eight sets of old two prong electric outlets changed over to three prongs, with the ground. (yes, these were old) The work was done both quickly and well, and D’ambrosio was very flexible with the hours to arrive and do the work. Also I believe that the parts that were used, and I was charged for, had no or very little mark-up from what I would have paid if I had taken the time to buy them online or at a hardware store.

Carmine came to my home and recommended that I buy the materials and he would come back. I liked him a lot and thought he was honest and straightforward. Unfortunately, when I called back to schedule another time, I got his son and our signals got mixed. My phone was out of order and I did not know that Carmine was trying to call back to confirm the appointment. When I called a month later to make another appointment, Carmine told me how frustrated he was that he could not get in touch and that now he was too busy to do my work. (I think he was just angry with me. I understand his frustration but I wish he had given me the benefit of the doubt. Another "coupon" wasted.

Very happy with Carmine and D'Ambrosio in general, unfortunately was unable to use their services due to a change in our plans. Carmine was very patient through it all.

I found him through an Angie’s List deal and he was superb. He fixed things that someone before him had messed up. I didn’t even know they had messed it up. I thought I had to buy two new fixtures plus a big overhead fan. It turned out the other guy had just messed it up and this man just fixed everything. He’s an older man who is a master electrician and he was terrific. With the garbage disposal, he figured out that the new garbage disposal was drawing more power than the old one. The circuit breaker that it was hooked to was not large enough. I simply have to use it when I don’t use the dishwasher; it’s no big deal. It seems so obvious now. He was very competent and an excellent problem-solver. His price was very reasonable. I don’t think I asked him what his price was and I was pleased with it. He charged $150 to do a lot of things; I thought that was a good price.

I called and said I needed service soon. He made an appointment within a week and was prompt. He discussed the work he would perform and then went to work. He cleaned up everything before he left. Mr. D'Ambrosio has done an excellent job for me twice now. Both times he has come quickly and on time. His work is very high quality and he is efficient. His prices are also very good and he cleans up thoroughly at the end of the job. I highly recommend him for electrical work.

W e used the $99-for-two-hours "Big Deal." Initial contact was with the father, who wasn't that easy to deal with. When we described what we wanted done, he told us we would need to buy a lot of parts and some of the work might not be done. He also scheduled the appointment at a different time that we had agreed on, so the electrcian, his son, didn't come at the right time--not his fault at all.When we finally got this straightened out, the son was extremely courteous, punctual and professional. In about an hour and forty five minutes, he installed three outlets (hardware we bought on our own), replaced our old 1950s thermostat with an electronic thermostat (again, one we bought ahead of time), and removed and replaced a basement pull-chord light fixture--he provided the fixture himself even though his father said we've had to find it ourself--we tried and couldn't find one anywhere. Lastly, he tried to diagnose a problem with basement light fixture that was no longer working. He couldn't fix it because although there was power at the switch, somewhere along the line power wasn't getting to the fixture. To fix it he said he would need to remove the drop ceiling, and instead smartly suggested simply replacing the whole fixture and running a new line to the junction box. We haven't done that, but we were glad he gave us the idea. Overall, for $99 it was a great value. If you deal with them, you might want to try talking directly to the son, or at least making sure the father fully understands what you want done.
