Carmine has been to our house several times over the past two years to perform various electrical work. And my wife and I have had nothing but a positive experience. Carmine returns calls, is on-time, and we absolutely trust his judgement. Honestly, it's like having a family member in the business. We only wish we could find a plumber who we could trust as much.

Carmine and his son Bill are first rate. In addition to the work described above, they added a couple of outside outlets that they thought we needed at no extra charge, having noticed a couple of extension cords snaking their way through windows and mail slots. The work was done on time, in coordination with the A/C company (Central Cooling & Heating) who hired D'Ambrosio for their wiring and recommended them for our service upgrade. I am very please with their work.

We had an extremely positive experience working with Bill from D'Ambrosio Electric. From the first (free!) estimate, we were very impressed with Bill's knowledge and professionalism. One selling point for us was that Bill paid close attention to our pets, making us feel comfortable leaving for the day while he worked, sure that they would be safe. After our initial estimate, we took some time to pick out our desired fixtures. Almost immediately upon contacting Bill again, he arranged to work very quickly. The work done was very careful and clean. It was also very quiet; a guest staying in our house had no idea that work was being done for most of the day. There were some initial issues in terms of communicating what exactly we wanted. This was our first project in our house, and we're still learning how to describe what we want and ask for it specifically. This included some issues with what lights were on which switches in the kitchen. After the first day of work, we saw what Bill had done, and realized that we had wanted something else. However, Bill was extremely accommodating and made the necessary changes without any hesitation. We were ultimately very pleased to have the work done and would absolutely recommend Bill and D'Ambrosio electric to anyone looking for high-quality work done in their home.

First of all I have a very busy household with 2 children as well as 2 dogs and cats, Carmine and Billy were excellent handling that situation being both calm and cooperative. There were six recess lights installed in my living room and four in the kitchen. The work was done meticulously. All trash was taken away and the job was completed extremely professionally. They arrived online and did a wonderful job! I would highly recommend their services.

I have been struggling with determining the issue with a new DIY light fixture install over the past couple weeks. Finally I decided to call up a professional. I contacted him the night before the service, and he was at my door the very next morning. He came prepared with the right tools and extra switches/outlets in case I needed any replacements (which I did). Very professional and completed the service call in under an hour. Would definitely recommend and use again.

The electricians were professional, punctual and personable. We were very happy with the service we received when they came out to give us an estimate and thoroughly explained what they planned to do. Then, when they came to do the work, the job was well done. I was kept informed throughout the process as to what they were doing and I was asked what outlets and appliances I would like functional in the event we need to use the generator during a power outage so the electricians could plan accordingly. The job was done in a very timely manner and for a reasonable cost. I would recommend D'Ambrosio Electric Inc. to anyone who needs electrical work done at their home.

They very professional. They came the day we called to give us an estimate. They got the proposal to us the next day. We scheduled the job for the following Friday. They were on time and were very nice. They finished the job in two hours.

As a result of a botched DIY attempt to replace a ceiling light fixture, the circuits that delivered electricity to two rooms in my home were blown out in the middle of a major blizzard.. It was 7:15 on a Sunday night and I called Carmen from D'Ambrosio Electric - He answered from the road, assured me that I had not caused an immediate safety issue and tried to talk me through resetting the circuits. More damage had been done than could be handled over the phone, so he checked to make sure that I had heat and that my refrigerator was working and said that his colleague would be by as early as possible on Monday morning. They arrived by 9 a.m. - with the storm still in full force -, and fixed the problem quickly. They were responsive, efficient and professional. I was so impressed that I made an appointment for them to return to replace the ceiling light/air vent in two bathrooms and to install a kitchen ceiling fixture.

Bill came out and installed an outlet. He had to drop a new line and did not charge additional for the part. He completed thee job un just under 2 hours. He was very knowledgeable. He was professional, courteous and cleaned up after himself. We used them for some subsequent work to install an oven .I had no problem scheduling the deal but it was difficult to reach them the second time. It took a while to get the second service scheduled. They are not the cheapest but their pricing is reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

With a day before Christmas Eve and 30 degree weather outside, the source of my home's heat, the furnace, would not turn on when I toggled its power switch. I became seriously concerned that I'd be without heat during the holidays. Found this company on Angie's List, Bill stopped by the same day with short notice and fixed the switch that wasn't powering the furnace, and now I have heat. What more can I ask for?

We first had Carmine come by to check out our electrical system and give us a quote for the work. Carmine was a very friendly and informative guy so we decided to hire him. Carmine was good about setting up a date to start, and he and his son worked well beyond when they had planned to pack it in for the day in order to get most of the job done. When I got home from work Carmine was happy to go over the work they had done. The next day they came back to finish up. A day or two later the inspector came by to give everything the OK. There were only two minor issues with the work. Apparently Reading Municipal Light wants to be the ones to tie new lines into the service so that they can put on certain clips but Carmine had connected our new service line (this is what the inspector told us). However, RML just came by at a later date when we weren't home to put the clamps on and we didn't have any issues with service. Also, the labeling of the circuit breakers in our new box seemed to be hastily done. We ended up going through ourselves to give more detailed descriptions. We consider those two things to be minor and we were very pleased with the work overall. We would use him again in the future.

We were having electric issues with dimming lights, appliances (Stove & Dryer), computer, etc., turning off randomly which had recently gotten much worse. Within an hour and still before 8:00 AM the day before Thanksgiving, Bill from D'Ambrosio called my cell and said that he could come by later that day to diagnose the problem. He said that it sounded like it could be a loose connection in the electrical box or outside the house. Before we hung up, Bill suggested I call the power company and ask them to check the line in from the street because that could be causing the problems. He said he would call me later in the day to check in before he came. I called National Grid as suggested and they came out within a few hours. Turned out that my problems were originating with a faulty line in from the street which National Grid promptly fixed at no charge to me. When Bill called me later that day I informed him that our electric service was back to normal and that I would not need his "billable" services this day. Even though D'Ambrosio electric didn't have a billable service call from me, I feel the service, advice and quick response time was excellent to say the least. I told Bill that I was very happy with his service, advise and rapid response and that my experience was so positive with D'Ambrosio that I would like them to come by and give us a quote to install some recessed lighting in our Kitchen in the near future. Did a great job -- diagnosed the problems and fixed them efficiently. Also looked around and saw some safety issues that he was able to correct. Great guy and would highly recommend him.

I can't express how happy I am w/Carmine, his son Billy and his helper Will. Carmine is a true gentleman, honest, conscientious and truly concerned for his customers safety and giving them a fair price on quality work and products. He does not use inferior products or try to "up sell" you to things you don't need or want and gave me different options w/different prices and gave me the pros and cons to each without trying to push me into either one. Carmine let me decide what I wanted done and there was no pressure. I ended up paying exactly what he had quoted me. No surprises. All this quality workmanship.....and for a LOT less than the other 2 quotes. Carmine's response to my inquiry for a quote was prompt as was his onsite visit and his estimate was ready in the time he said it would be, which was only a couple days. His son and helper arrived on time, ready to roll and protected my home from any dust or damage. They were sooooo easy to deal with, clean, courteous, friendly and really knew their stuff. I usually feel very uneasy dealing with contractors but these guys were so open and friendly that I wasn't afraid to ask any questions about the work they were doing as questions came up. While working, Billy and Will were quiet, all business and worked very hard w/no breaks, except to gulp down a sandwich @ lunchtime. Carmine, Billy and Will were all so clean, well groomed and had a very professional appearance which I like. (I've had trades people in my home who arrived like they hadn't showered in days or had any clean clothes to wear.) The night after the work was done, the lights and appliances in my home were flickering and having power surges and drains. I called Carmine @ 10pm on a Friday night and he called back promptly and diagnosed the problem. The main circuit breakers to the house had shorted (they were 28 yrs. old). He was out at my house a few hours later @ 6:30 and had the main circuit breakers to my home replaced by 7am on a Saturday!! And I slept thru the whole thing!! Woke up and had electricity!! The breakers shorted due to NO fault of the electricians. They were orig. breakers from 28 yrs. ago when my home was built. They were old and failing. While at the breaker panel in my home, he took the time to go thru all the breakers/wires and tightened up a lot of loose one and did a quality check for me - no charge. He really does care about his customers' safety!! I am so happy w/these guys!! I have found an electrician for life! Thanks Carmine. You are a true gem!!

First, Carmine was prompt, clean/neat, and responsive. But what I liked best is what I call that 'Old World Craftsman's' attention to detail. My father was a Master Electrician and was of the same ilk. These craftsmen ensure that work is done not only according to spec but also pay close attention to the details. Let me give just one of several examples of Carmine's work. I had previous work done by an electrician to install a generator. Not only did they leave the work area/site with scraps and debris that I had to clean up, but most importantly they installed screws in the panel box cover that were like sheet metal screws with sharp pointed ends that partially pierced the main line into the house. Had one of the screws been screwed in a centimeter more, it would have caused a sever and potentially lethal shock to anyone even touching the front of the panel box cover. During Carmine's thorough inspection of the entire system he noticed that the main line had been pierced and corrected it. He then installed the proper screws (with flat, non-piercing points) to attach the panel box cover. This may seem like a minor detail - but it's Carmine's attention to detail, his thoroughness, cleanliness, and craftsmanship that is what one should expect and what I appreciated most - and the added benefit that his price was very reasonable.

Carmine was prompt when I called for an estimate, recommended some cost saving ideas, quoted exactly what we agreed to, came when he said he would and completed the job in less than two days. He and his son were pleasant to deal with, had a positive attitude, was very professional and cleaned up after he was done. We would recommend them and will use them again.

Saw the deal and purchased it as it was a great deal. Everything went smoothly with two electrical receptacles installed (where there weren't any) and moved a thermostat from inside master bedroom to outside master bedroom. Would definitely use them again...

D'Ambrosio Electric was a life saver. We had been trying to get an electrician out for over 2 months. Many would come out and promise a quote but never to be heard from again. D'Ambrosio came out 2 business days after we first spoke as they promised. A two person team provided the services. They performed the work quickly and professionally and charged exactly what they said they would. The project was time & materials and they were very efficient. In and out with excellent results. They cleaned up and we couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend them.

We called on Saturday morning. Carmine came out Saturday afternoon. Trouble shoot our system. Discovered the problem outside. Fixed it after explaining the problem. He showed us the defective part. He was knowledgeable, courteous and prompt.

We had two light fixtures replaced by this company last year, using an Angie's Big Deal, and were very pleased with their work on that project. Contacted them again for an estimate for further work. They responded quickly to the initial email and someone came out within a day or two to look things over. We received a detailed estimate a few days after that. We agreed on a week during which we'd schedule the work, leaving the specific day/time up to them, given our flexible schedule. They called to schedule the specific day/time, and were here right on time this morning. Two men did the work, with each working very efficiently. We had thought it might take more than a day to do the work, but they finished it all today. Each and every things looks just great, and there's very little plaster and paint touch up required. We were pleasantly surprised about that. Very professional and nice to work with. They show you what they are doing and explain why, as they do it.

We had Carmen come in to finish some electrical wiring in our home in September. I was very impressed with his professionalism and appreciated the time he took to explain the work. He finished the work in the time he projected, and was very punctual and communicative about his schedule. Later, when the detectors malfunctioned (sounding even with fresh batteries), he came right in to replace the unit, and at that time he did a few other things (including the porch outlet. I felt very confident in his work, would certainly call on him in the future, and can enthusiastically recommend him.

Carmine was extremely flexible and worked around some scheduling issues we had due to sickness. Additionally, one of the lights we purchased had a dead bulb. Carmine replaced that bulb at no charge to ensure all fixtures were fully functional prior to completing the job. Overall we appreciate his professionalism and cordial demeanor.

I had an 8:30am appointment with Carmine on Wed 12/18 to review the work I needed done. This was our first appointment. He wanted to do 8am but that was too early for me to get me and my kids up and out on a school/work day. He agreed on 8:30am. I waited for him for 20 minutes until he showed up at 8:50am. I needed to get to work so I approached his truck when he pulled up and said"Good morning. Sorry but I need to get to work. We will need to do this another time". Did he respond by apologizing for being late or asking when would be a good time to reschedule? No. Instead he said "Don't call me!" and drove away on a huff. Totally unprofessional and rude. Don't worry Carmine I won't be calling. The real kicker is that he told me on the phone when setting up the appointment that he lived less than 10 minutes from my house. I get the distinct impression that when hiring these guys that they believe they are doing you a favor.
