In June of 2022, I contacted Allstate Paving to pave my 120 ft driveway. When I spoke with allstates owner in June, he said he could begin the work in a few wks. Fast forward and it’s now end of October, even though they had already done the pre work of excavating my driveway and removing the old asphalt. It remained that way for a while. Finally around the middle of November, they contact me to say they can come the next day and pour the asphalt because it’s gonna be sunny and around 60 degrees. I had no choice at that point but to say yes. Well, guess what?! Good old Mother Nature in New England had other ideas and the weather that day went sideways…no sun and maybe the high temp of the day was 50 degrees! Asphalt doesn’t cure well in that climate. His guys had to go around with blow torches to soften lots of areas. I kept an eye on the driveway over the next several months and noticed what’s called ‘unraveling’ of the asphalt. Finally in August 2023 during a hot stretch I hired someone to sealcoat it because I was concerned. That contractor was the one who said I should contact Allstate and ask about the warranty, since nowhere on the invoice is there info about it. I tried to contact Allstate repeatedly, and even texted photos of the shoddy work, but not once did I get a return call. By the way, during the job, Allstate didn’t put up their sign on my lawn. Why wouldn’t they want to advertise the company?

After contacting AllState paving, they came out and measured and provided a clear estimate. We decided to proceed. They came out on the days that they said, did the work that they said they would do and our new driveway looks good. After they were done, Larry answered our questions on do's and don'ts while the asphalt was curing. The driveway looks good.
