Description of Work: I am in the midst of working with Roman and Empire Movers. So far, they've been great. He has been responsive and helpful in preparing for our move; and delivered packing materials on two separate occasions. He also helped us find a storage facility. We have not yet done the actual move (into storage), but I'll let you know when we do. So far, I'm extremely satisfied.

Description of Work: Shortly after buying the $99.00 of moving services on August 3, I went to visit Mr. Koval at his place of business in Westfield. I explainined to him what the move was about, showing him pictures of the items that needed to be moved from Chatham, MA. to Longmeadow, MA. I told him the approximate date would be late September. He was interested in doing the job and I therefore did not get another quote. Approximately 10 days prior to the move, I notified him of the date. Shortly thereafter, he told me that because he did not have a move from Western MA. to eastern MA. that he would not be able to accomodate me. That was the FIRST time I had heard that and left me with few alternatives as the move had to be made at that time and I was committed to that date. He apologized but it left me with little alternative but to pay a large fee to get my job done in a hurry with little notice to an alternative mover. Empire is a small firm with limited facilities. Perhaps I should have anticipated problems.

Description of Work: Empire moved my copious amounts of household furnishings, etc., from Western MA into storage for two weeks, then made the final move to Cape Cod. They ended up using two trucks. The final price was higher than quoted. not their fault - I didn't realize how much stuff I had! They did not charge me for the extra either time, only gas and tolls. Roman, John and Dave could not have been more pleasant and helpful, if I had invented them myself. They worked very efficiently and were more than willing to move several pieces of furniture that were left in the new house. I recommend them unreservedly.
