Mastodon moving is excellent! They were reliable, punctual and made moving a smooth process. I was so pleased, I am using them again this fall and they have been very accommodating and responsive as moving in the city is never easy. I will continue to use them in the future!

The day started off awkwardly when the movers called us at 6:30 AM to let us know their morning job was cancelled and they were outside our house ready to go (our move was supposed to start at 10 AM). We weren't ready for them, so it was a scramble to get the cats in carriers and put the last of our things in boxes. However, once that hurdle was cleared, the 4 man team worked fast and we left for our new place around noon. In unloading, they were fairly careful (there was only one mishap with a scratched dresser and it was minor, none of our things were broken and we moved a lot of china) and they were good at communicating where things would go as a team.

The move went smoothly. My biggest concern was that the movers had to hoist an armoire from our 2nd floor bedroom window down to the first floor. They were very professional and wrapped and taped the armoire so it wouldn't get scratched of dented. I couldn't watch them hoist the armoire because I didn't want to see it dropped (didn't happen). By the time I got downstairs it had been lowered and was being carried off to the truck! No problem. The guys were energetic and even jogged upstairs carrying a mattress! I used them again, a couple of weeks later, to move furniture into our apartment. This time we just needed 2 movers instead of 3.

Excellent service, was called in advance when they were running about 15 minutes behind schedule to let me know, and they worked around a blocked loading dock to completed the move without a problem.

The entire Mastodon crew was a pleasure to work with. Making the arrangements for our move was easy, and thanks to the email and phone call confirmations made by their team, I was confident from the start that our moving day would go smoothly. The professionalism of these movers was evident in their appearance, and most importantly in their work. This moving team was punctual, extremely polite, conscientious, and efficient! My husband and I would highly recommend Mastodon moving as they truly made this the easiest move we have ever experienced.

They were very responsive to our needs. They were flexible as to timing and when at the last moment we added more to our list to be moved they fit it all in and carefully addressed each issue as it arose. It was a very hot day but I heard no complaints.

Awesome! JJ and Connor showed up about 15 minutes early (yes, you read that right, EARLY--it was fabulous!!) and were professional, courteous and helpful throughout the entire move process. And did I mention fast? These guys clearly understood the value of time and were extremely efficient. Would highly recommend to anyone considering a move.

I will be doing a large scale move later this year.. I wanted to try this company before making the decision on packing up my whole house. JJ and associate were professional, quick and most of all CAREFUL as many of the walls and ceilings had just been painted. not a scratch anywhere! it was a very positive experience and I will absolutely look to them this fall when packing my entire house into a handful of pods. They began by sitting down with me and discussing the whole picture and what options to consider and then I showed them the furniture to be moved.. didn't talk to them again until they were finished!

The service provided exceeded expectations! After having called around to other moving companies, I liked that his fee was all inclusive. Other companies had a rental car fee, a gas charge, a this extra charge. But with Mastodon it was one flat rate.

My husband and I are not fans of moving, so we knew we were going to utilize a moving company, and it was just a matter of which one. Mastodon had great reviews on Angie's, and we also received a personal recommendation from a friend. I would summarize by saying that the move from Cambridge to JP went better than we had planned - JJ and the team demonstrated a tremendous work ethic to get the job done. We had mostly everything packed and ready to go, which we were hoping to expedite the process. In total, the move took about 5-6 hours. The team was running behind and they were very apologetic that their morning job had taken longer than planned. Even so, they worked until about 7 PM in the evening in order to get us all moved in. It was a sweltering hot day and they worked nonstop to get the job done. They weren't able to fit all of our stuff in the moving van, so they did offer to help us with some of the additional items left behind and bring them over a few days later, which was very nice of them. They were all very professional and polite, and treated our belongings very carefully. The price was fair, it was a little more than what we had initially looked to pay, but the services were worth the price and we would recommend Mastodon to others who are looking for moving within the Boston area.

JJ and the Mastodon Moving team were very helpful and professional. They were there on time, ready to work, and executed our move perfectly. We were quoted a very competitive price, and that ended up being the price we paid in the end. All and all, we were very satisfied with the service and the price, and we will use Mastodon for any moves in the future. We have also recommended Mastodon to others in the Boston area.

I thought Mastodon Movers did an excellent job moving me out of my 1 bedroom apartment. Before they arrived I told them that it would be a small job but it actually turned out to be a lot of stuff once I packed everything together. If I had a big enough truck that might have been easy enough. But Uhaul told me they were renting me a 14-foot truck and ended up only having a 10-foot truck available that morning. That scared me and I thought I was going to have to part with some of my furniture. Despite this problem, the movers did everything humanly possible to get all my furniture and boxes into that truck. They fit everything in like puzzle pieces and when it looked bleak, they helped me take apart furniture to make it work. Amazingly it all fit except a desk that I was going to throw away anyways. The movers were very professional and nice, and they seemed to really care that things were done properly and that my furniture was packed in so that it would not be damaged. They even stayed later than they planned in order to finish the work. Overall they did a great job. I would highly recommend them to anybody who needs a mover! I think the price was reasonable--it was about average for Boston, and plus they carry liability insurance which some movers do not.

JJ and his team were extremely accommodating with our schedule when we had to move into a one bedroom apartment last summer. They were very fast to pack us into the truck and un-pack us when we arrived. They moved us during one of the hottest days of the summer and were literally running back and forth from the truck and into our building. They were very professional and their prices are the best we could find for a moving company that was insured. I would without reservation recommend them to anyone needing a mover in the Massachusetts area.

They arrived in the morning at the scheduled and time worked carefully and efficiently to pack the trailer. The amount of time they estimated for this was right on track. They arrived Cape Cod at the exact hour they said they would and carefully unpacked the goods and placed them where they were directed. I highly recommend Mastodon Movers to anyone whether a small move or a big move, they can do it all. Working with them has been a pleasure and I would hired them again.

I had a wonderful experience working with Mastodon Moving. We had a complicated move that many other companies weren't able to handle, requiring a pickup in Boston, another stop in DC, and a final destination in Miami. JJ worked with us to make it work on our tight schedule, and everything went smoothly. They didn't do the actual move themselves, but provided a referral to a mover with a 20-ft truck who does long distance east coast moves, and he was fantastic. The movers that Mastodon sent in Boston were on time, professional, and very efficient. At times I didn't really care about certain items being wrapped in furniture pads, etc. but they were more careful with my belongings than I would have been myself. I will definitely be recommending them to friends in the Boston and east coast area.

JJ came and gave us a quote, on moving day they arrived on time and finished in the time they estimated. The project went very very well. Not to mention they donate 10% to charity! Amazing.
