The whole process went really well.

From the initial contact on through the putting things back after the refinishing, they were clear, punctual, professional, and very helpful. A well-run business and a pleasure to deal with.

I thought the price was a little steep, but their quote was right in line with others that I called. And after seeing how heavy it was for these 2 strong men to carry, I realized it was well worth the money. We communicated via email for the scheduling & quote and they responded in a timely manner. They arrived on the dot of the scheduled time, were polite, friendly and professional. I would definitely call them again.

Great team of movers! JJ & team are very professional and careful. Not a scratch on my newly painted walls. They made the move very easy and listened to how we wanted everything arranged. We will certainly use them again if we move again. We highly recommend this team!

JJ and staff were extremely professional and very customer focused. They were more interested in doing what it took to make me happy than trying to fit me into a predetermined schedule, and their price was very competitive. Have not fully unpacked, but so far everything appears carefully packed and undamaged. Highly recommended.

JJ couldn't have more attentive to detail and service was excellent. He is a professional in every sense of the word and I would recommend him and his team highly!

Starting with the positive, they came prepared with a huge moving truck and blankets to wrap the furniture. They started by walking through the apartment and asking what was staying and what was going and worked the entire time. They had all the tools needed to take furniture apart that needed to be disassembled. They clearly know their business. A few things that could use improvement include communication. Because the owner takes care of all the communication, it can take a while to hear back from him. You have to be persistent, especially when they're busy, to get your move scheduled. They were 30 minutes late, but called to let me know they were running late, so it wasn't a huge issue for me. I had also used their quote estimator to see what the cost would be, and it ended up being ~15% more even with the Angie's List deal, which I thought was a significant difference. Overall, the service was good, but I would probably try to get a more accurate quote if I used them again.

The guys showed up right on time and started in on what would be a long day! They packed stuff that was un-boxed and disassembled furniture for the move and handled huge pieces with an expertise that could only come from true professionals. On the other end, they managed to get everything in the right room, unbroken and quickly. The really large pieces needed to be moved up and through some very tricky interior hallways and they did it with some intelligence and true grit! They'd still be out on the lawn if I had to get them in the house ;) Well worth the price!

AS above, moved some items from my parents home (they are downsizing) to my house, and a second home. They were great, and I would hire them again.

They were great. They were a little late but called and apologized and was great service. I will have to move again pretty soon and will use them again without any reservations.

initially the owner called me right away to discuss the work. Then, to avoid being locked into the angie's list price/deal, he strung me along until the deal expired. Then he set a price that was twice as much so I refused to use them.

JJ and his team were great- nothing was damaged and as a result of their organization we were able to get unpacked and settled in to our new place in record time.

I originally did not hear from the provider - so I had given an F review. I want to be fair in my review - I received a detailed email with an apology and explaining the situation in detail. I appreciated this very much and I believe the provider did their best to make up for the delay in contacting me. The services will be provided this week and I will be happy to update my review at that point. I tried to change my previous review but couldn't; as such I think it's only fair to update this now so others have the benefit of knowing this. I'm hoping the services will be as easy as communication has been once I heard from them. Again, I will post a follow up review once services are performed.

Four energetic and hard working men delivered the hutch as planned. I was very impressed because they took such care and moved cautiously through my hallways to the designated room, using blankets to protect the floors. When they came to a difficult turn in the hallway, they figured out a better method to make it through with the large base section. As two men carried the item, the other two guided them with helpful cueing. These men were personable, intelligent, respectful of the surroundings, and very experienced movers. And it was impressive that the owner was present to oversee every detail of the delivery. I would hire them in the future as I would be guaranteed a safe and successful move.

So I bought the Deal from Angie's List for $189 (half-price) for 4 man-hours of moving: either 2 men for 2 hours or 4 men for 1 hour. Apparently a lot of other people bought this deal too (not to mention it's summer vacation student-moving season!) so they were very very busy and didn't always answer e-mails right away when trying to arrange a date. And I got a little more nervous when their phone number didn't even have the company name as part of the answering service message. I even checked out another company, which said they'd need to charge at least $375 (which proved the initial offer was right on track). But Mastodon came through with flying colors! Once a specific time was arranged, they were very courteous about calling to confirm their arrival, and the 3-man crew (neither 2 nor 4?) quickly took the bed apart and loaded it into the truck. I followed them to the storage facility and everything was done within an hour. Really nice guys, really nice service, would definitely use them again. (Though maybe not for anything utterly urgent if they've recently had a Deal running.)

Contacted provider via Angie's List and the first response from them was a request to email them at another email address with the information had already provided them on Angie's List to get the process started. Found this very frustrating as they could have easily called me or emailed me from the other email address with the next step. It was also more difficult to get an appointment last week for a free moving estimate with Mastodon Moving than it was other movers so ultimately gave up scheduling a free estimate with Mastodon. Overall it was an average experience, hence the C rating.

They showed up a polite 15 minutes after the appointed time, which worked out well for us. they were cheery and dealt with the insane amount of stairs at both houses without complaining. The 3 guys were super-fast, and never stopped moving except for a water break. They didn't break anything, and wrapped all the furniture professionally, with blankets and saran wrap. They wrestled some really heavy items up 3 flights of stairs, on these insane twisty little crampy Boston staircases. The whole thing took about half as long as I thought it would, and cost about 2/3 as much as I thought it would.

The movers were great! They showed up on-time and moved all of our heavy furniture and a number of pre-packed (by us) boxes to our new condo. They were fast and efficient.

I can't say enough good things about JJ and Alan. They kept me very well informed about when they could deliver a very heavy piece of furniture I had purchased at a consignment store. They arrived at the store exactly when they said they would, were very gentle with the furniture, and delivered it in perfect condition.

They were very good. They were able to come out very quickly and it was almost on demand. Their price was a little bit high but for the service that they provided, it was very good. It was a very good experience and I would recommend them in the future.

My liasion with the company, JJ, was extremely responsive and helpful in the days and hours before the job, and Elliot and Connor were extremely professional, good-natured and quick movers. Even when some of the items proved very big and heavy they pushed through without any complaint. They were also very flexible on the day of the move when I arrived two hours after we had originally booked them. Use these movers!!!

JJ and his crew were amazing. They carefully wrapped all our furniture and proceeded with incredible speed yet great care to get the 2 trucks that they brought loaded. We had mistakenly left out several items when we asked for an estimate but they willingly accommodated us and managed to get it all in the trucks. It was a difficult move and we had some very heavy pieces that they carefully and with great skill carried down a spiral staircase. They never slowed down even after 8.75 hours. All the way through to the end they were a pleasure to have around, were conscientious and had a great attitude. We highly recommend Mastadon Moving, LLC.
