Overall, I had a bad experience with this company, early phase of the project they were very nice, they came up with reasonable estimates, for both refacing and replacing cabinets, however the actual numbers are different please BE AWARE, I went with new cabinets and countertop, for the countertop it was 76% over the estimated price, and they added bogus charges for alleged electrical work without my approval. The work was okay, the cabinets were incorrectly measured, the length of the cabinet to appropriate location to my vent was incorrectly measured, so they made a big stink about it’s a standard cabinet, however, they corrected the mistake by relocating the vent to adjust with the new cabinet, the worker that made the adjustment was very rude, he walked out of my house yelling and screaming, when I asked him if he can install the kitchen hood, which was agreed that they would install all the items they appliances they removed for the new cabinet. The granite countertop edge was delivered unfinished edge, so it was scratching the new cabinet door, they did finally replace the door, and had someone to manually polish the corner countertop, but you can still see a variance between the original polished edge that was delivered and the manually polished area. I asked them to address this problem, but they pretty much ignored my emails and sent me a final notice payment and threatening to take legal actions if I didn’t pay. Anyway I made the final payments for items I agreed, I will probably have to go through a legal process to correct the bogus electrical work they claim they did which we are in disagreement. Someone had already commented that they are nice until something goes wrong in a previous review, my experience was the same.

He made careful measurements, discussed cupboard construction, countertop location, everything in detail. New things installed within a short time then he checked it all. All that was almost four years ago, soon after we bought and moved into this previously owned-and-occupied house. I still marvel at the perfection and quality of the installation, and the Countertop man's willingness to ask, listen and discuss. Great all around!

I became aware of the potential for an issue with the counters after i had purchased the stove. Since it was going to be installed in a few days, I called The Counterstop shop and they came by the very next day to take a look. The owner (Loring) inspected the counters and area for the stove to be installed. Everything should fit OK and no adjustments or changes should be necessary. I very much appreciated the quick response and evaluation.
Description of Work: I was having a new stove installed and needed someone to come and inspect the countertops adjacent to the stove to see if any adjustments were necessary in order for it to fit properly and look "finished".

I was the one who had to "follow through" to find out what was "going on" with the project at certain junctions. The countertop was supposed to be inspected prior to installing the countertop. They missed out twice, by failing to see the "crack from "corner to corner", and by not making sure the countertops were "level". I would say in the future, I would make sure that you "oversee" the whole project, no matter what the project be. Don't care if you feel "they know what they're doing", or you could be in the predicament I'm in now.
Description of Work: I was informed that the countertop would be over "the bridge to CapeCod", by 8 in the morning, and would then travel to the shop to be inspected for imperfections. The installation crew arrived at around 7:30am (without any phone call prior to letting me know they were on there way. They installed, and screwed down the counterop, before finding out that the countertop would not be level. They tried "Jimmying " up where the gap was, but didn't complete the job properly. You can still see where the gap is. When we compained about it being uneven, thay said they could re'do, but it would be at least 4 more hours, and thus implying more pay. I was having a huge party the next day, so just wanted it done. The next morning, I realized that there was a gap/line at a corner spot. (it was a straight line from corner to corner. I called and talked to Sylvia from "The Counter Top Stop". She sent out Loring(the owner), to have a look. All he could say was the the crack was too thin to fix, and that I should not let ANY moisure near that crack. He did say, if it started separating, to give him a call immedietally. If it was inspected prior to coming to the house to install, and inspected, I feel the imperfection should have been noted and fixed prior to it's arrival. I also feel that they should have checked the level of the countertops prior to securing/ screwing trhings down. I would be Very hesitant of hiring this company again!
