In searching for a "local" mover (in west stockbridge ma) for a simple, "atypical" ask, I contacted the 1st 10 or so google provided.. and all said they don't actually serve the area AND had high minimums. Thankfully I went one further and got to Crockett the owner of Camel Moving and Storage. We chatted for a bit. I shared my need- to move my 84 yo Dad's 150 lb recumbent bike 2 floors up in the house. Crockett LISTENED to me, didn't insist on 3+ HOURS of time and dime and thought "Outside the box"! Within days he got the job done, and Dad is so happy. Crockett is Absolutely a customer 1st operation!!! No job is too big or small and I understand he is a specialist in moving fine art and pianos too. thank you Crockett for saving our backs- pun intended!

Crockett and his two movers were excellent. Crockett came a couple of weeks before to access the situation and gave me a reasonable estimate. He also delivered boxes and supplies before the move. The move went very well. They arrived right on time. They were very careful with all the furniture, wrapping each piece carefully so nothing would get damaged (there was some antique wood furniture to move). They took time to make sure everything was put in the right place in the new apartment. Very professional and friendly! I would highly recommend them.

Perfectly. Superbly professional and efficient in a move involving three stages, including storage at Camel's facilities. Valuable antiques had to be packed and moved in demanding circumstances; Crockett and his crew performed flawlessly.

Perfectly. Crockett charges a bit more than rivals with good reason: his service and standards are flawless. He and members of his crew are pleasant, polite, and most important, total professionals. We had a dozen valuable antiques, including a dining table, chairs, and a case clock. All were packed perfectly: nothing was damaged. I cannot recommend Camel highly enough.

The owner, Mr. McGarrity, and his two men arrived at the appointed time and did not rush their work, carefully taking it apart and expertly wrapped each piece of furniture with many layers of of protection. They have pride in what they do, and it shows! My nephew called today to tell me that they delivered and unpacked it with the same care and courtesy. I've been a member of Angie's list for five years or so; I've never had a better experience.

Camel Moving company was responsible for the packing and moving our business and home from the Berkshires in Massachusetts to Connecticut. I went from dreading this move to actually enjoying the process...this is completely because of Crocket (Camel Movers owner) and his amazing crew. They worked tirelessly, with respect, intelligence and care...and always with a smile or kind words. The weather was miserable this March, but nothing stopped this hard working crew. My items arrived in perfect condition, they set up everything that needed setting up, and even somehow managed to excavate some garden pots and statues from the frozen ground. They are honest, and truly a class act. I thought the price was fair too. You cannot go wrong if you choose Camel Movers. They were recommended to us by our Storage facility in the Berkshires as Camel has moved many folks in and out of the storage units. I am very thankful we choose this top notch company ... check out Camel Movers testimonials on their site, call his references (many), Angies list etc. You will see that they have earned 5 stars many times over. We will be using them again for any future moves...they do work out of the area as well.

We requested a quote from Camel moving based on the reviews on Angie's List. We provided photos and received a verbal quote (no in person visit due to an out of state location) of $4000.00 for a 3 bedroom furnished single family home move of about 125 miles. We had two other quotes in the range of $1500-2000 so we ultimately selected one of them. The moving company owner we used spoke highly of Camel as a competitor and placed value on their detailed work. We didn't have high end furniture or artwork so we didn't require that additional care but if we do they will definitely be a company we consider.

We had a great moving experience with Camel. They are very professional and treat the furniture and your home very carefully. We would highly recommend them.

Very responsive in setting up service, informative about what needed to be done on my end. Punctual and courteous. Very careful with the piano and with the floors packing and unpacking, moving-, installing in place. Highly recommend.

Just thinking about how many times we have used Crockett and his wonderful team of movers, makes me exhausted! They are like giant energizer bunnies! We have been extremely pleased with Camel Movers -- we feel lucky to have them in our area, because they are very conscientious and take a lot of pride in their work. They treat all of our belongings as if they are the Queen's jewels and take incredible care to wrap each item to ensure it's safety as well as the walls of the house during the move. They use floor runners so that they do not ruin our floors and think of things even we wouldn't in our own home. It is well worth the money since everything arrives in excellent condition and it is not a stressful situation especially knowing how much Crockett is in control over every aspect of the move. They are extremely trustworthy as well and we have recommended them to clients and friends who have also raved over them. All of our experiences with them have been only positive. Plus Crockett keeps us laughing with his funny sense of humor, and he doesn't even charge extra for that!

They wrapped everything like furniture, kitchen stuff, and glass. It was very good service. Because I was getting ready to sell things, we had to space it out. We did the packing part over a couple of weeks. They were very flexible with times to get packing done. They did a great job with any special requests. Nothing was broken or scratched and everything arrived in perfect condition. They were able to work around an ice storm. They were able to meet all our needs without having to subcontract anything out. We were very happy with their work and crew. They protected all the areas where they were unloading and loading. They go through everything during your move.
