Fine- good job

The maids were on time and professional. They brought in four maids, one was a lead but all shared the work to be done. Their work was very well done. Everything from dusting the furniture, cleaning the kitchen countertops, cleaning/mopping the floors (including baseboards), even ceilings (including fans) and bathrooms.

They came in on the day we agreed on. House was cleaned of dust. My kitchen floor needed a good scrubbing. They used their floor machine and got all the little crevices in the linoleum cleared of all scuffs. Do not remember the cost.

There were days that they did ok and some days that things were left undone. One time came home to find my sink still had cleaner in it and was not cleaned at all. One time I came home and my neighbor told me one of the maids was in my driveway screaming And banging on their vehicle because she was angry with her supervisor. Early in I asked them to park out on the street because their vehicle was leaking fluid and damaging my driveway. It took a couple of damage spots on my driveway before they got their vehicle fixed. I never knew what would be missed in the cleaning but there was always something.

My first experience with a highly recommended company from Angie's List was a complete bust. I scheduled whole house cleaning service about 5 days previous. The "sales" team at The Maids of West Springfield is very professional (it is a different telephone number entirely from "service"). I was quoted a price a bit on the high side and was told it would be about $400-600 to clean my large house. Since the company was "highly recommended," I decided to schedule the cleaning, even though I thought it was a high quote. The company charges by the hour and this was an estimate. I was given a time the team would appear (11am on 4/10) and was told I would get a confirmation call the night before service was scheduled. I received NO call to either of the numbers I had given the company, and no messages were left on either voice mail. On the day they were supposed to clean, I called in the morning and was told they would be at my house between 10:30am and 11:30am. At noon they finally showed up. I was bothered by this and it wrecked my schedule as I work at home and needed to be back at work by 2pm or shortly thereafter. I thought they had a very poor attitude for a new client. I asked the team leader what happened and she told me they had had to go back to the office because their vacuum cleaner did not work (not a good sign!). I asked her why she didn't call me to let me know they were running 30-60 minutes late and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "things happen." I was so disturbed by her attitude that Icancelled the service. I don't need someone like that supervising the cleaning in my home. And for $400-$600 I would expect some real professionalism along with the thorough cleaning. I want to note that I did call both of the company's numbers to try to resolve this prior to leaving this poor feedback. No one returned my call. I would guess that they don't need new business, as they lost a potential regulart customer.

They worked very hard. There was a group of three of them, and they scrubbed the floors by hand.

The job turned out to be fine. They were punctual and they did a better job cleaning the house compared to the other company that I used. Few people came out to clean the house.
