Class General Contracting

Class General Contracting has done roofing and construction work on our over 100 year old house, and each time their price has been fair and the quality and service have been excellent. Recently we thought we saw a shingle missing from the roof and called them. They returned our call immediately and came over. We really felt foolish when it turned out to be a shadow, but Brian said no charge. Brian honors his warranties and his word.

Great Service. Brian showed up! In a world of contractors who don't call you back or call when they feel like it, it was refreshing to have a contractor who came right out to give us a quote, did the work within 2 weeks (roof replacement) and the results were great! Brian's crew did a great job and I will not hesitate to recommend Brian at Class General Contracting.

Our home had a structural beam that appeared to have suffered water damage but the scale and cause was unclear. Brian and team were able to diagnose and repair quickly and at a great price. The end result looks perfect. Very satisfied customer will hire Class Construction again and heartily recommend! 5 stars!

Brian and his company was referred to me. I did get a few quotes. Brian had a great price. Materials and workers showed up on schedule. Work was done on time and as promised. They did a great job cleaning up after job.

It went very well. They arrived when promised and were in and out within six hours. They stripped the roof and put the Owens Corning Duration True Definition shingles on that I requested.

It was great! The crew was on time, wore masks for COVID precautions, were super polite and got the job done quickly. They cleaned up after the work was done and it couldn’t have gone smoother. If you’re in western Mass or the surrounding area, and need work done to your house, hire Class!

They live up to their name. Very professional. My porch presented some challenges that weren’t discovered until after it was torn down but they were able to make all the necessary repairs. It looks wonderful and can’t wait to decorate it for the holidays!

Brian had two men there exactly when he said they would be. They were all business, working steadily, doing a tear out of the chimney area and re-building. They also replaced several shingles that I didn't expect to be in the deal and several peak caps that were cracked. His guys communicated well and went the extra mile on a tough roof to work on. Brian also took the trouble to get a nice match with shingles well over 20 years old. Dealing with Brian and Class was a great experience and we would absolutely do business with him again, and recommend him.

Outstanding. My wife and I were very pleased. The owner of the company, Brian St. Amand is very personable and honest. His employees are very professional and friendly. The company has also done smaller jobs for us. ex.a construction of a man cave and a small enclose d porch. After the completion of these small jobs , we decided to hire the company for our roof replacement. His employees were always on time and sometimes earlier never late. My wife and I would without a doubt recommend this company to anyone.,

This company provided excellent service! They provided a quote in a timely fashion, scheduled the job and came out when they said they would. They kept in constant touch with me via email to let me know what they were doing, when they would be out, and when they would be finished. They also responded to each of my questions. They really seemed to care and do extra to make the end result look great! Price was very reasonable.

Brian and the guys are amazing!!! They were so great about the job. Did a fantastic job...my roof looks wonderful!!! They stuck to the timeline that Brian said it would take and we couldn't be happier!!! Plus they are some of the nicest men I have dealt with in the home construction business too!! They were concerned about keeping my yard clean from debris and that I and my 2 little kids (4 and 1) got in and out of the house safely while they were doing the work!!! I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again!!

I needed all new windows...18 in total (all were over 40 years old and a few windows had to be custom made). Called a few companies and got free estimates. While 2 of the 3 companies took over a week to get back to me, Class General Contracting's owner Brian St. Amand came out the day after I called and his price ended up being the best of the 3 companies for the exact same windows. He is extremely knowledgeable and very easy to deal with. Price quoted was price paid! Class General Contracting arrived on time, professional from beginning to end and finished the job in a very clean and timely manner! Will be using his company again for a new roof in the next few months! A++++

Very well. It took them about an hour and a half. the weather was horrendous but the next day was supposed to pour so they fixed my roof in terrible weather. I really give them a lot of credit for coming out in that weather.

On the day he came . He could not find my house. He called me and I told him he was about 1 minute from my house. I waited about 2 or 3 minutes and when no one knocked on my door I looked out my kichen window. He was in my yard doing measureing. He didn't even knock on my door.I went outside. He said hi and shook my hand and went about measureing.I asked him if he had a sample of the siding and colors I could look at. he gave me a sample and went on measuring. When he was done he took the sample back. he said that I couldn't keep it. He said he would mail me the estimate and he left. He never came into my house and talked to me. I don't think he was in my yard more than 15 minutes. I had two other companys give me estimates. The estimate I got from him was half the price of the other two. I don't see what kind of a job he could have done for that price. As far as I'm concerned he was not very professional.

We had a badly dented up coil stock (the white metal trim pieces around a garage door opening) and I needed to get it fixed. We have ordered a new overhead garage door and they suggested the coil stock repair should be done first. I found Class General Contracting here on Angie's List. Brian promptly called back after I left him a message describing the work. We had a brief conversation, and I emailed him a photo of what needed to be done. He got right back to me with a full written quotation for the work, $150.00. We arranged a day to do the work. The first time around was postponed by bad weather so we rescheduled for today. His worker was right on time, did the job in exactly the time they said it would take, and it looks TERRIFIC! This has truly been a pleasurable experience and I certainly will use Class again should the need arise. Great job!

They are a local company and they were absolutely terrific. It was great and we were very, very happy. It looks great. We've noticed with the siding and better windows that the house stays cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Their workmanship was excellent. Brian, the owner, would come by sometimes at 5 am to see what his guys had done the day before. I love that about him. He's Type A but that's a good thing when you are in his business. If we were up he would knock on the door to see how everything was going. He was a great guy. Another estimate was twice as much. Because of the ice dams we have been calling him to check the roof and he has always been able to come out the same day. We plan to use him in the future.
