It went well. The owner Barry answered the phone on my first phone call and made a date that day to see the ceiling. He inspected it and gave me the estimate of $300.00. The next day he worked me in and fixed the ceiling with screws and plaster where the water damage had occurred. The following day he painted the entire ceiling. All done within a few days and for the price of the estimate. I couldn't be more pleased.

.Barry and his helper, Rod, first primed all the walls, filled in holes, and sanded. Primer was then applied everywhere, The walls were previously painted a darker color, but when he got through, the lighter color concealed everything. They arrived promptly at 7;30 and spent the whole day painting until well after 4;00. They barely took time for lunch. The job was done in one day and I did expect it to be two. When Barry returned for his check the following day, he asked if there was anything amiss. There were some spots of paint on the ceiling which he immediately took care of with ceiling paint. They were courteous, on time, and fast. This was especially important for me as I am selling my condo and expected three showings the next day or so. It was ready in time looking clean and neat thanks to Keane. He had been able to come when I called.

Barry was the only painter I called based on reviews on this page - I left a message and he responded immediately and was able to come to my condo that day to assess and provide an estimate. I selected him immediately based on his personality and advice regarding paint choice and cleaning up the remains of a really sloppy paint job by the previous condo owners. We scheduled a time for the job and all I had to do was text Barry my paint color choices and he and his team did the rest. They showed up when the said they would with all the paint and supplies and I had no reservations leaving them unattended while I went to work. The entire job was essentially done in one day - I was replacing a really dark paint in the second bedroom with a light off-white which after primer and two coats still wasn't completely covered. Barry came back a day later to complete the final coat. The team were tidy and cleaned up after themselves and went above and beyond moving furniture for me that was too heavy to handle myself and replacing everything when the job was complete. I will have no hesitation using them again for the remaining rooms in my condo.

They were quick and effective.

Barry painted our foyer, hallway and large office. I got a quote from him first. Came by exactly when he said he would (both for the estimate and to start the work). He was quick and thorough about his work and super friendly. I was in and out during the day and wasn't concerned about leaving him there on his own. I had some second thoughts about one of the colors I picked and he was unflappable. Started and finished on schedule. Cleaned everything afterwards. We typically do our own painting, but didn't have the time in this case. Barry did a great job and was so easy to work with I won't hesitate to call him again for the next job!

Barry was very responsive in coming by to discuss the painting job and give us an estimate. It was reasonable compared to other painters. Also, there were extenuating circumstances as we needed to coordinate the care of my 91 year old mother, who is housebound due to a stroke, during the job itself. Moreover, the walls and ceilings were smoked stained because she still smokes! It was a busy time, but Barry was very conscientious and did a great job. I believe he is trustworthy and would hire him again for future work.

Barry returned my call quickly and came in a few days to give me an estimate. He returned in the agreed upon time and in one day with an assistant completed the work neatly and cleaned up before leaving. The kitchen ceiling needed some chipping and plastering in spots. The work was done quickly and neatly and without extra cost. The bedroom and kitchen both had some issues with ole paint that needed special handing and it was taken care of immediately. I am currently expecting Barry to return this week and paint my living rom walls, ceiling and trim. I highly recommend Barry for his work and his professionalism.

Barry is great, he does excellent work and is friendly, professional, and responsive. He started the job the day before I left for vacation, and I returned a week later to a freshly painted house. An overall excellent experience and will use again.

The paint job was beautiful and Barry was a pleasure to work with. He was professional and responsive to our needs. His cost was reasonable and he was impeccably honest about all aspects of the job, including pricing. We made a change in color selection mid-project and he was graciously accommodating. He did an excellent job and we would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Barry is a fantastic painter and professional. He was available on short notice and fit in the day's worth of work between much larger jobs. He is friendly and knowledgeable. He helped select paints that make the room look much better. He and his team are precise with the detailed work. The trim and the walls look like they are painted on smooth drywall instead of the actual aging lathe and plaster that I have throughout my house. Barry cleaned up well after the work was complete. His rates are also very reasonable.

I called Barry last minute to help with a project that I thought I could tackle on my own and soon into the project I found out it was too daunting for me to handle! My old house is all horse hair plaster and when doing my kitchen and dining room over I thought I could replace some of the older horse hair with sheetrrock, I thought wrong. That stuff is impossible to work with (for a novice like me). Barry came out and gave me a quote and we scheduled the work to happen next week. He fixed my poor plastering job and even replaced pieces of sheetrock that I had installed incorrectly. After that he went to work and painted the kitchen and dining room including the vaulted cealing which had some older detailed molding. The paint job was awesome and he even helped with choosing a more warming color for the kitchen, we originally thought we wanted white but he suggested with our darker cabinets that a subtle tint of warming orange would work best, it looks great. A+!

They finished all 4 rooms in one day and were great at working their schedule to accommodate our need for a quick job. Pricing was extremely reasonable. Great company and Barry is really nice and professional.

He gave me a verbal quote, but when it became clear that he could not complete the work during my preferred timeframe, he recommended that I seek someone else's services... which would have been great, except that I cared more about quality and price than the timeframe. He did not tell me when he COULD be available to do the job, and didn't follow up with a written estimate. I'm sure there was a miscommunication and he assumed my timeframe was set in stone, but it wasn't, and I felt like he didn't want my business when he tried to pass it off to someone else.

So far so good - Barry is exactly how others have described him. Easy going and enjoyable to work with. He has not begun the work yet. However, as part of the overall kitchen remodel - it required some minor wallpaper to be scrapped back during previously scheduled kitchen installation efforts. I asked Barry to assist as I informed him I planned to use him. He made it an effort to visit my home during the kitchen installation and assist (with short notice) in pealing back the wallpaper - this ensured our project did not cause additional hardships (new plaster walls near wallpaper walls), it also confirmed that we selected the right guy. As mentioned he has not actually begun painting, but I am confident he will be fantastic. I will ensure to follow-up on my final thoughts - but we are looking forward to Barry starting soon. Update 8/6/12: Barry did a great job. Our intent was to have him do the work while the kids were on vacation.. however, the timing for both of us did not pan out. he did his best to work around the traffic and keep things clean. The fact is - when stripping wallpaper and re-painting, things get dirty and a deep clean once you are done will be required. The final outcome of our project was what I expected, Barry was open to my feedback and OCD when it came time to fixing prior owner wallpaper scraping gouges. He was extremely fair on the price and finished the job in a reasonable amount of time. One thing I like about Barry is that he does the work himself... he may use a helper from time to time, but he prices the work, does the work and stands behind it. one recommendation for anyone doing "any remodeling" - take the furniture out of the room or cover it yourself with plastic (fully wrap). By no means did Barry do anything wrong, i just did not expect the amount of dust that comes from remodeling a house (new kitchen, floors, paint, ceiling). He did a fantastic job, he left our house clean and we have been getting many positive reviews on his final outcome.... thank you Barry. Dave - Waltham

Overall dealing with Barry was a great experience. No hassles, we gave him the color samples my daughter had picked out and he took care of the rest. EASY, JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT!

Barry has been our go-to painter for about 15 years. We have used his services for painting every time we need a job done. He handles our rental property and all of our family and friends as well. We called him this time to paint a kitchen, two hallways, large 3rd floor bedroom w bath and a front porch. As always, he did a great job, came soon after we called, took care of my home and belongings through out the process, cleaned up, and finished in a timely manner. Couldn't be happier with Barry's services and would highly recommend!

Barry showed up on time with one helper and got right to work. Took one day to put on first coat and the second coat was applied the next day. Great job! Even cleaned up old paint on woodwork. He was friendly and attentive and I would hire him again and urge you to do so!

Barry was fast and efficient and worked exactly as he said he would. He had an eye out for quality and really did a good job.

Barry was very professional and efficient. His team removed all window treatments, electrical wall plates, window locks and returned them to their places when they were finished. The quality of the repairs to the plaster and painting is phenomenal and could not be better. His quote was competitive and he was close to his estimate and I added more work when I saw how great the walls looked from his team's efforts. I highly recommend Barry and his team.
