Spoke to Jerry on Tuesday and Matt completed the work on Friday; about as seamless of a process as could be hoped for. Jerry was great to communicate with on the phone. Matt arrived perfectly on time, was extremely helpful in proposing a great/clean solution to rerouting our ductwork (that didn't involve ripping open a bunch of walls like we thought we may have to do), talked through everything before the work started, and worked very fast/efficiently. He was also extremely respectful of taking basic health precautions while in our house without ever needing to be asked which was greatly appreciated.

This is the second time I've used Dryer Vent Wizard, and I had good experiences both times. Seven years ago Jerry came out and did a lot of dirty work. There was a lot of lint, and the dryer vents outside, necessitating climbing out the window onto a flat roof. Among other things, he installed a screen to prevent birds from nesting in the vent (he actually found a robin's nest). Seven years later, one of his crew came for what amounted to a shorter maintenance call, since Jerry had done the right thing all those years go. The only reason I gave them a "4" not a "5" on the price is that I don't know what the median price is for this service. I was charged this year the same price that I paid seven years ago, but if I weren't a repeat customer it might have been more.

The service technician called just prior to scheduled appointment to confirm. Arrived on time and described what was involved with the service and pricing including dryer vent cleaning, clean vent tray cavity, replace outside vent cover. Discovered birds nest just inside the outside vent exhaust pipe and removed it. Then Roy performed a thorough vent pipe cleanout and serviced the lint tray cavity. Installed a new bird proof exhaust cover. I felt the pricing was high, especially for the vent cover, $98, but Roy stated that it comes with a lifetime warranty which covers free replacement and cleanout should the cover become compromised.

Dryer Vent Wizard responded to my request for a quote about 2 hours after I submitted it; the other two Super Service companies still haven't gotten back to me, 6+ hours later. Quote was for $165-225 for a cleaning; turned out that my vent was out of code (soft hose rather than rigid) and completely stuffed. Dave (the tech) explained everything fully and quoted $639; with the Angie's List coupon, I paid $614. Really friendly, did an excellent job, explained everything, and cleaned up after himself.

First of all they were very professional and did a great job at what they did. Only issue is the owner promised they would do more and that is why you pay a premium. This included taking measurements of air flow etc. none of this was done. They just scraped out the vents and left. The owner described other companies as ‘blow and go’ but said his was different. I saw no evidence of that. Also we agreed to an 8:30 to 9am start because 1 of the 3 units was unavailable until 10am. They arrived at 8am and told me they ‘would deal with’ that unit if they complain. It was a lot of money for less than 90 minutes effort

Your third comment about a lot of money for 90 minutes, we had two techs on-site and you have to consider the travel time which with traffic is well over an hour to get to Charlestown, I have to pay my techs for that time. You did mention according to the techs "that they did a great job and you were very happy with our service"."

The work was completed in 30minutes.. 79dollars for service call plus labor and parts.. I am happy with work but find the charges on the very high side.. They did accept coupon from angles list but that was 10 dollars.. Would have saved at least 100 dollars by going with appliance repair company.. They wanted another 100dollars to instal the outside vent cover..passed on that will pick one up at HD and instal myself

The difference between the Wizard and the other company that came to my house was amazing. The appointment was set up promptly, the guy came on time and did a complete diagnostic of the venting system, finding that a bird had gotten into my vent pipe. He explained what needed to be done and what it would cost. It was not cheap, but you don't mind paying for work well done.

They were professional and helpful, and also replaced some of the venting to make our setup safer. They also offered some advice on how we had our washing machine set up, and recommended getting a plumber in. We have peace of mind knowing that they did a thorough job.

This is the second time I've used Dryer Vent. I have been very satisfied with the work. This time the technician suggested that we install new tubing the next time they come. He was very clear about the advantages and made it appear that the cost will not be significantly more than the cleaning itself, with long-lasting benefits. They have also been honest both times in saying that we don't need service more often than every two years. Overall, a very reasonable cost that gives us peace of mind.

Two guys came to do the job and they were both extremely nice and courteous and answered any questions I had. They told me that the vents were extremely clogged and that they should be cleaned annually. Since this is what they do numerous times a day the whole process was very quick and efficient. For the amount of time they spent $220 per dryer seems a bit steep but I didn't price any other company and I have a feeling that's probably the going rate in my area. Since we have very long dryer vents it isn't anything we can do ourselves so I was very glad to have it done.
