Pretty badly
Description of Work: Needed a key laser cut. First try - guy who knows how to run the machine is out sick Second try - He's in but it will take 20 minutes to reset the machine (I had to leave for a trip to NY) Third Try - I had my own blank and gave it to the kid. This is what happened: Kid: "its $50" Me: "that's fine" Kid: "Sometimes it doesn't work" Me: "Are you telling me that if you screw up my blank I still owe you $50" Kid: "Sometimes the key we are copping is worn" Me: "That key works perfectly" Voice from the back: "Dont do it" Me: "So long losers"

Description of Work: Company will not install any hardware they do not sell. The representative nsisted the hardware we had purchased was inferior and stated he thought that company had gone out of business already, as he doesn't know who would buy from them. We made the selection of hardware based on Consumer Reports 10/05 ratings. I do appreciate that we clarified this issue over the phone, rather than sheduling them for a service call and only finding out later.

 + -1 moreThe technician arrived on-time and worked quickly fixing six doors in less than three hours. He offered thoughtful advise about which locks could remain and which needed to be changed for security purposes as well as repaired loose tongue plates.
Description of Work: After purchasing a two-family home, we learned that all doors and deadbolts for both units had different keys. There were a total of 15 keys for the building. Also, outside doors had interior, bedroom-quality, locks on the handles. City lock changed the outside door handles to MKII rated locks as well as refit all interior locks. Now, each unit requires only one key.

WE USED CITY LOCK FOR KEY DUPLICATIONS SINCE AND HAVE ALWAYS FOND THEM TO BE COURTEOUS, FAIR-PRICED AND THE WORK IS FINISHED WHEN THEY SAY IT WILL BE. WE WOULD RECOMMEND CITY LOCK FOR ALL YOUR LOCK NEEDS
