+ -1 moreGerry did a great job painting my kitchen cabinets! He even installed the hardwares. He is very professional and always on time. He's very nice , friendly and restpectful. And he has a very reasonable price. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone who needs a paint job.

+ -1 moreGerry came out to review the work to be done and gave us a fair estimate. he seemed to be a nice enough guy and we gave him the job. One day before the start of the job he said he would be at the house at 9am then never showed up. We never heard form him again. All calls went unanswered and our paint job is booked 2 months out because every other contractor is booked for the summer. Don't risk your job to this guy. Plenty of good pointers out there to choose one who would do this to someone.
Description of Work: Gerry was supposed to do some exterior painting for us but never showed up.

+ -1 moreWhile he did try to fix the problems we brought to his attention, there was just too much to fix. The job should have been done properly the first time. I am very upset because we spent a lot of money on our renovations, but the paint job looks sloppy. I thought that it would have been easy to do a good job since all the materials they were painting were brand new. I would have expected a professional painter to take the time to properly prep the area they are going to paint but this was not the case. Bottom line, Gerry was a nice guy, but not such a great painter. I wish that I had done the job myself.
Description of Work: We had just renovated our downstairs putting in all new plaster walls, wood doors and moldings and plaster ceiling and hired Burke Painting to prep, prime and paint the space. Gerry and an assistant worked on the job. They failed to sand any of the raw wood moldings, instead globbed paint over rough surfaces. They painted over shallow nail holes without fully filling them in, some nails were sticking out and they painted over them instead of banging them in. When this was brought to Gerry’s attention, he claimed that he wasn’t used to working with wood (although his company logo said painting and carpentry!). Lines where two colors meet (trim and wall color) were wavy and not straight. They were careless about getting paint on my brand new lighting fixtures on the ceiling and door hardware. Any area that could not be easily seen (under window sills, top edges of doors or window moldings) were left unpainted (raw wood left exposed).

Description of Work: Gerry was responsive to my requests; he was punctual; he finished EARLY!! I am so pleased with his work that I have already recommended him to others. I had a 900+ sq.ft. apartment that needed an overhaul, and it was done to my complete satisfaction.

+ 1 more.We needed to have our kitchen cabinets painted, so we had Burke Painting give us an estimate. Gerry had done work for us in the past, including cleaning our gutters in the spring and fall. The cabinets look fantastic. They were a dark cherry color originally. Gerry primed them and gave them two finish coats. He recommended an oil based finish and an off white color which looks really good. The work was carried out in a timely and professional manner and our tenants found him very easy to work with. We will definitely use Burke Painting in the future.

+ -1 moreGerry done an excellent work. He skim coated the walls after removing the wallpaper which saved us having to call in a plasterer. He was punctual and was there everyday himself. His work is neat and tidy and looks really good and my friends agree. He was also a great help in picking colors. I am also going to have him paint the exterior of my home in a couple weeks.
Description of Work: Gerry and his guys removed wallpaper and painted three room and a hallway in my home.
