Weston Electric

This is a belated entry. We bought an 1885 Victorian in July 2007. The work was performed in 2007 from July through November. I give the crew a lot of credit. This was a challenge of a house - old plaster and wood lath walls and ceilings. We were not gutting the house to rehab so they did not have open walls and had to be careful cutting holes, pulling wires throughout the house. To make it more of a challenge, we moved into the house in mid July. Weston Electric does not have an army of electricians and had to service their other customers as well. The project would have moved more quickly if Weston Electric had been able to put a crew on our site 5 days a week instead of 2 or 3 days as was the case most of the time. That being said, having a few electricians working in the house at a time, hitting an specific area of the house each week over the few months made it possible for us to co exist. Had we been able to close on the house sooner and move in later it would have been a much easier situation for all involved. All in all, we are satisfied with the work that was done. Thanks Jeff and please thank your guys too - we hope you all are well.

Personnel were very profession, had a list of charges and were able to come at a convenient time.

The owner showed up on time to give me an estimate of time and materials. I got a call from the office shortly thereafter to set up an appointment. Two electricians showed up promptly at 8am and worked the entire day. Towards the end, they called in another person to help finish up the work. They had cleaned up after themselves and collected all the trash (but seem to have forgotten to have taken it to the trash bin, which was no big deal). They were very polite and attentive to their work and took great pains to make sure that their work looked good.

We've used a number of electricians in the past and this was a welcome change. Our biggest problem was finding someone to treat our small repair jobs with the same respect as larger, more lucrative jobs. Weston Electric did just that. They promptly returned my initial call, scheduled service for the following day, showed up on time, quickly diagnosed the problems, and fixed them. I felt their price was fair for the work performed.

Very responsive. Answered phone instead of answering machine. Had an electrician over within the hour. Diagnosed problem quickly (bad splice in the old wire) and repaired it successfully. Professional, responsive, and cleaned up after themselves. This was not a difficult problem to solve, but they did the job quickly and well.

One thing that I really appreciate that is when I call I get a real person. It is not a recording and that to me is very good within a company. They were professional and hard working and I would recommend them to other people any time. They are great.

The workers showed up on time. They were polite, neat and answered all my questions. They spent awhile trying to locate a way to put in a new circuit to the top floor and it looked like it would require tearing across the plaster ceiling so they came up with the dedicated 20 amp circuit as a work around.

I was very pleased with the work. During the quoting process, he made recommendations regarding number of lights and placement taking into consideration furniture layout and reflection. They arrived on time, performed the work in the said time and the bill was slightly less than the estimate. They used drop cloths and hand held vacuums so there was no mess.

They did really great work. They were not excessive in charge. They were prompt, responsive and quick. I really liked them.

Prompt, organized, professional. Plan to use them for more extensive work soon.

Great experience-- returned our initial call (unlike 3 others electricians), fixed the problem quickly, installed a temporary solution for us, then did the final fix. Answered the phone every time and came when they said they would.

Jeff was on time for the estimate and knowledgeable, answering my many questions and explaining the potential difficulties he might encounter during the various installations. He was extremely thorough and I had an estimate within a few days. His associate, Norm, arrived right on time to do the work. It was obvious that he and Jeff had a long discussion about what was to be done. The job was completed within the specified time frame and under budget. One hole was mismeasured and came through the floor, but Norm called me and was very up front about it, taking full responsibility for the error. Jeff sent out a floor company and they did a great repair job. Jeff followed up with me throughout the process, making sure I was happy with the electrical work and the repairs on the floor. This is one of the most professional companies I have ever dealt with. The work they did was top quality, their customer service is excellent, and they now have a customer for life!

I've known Jeff as an acquaintance for about 6-8 years. I mentioned to him in a few weeks I needed more light. He told me to call the office. I called the office on 02/01/06 and he never called back. I ran into him on Saturday and said, "Gee, Jeff, I haven't heard from you" and he said "Rome wasn't built in a day!" I thought that was unprofessional.

THEY WERE A BIT LATE ARRIVING, BUT ONCE THEY GOT HERE THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL. NOT ONLY DID THEY FIGURE OUT WHAT SWITCH WORKED OUR FLOODLIGHTS, BUT THEY PULLED OUT THEIR LADDER AND REPLACED ALL OUR BULBS FOR US. THEY ALSO COINCIDENTALLY WERE HERE WHILE OUR TELEPHONE WAS NOT WORKING AND THEY TESTED THE OUTSIDE CONNECTION FOR ME. VERY PERSONABLE PEOPLE.

I HAD A MYSTERIOUS CIRCUIT BREAKER THAT KEPT TURNING OFF POWER TO MY KITCHEN AND GARAGE. THEY WENT THROUGH EACH SWITCH TO FIND THE ORIGIN ONLY TO FIND THAT IT WAS A LOOSE WIRE HANGING IN THE GARAGE. I APPRECIATE THEIR THOROUGH NATURE IN FINDING THE CAUSE WITHOUT HAVING TO RIP APART MY WALLS.

EXCELLENT; PROMPT, COURTEOUS, AND RESPONSIVE; WILL DEFINITELY USE AGAIN.

WHEN THEY SHOWED UP TO INSTALL THE FAN, THE WORKER HAD A HELPER. THEY DID NOT INSTALL A WHOLE NEW FAN, AND USED PART OF THE OLD FAN. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THEY DID NOT TIGHTEN THE SCREWS AND HAD ONLY INSTALLED A MOTOR AND DID NOT INSTALL COWLING. I WAS A LITTLE TAKEN BACK BY THE PRICE AND REALIZED THAT I PAID $90 EACH FOR THE WORKER AND THE HELPER. I WOULD QUESTION THE PRICE BEFORE I HIRE THE COMPANY AGAIN.

COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL MEN WHO ARE WELCOME IN MY HOME ANY TIME!

THE COMPANY DID NOT GET BACK TO ME. I WAS LOOKING FOR A QUOTE ON SOME ELECTRICAL WORK AND LEFT SPECIFICS AND WANTED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR AN ELECTRICIAN TO COME TO MY HOUSE TO MAKE A PROPOSAL.

THE 2 GENTLEMEN WHO PERFORMED THE SERVICE WERE QUICK AND EFFICIENT. I WOULD DEFINITELY CALL ON WESTON ELECTRIC AGAIN FOR OTHER JOBS AROUND THE HOUSE.

I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS COMPANY. THE JOB ONLY TOOK THREE HOURS, WHICH WAS GREAT BECAUSE IT WAS VERY COLD OUT. HE WAS VERY GOOD IN RETURNING PHONE CALLS.

ED AND NORMAN ARE VERY RESPONSIVE AND PUNCTUAL. THEY WORK EFFICIENTLY AND CLEAN UP THOROUGHLY. WE WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN AS NEEDED. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

I BOUGHT FIXTURE AND THEY SUGGESTED I NOT USE A HOLLIGAN, VERY HELPFUL.

RIGHT ON TIME (7:30AM), WORKED UNTIL 4PM WITHOUT STOPPING FOR LUNCH. ABSOLUTELY PROFESSIONAL AND POLITE, EXPLAINED ANY UNEXPECTED ISSUES AND GAVE ME OPTIONS, CLEANED UP EVERYTHING WHEN FINISHED. GIVEN HOW LONG THEY WERE HERE I THOUGHT THE BILL WOULD BE MUCH HIGHER. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.

THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF ANGIES LIST, AND WERE VERY PLEASED TO HEAR ABOUT BEING LISTED HERE - I EVEN GAVE HIM THE WEB SITE ADDRESS SO THAT HE COULD FIND OUT WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT. VERY PLEASANT GUYS, ALSO VERY HELPFUL
