Description of Work: Completed certified plot plan for a 1+-acre of woods. They needed to make multiple trips to the property to do preliminary measurements, stake ALL sides, walk property with me to point out stakes, and then measure areas of encroachment. The price was per the original proposal. I didn't have to pay any additional. It took a month after I signed proposal before they were able to come out to start.

Description of Work: Initially, a land survey was completed in preparation for new fencing in 2009; dealt well with abutting disgruntles neighbors that were less than pleased that we were taking down our old rotting fence. This was in large part, because they were aware of our intent to replace it with new fencing and given current city guidlines that that would mandate that any new fencing erected on the property would have to be placed on the property line vs. 1-2 feet inside the property line were the old fence once stood. They were asked to verify there original survey x2, responded to re-measure each time and their original survey was correct, new copies given to us with the new date and stamped and new fencing only done after neighbors were satisfied with the survey results. They then came again around an application for a variance in May 2010 and charged a mere $200 to verify yet a third dispute again alledging the survey was incorrect-same neighbor each of the three times sadly. And, actually appeared at a variance hearing around that same abutter's attempt to oppose any approval of our request for a variance. Again VTP Associates original land survey was correct and copies with a new date and stamp given to us. They were thorough around the land survey for us at our property and the original markers were old and hard to find in our neighborhood.

+ -1 moreWe engaged VTP as the result of a recommendation from a local architect. We probably would not use them again, although we have no issues with the quality of work performed and they charged us exactly what they quoted. Initially, they provided the initial site surveys as requested, as promised and on budget. However, during the later phases of the work, they were not as helpful. We considered one of the engineers to be rude and unprofessional during one of the interactions at the project site. When we asked for a mortgage plot plan, we expected that this would be a no-charge item since they had already done the more complex site survey, but they charged us a small $150 fee for it without really explaining the cost for the service. The VTP representative did not show up when promised for the as-built survey, and delayed the construction project 3 to 4 days. At the end, they insisted on cash payment before releasing the report. This requirement was consistent with the agreement, but we had to scramble to get a check to them at the time their (delayed) report was finalized. We were prompt payers, and wish they had been a little more customer focused.

Description of Work: LAND SURVEYED FOR DRIVEWAY WORK. THEY PERFORMED 3 SURVEYS; AN INITIAL ONE, ONE WITH PROFESSED DAMAGES TO DRIVEWAY, AND ONE AFTER THE DRIVEWAY WAS BUILT.
