Description of Work: Nothing. Never came by when he made an appt. to see the problem. I did not like his tel. contact either but did make an appt. with him. It is really bad when a person does not show up for an estimate and you are taking your time waiting!

+ 1 moreWe have some properties in Massachusetts and he has done a ton of work for me on two properties there where everything was built in 1916. He is not a big outfit kind of guy. He is an individual guy. He charges me $30 an hour and he does some unbelievable work. He is a master carpenter. He does not do plumbing and electrical but he is a great carpenter. I can definitely vouch for him and I would use him all day everyday if I could. I am very very high on him. Anything that I have to do in Massachusetts, he is the guy. My sense is that he is not a good businessman. I do not think that he knows how to charge or anything else.
Description of Work: The last time that I used Rick Wiggins was some time in 2012 for redoing the downstairs kitchen in a duplex that I have. He also remodeled the duplex before that. He redid the floors and the walls. He put in new windows in the whole place, a new kitchen and a new bathroom.

+ 1 moreRick is excellent and very knowledgable. We have used him on several projects and he is willing to scope the project to your budget. He has done kitchen work, painting, woodwork and carpentry. If we could afford to have him working at our home everyday, we would.

Description of Work: Rick painted the interior and exterior of my house. Designed and built 2 decks (15 X 20) and (10 X 10). Designed and built a 10 X 19 shed with sky lights. This shed is the envy of the neighborhood.

+ 5 moreThe upstairs unit was unoccupied. The work took a couple of months. I got regular process reports and pictures as I live out of state. Rick Wiggins came up with excellent ideas during the work cycle like refinishing the floors. I didn't even know we had hard wood floors until he came up with this money saving suggestion. The work was completed in a timely professional manner. This guy is a craftsman and takes great pride in his work. You will not get a slick sales pitch just a great job for a reasonable price. After the remodel was complete this unit rented in a weekend for 67% more than before the remodel.
Description of Work: I recently inherited a duplex in Newton, Massachusetts. The property was built in 1916 and was in need of a major remodel. Replaced all windows in the building. Remodeled Kitchen and bathroom in upstairs unit. (major remodel - gutted and replaced with all new). Installed all new cabinets and countertops. Tiled bathroom and worked with a plumber to install all new fixtures in kitchen and bath. Repaired all walls and painted entire unit (walls & ceilings) 5 rooms. Refinished hardwood floors (were covered with Linoleum) Added crown molding throughout.
