 + -1 moreI spoke with Steve and told him about the problem, and we scheduled an appointment for a couple of days later for him to look at the problem and give me an estimate. Steve didn't show up for the appointment and did not call to reschedule (or return my call). It was disappointing.
Description of Work: I found Steve @ American Building on Angie's List and called him to get an estimate to repair roofing and siding in an area of my building where there is a leak.

 + 2 moreSteve did a great job on the framing of the house and strengthening the beams in the basement. He takes a lot of pride in his work and makes sure he gets it done right. There were some delays along the way due to weather, availability of workers, and his schedule some weeks. We were not in a hurry to finish the job by a certain date so we didn't mind that it took a little longer. Some issues did come up during construction that had to be dealt with. We did negotiate more money from the original contract for these items. But everything was dealt with and completed. Steve built the house according to plan and made suggestions along the way to help out. He also did little things that came up along the way to get the job completed. The house passed inspection without one single issue from the City of Newton.
Description of Work: 2nd Floor Addition. Added second floor addition on a one story ranch house in Auburndale, MA. Took old roof off, gutted the interior, strengthened outside walls, made house weather tight by framing new roof and walls, installing windows, installing roofing, and installing Tyvek wrap. Completed all interior partitions for new second floor and re-configured the first floor. Added new basement stairs and strengthened all beams in the basement to meet code.
