They had to come back a second time because none of the installations worked right. They were to install the hardware and rehang the drapes and shades The hardware needed to be adapted and bent in places in order to function as needed. On two windows, although I accepted the hardware, the drape catches a bit and a different style hardware would have been correct. When I asked why they chose the hardware they did, I was told it was because it was in stock. This is not the expertise in judgment I expect from professionals. In addition, screws were left scattered around windows, pieces of discarded plastic wrapping were on the floor and no offer was made to help me move furniture back in place. The installer initially let me know everything was fine and he was leaving. He seems surprised but willing when I said we would check each window before he left. None of the drapes moved smoothly and two of them wouldn't go all the way across. He had been unable to make the new shade hardware work properly and so at my request reinstalled my old hardware so I could have my shades and took the ineffective hardware away. They had selected the hardware. After the second visit, with a lot of bending of pieces of equipment and tinkering, things work well enough. I had them reinstall the bottom anchor on one drape so that it wasn't showing beneath the drapes. Very bad judgment to have installed it beneath in a way that let the hardware show at the bottom. The explanation I got for why it was screwed into my wall that way initially was that the installer was used to drapes that went to the floor. This was sill level drapery They were polite and available through the process. What I came to believe is that they simply didn't have the knowledge and experience to handle selecting new hardware for existing drapes and then installing it. They initially told me that the installation was included in the cost of the hardware and there would be no additional fee. I paid for all the hardware that they selected with that understanding. The day before the installation was to take place, they contacted me telling me that that was a mistake and in fact there would be a charge.

Description of Work: My contractor recommended rkmiles. I met with Jason Urban, the designer, 3-4 times at the store, and we communicated several times on email. He also came to my home to review the kitchen and obtain accurate measurements. He was very helpful and respectful. The original quote was very high, but I did a little more research, went to another designer and obtained competing quotes. Found an on-line promotion from the cabinet manufacturer and brought this to Jason. He continued to work with me until the cost fell within my budget without sacrificing quality or function. Cabinets have been ordered but not arrived yet. Have full confidence that I will be happy with the product and service.
